Thanks to My Supreme Grandeur Buddha for Your kind Render for the downpours on Australia's bushfire areas over the week! 🙏🙏🙏 🌧 💧 Today I just had time to read the international news about the bushfires again. ABC said the rainfalls acoss New South Wales (NSW) during Tue, 14th Jan till today brings some relief to areas hit by bushfires and drought. It's the delight of many people across NSW and Queensland (Qld). They started to celebrate the downpours since Wed, 15th when there were two storms in Cunnamulla! And they enjoyed the downpours up to 150 m.m. on Thur, 18th Jan! 🌧 💧 Although there's a flashflood at the Australian Raptile Park, they said they would be open this weekend. Hope it's true. 🌧 💧 A farmer in Qld said they've had no rain virtually since March last year. And before the storms rendered, the temparature in Qld used to be as high as 46°c! 🌧 💧 Oh dear! I didn't know that before! 46°celcius! 🌧 💧 Some other media sources said the downpours in NSW and Victoria cooled down the temparature and made the firefightings successfull in 32 areas from about 120 areas. Although there's still a lot to do, the downpours help relieve the firefighters' tension for now. And new-moon lent days too! We call them big lent da 🌝 🌬 And we treat them more specially than "little lent days" (first-quater moon lent days and last-quater moon lent days). 🌝 🌬 🌝 🌬 🌝 🌬 Normally there are four lent days a month. But there could be five in some months. Anyway, we have lent days about once a week. 🌝 🌬 Today I feed you January calendar with lent day marks. Hope it'll be helpfull for you, especially in preparing merit stuffs beforehand or making appointments with your friends for lent day activities. 🌝 🌬 🌝 🌬 🌝 🌬 The last lent day of this month is the Chinese New Year's Eve. W u n G o a n ! ! ! Wednesday, 8th January B.E. 2563 is a Wun Goan (monks' head-shaving day). Have you offered Sanghadana over the New Year Season yet? 🏵 🧡 🌼 Thai Buddhists like offering (respectfull giving to monk or temple) Sanghadana cuz it gives high Anisangsa (Fruits). 🏵 🧡 🌼 And you can prepare your Sanghadana set by yourself. It's not dufficult! 🏵 🧡 🌼 Just buy a net bag or a yellow tub and put neccessary consumer products in it... • unscented shampoo/soap • crystal noodles/small pack of raw rice • packed curry/canned food • dried dessert like wafer or whatever you like • safe medicines • stationery like pen, A4 paper, paper notebook, etc • The most important thing is a monk robe. Some guys use Ticivara (full set of monk robes). But I only use knitted Angsa. • I also put a razor for head shaving, a lighter, kitchen utensils and a face mask with filter cuz Thailand's having PM 2.5 dust. 🏵 🧡 🌼 I separately offered a plastic chair, money for Vipassanadhura, drinking water & application forms for ordination, printed by the National Office of Buddhism (not in the pic). 🏵 🧡 🌼 Another important thing is a set of jotsticks, two yellow candles and a thornless flower bundle or a garland. I used fabric golden lotuses instead cuz I didn't have enough time to prepare a flower bundle (not in the pic). You can't miss this set! It's important! 🏵 🧡 🌼 Arranging the stuffs in a net bag is easy. Hope you can find a nice bag with reasonable price. I bought this one from a 20Baht shop! Haha...
