Link To All (DDD) would have been a way better Sora theme than the actual self-titled one. (Proof below)

Link to All is multifaceted.

"Sora's Theme" doesn't tell you much about the character except that he's happy go lucky. The 2.5 remixed version is better, but it's still no Link to All.

Jeez, at this point anon actually kind of misses the haters of decades ago. Previously, haters would just say you're wrong, or call you an idiot, or say you have bad taste, etc.

But people like mattress or eric aren't satisfied with claiming you're wrong, they have to claim you have mental problems on top of it.

At least the haters of previous decades were AWARE that not everyone thought like they do; they just thought "everyone else is wrong and we're right".

But mattress and eric don't even have that kind of awareness; they think everyone naturally has the same mindset they do but are just suffering from some sort of brain disorder.

They don't think "everyone else is wrong", they think "everyone is self-righteous, everyone else has protagonist syndrome, everyone else is a misogynist, everyone else is mentally ill or delusional or emotionally imbalanced etc. etc. etc."

They're not above ableism when it suits them.

Everything you said is correct, I would also add that they're the ones with issues if they're so easily triggered by people not liking a video game (let's ignore for a second that I'm not every instance of "KH2 hating anon" as explained in an old post). But even if their opponents did have mental problems, it doesn't make the two morons more credible, nor does it invalidate any criticisms towards them or their sacred cow.

They can call me autistic (and other variations) all they want, my problem is more so that they pretend to have the moral high ground while doing so.

Pretty much the same feelings here, I wouldn't say I hate or even dislike it but it's just not something I go out of my way to watch. It's one of those shows where the only seasons worth your time are the ones you grew up with (which for me is Kanto, Orange and a bit of Johto - I think I only watched as much of the first Johto season as I did because it had the best opening). I've heard good things about some of the later seasons, but have never really been captivated either.

Do you have any strong feelings on ash being replaced?

Not really. I feel the same way about his retirement as I do him winning a championship.

The writing of the series and characterization of Ash changed so much by the time he got to Sinnoh that he was functionally replaced a long time ago. He has not been the Ash Ketchum I love for nearly two decades.

And frankly... I don't think the pokemon anime is worth watching past the Orange league anyway. I love Pokemon Gold and Silver, they're easily my top games in the franchise, especially their remakes, but like.. the anime season was definitely the beginning of everything wrong with pokemon right now.... explaining that would be quite a wall of text, but suffice to say, this is when they decided that every region Ash visits should last until the next game in the series is on the horizon, and instead of fitting the whole region neatly into one season like they did with Indigo league, they inject many, many filler episodes into the series, which, I don't consider filler bad by itself, but Pokemon was already very formulaic and the filler episodes just crank it up to 11.

I have peeked in on pokemon anime every so often but it always fails to captivate me and I don't think this new series will be any different.

The game's story may be filled with problems, but it's the idiots in the fandom that really makes it look bad.

I don't usually shit talk fan projects, but when the creator and his boot lickers are all crying "BETTER THEN CANON" until we go deaf, it's a bit different, and this is no exception. And people ask why others are so wary of fan projects, especially rewrites, they're usually just circlejerks, Lotus and Omens included!

Lotus was horrible, even Spider-Man 3 was better. And Sonic Omens was as bad as the worst of Sonic, while never even coming close to reaching the highs.

Spider-Man Lotus is the best Spider-Man.

Spider-Man Lotus is the Sonic Omens of Spider-Man films... in that it was a shitty fan project made out of spite by shitty people for monetary gain.

(I have joked multiple times that Sonic and Spider-Man are the same character, and yet, I'm not liking how that's becoming more and more true every day)

If mattress and eric were outright bullying apologists, anon would have MORE respect for them, because at least then they'd have "consistent principles." Instead they change the rules of morality depending on their likes and dislikes. For example, they held Willow 50% responsible for Amity's bullying because Willow was too self-deprecating in her response. But they also argued that Adora, just as self-deprecating, was NOT 50% responsible for Catra's bullying, because they like Adora better.

I would too, getting off their moral high ground would make them a lot more tolerable. They should also just admit they have certain preferences and kinks. Those examples just highlight how inconsistent their values are!

TheMattress and ultraeircthered/Agent Pierce were both notorious DP anime haters for years and praised BW for returning the anime to its roots (although not really), and both hated XY because they cannot handle competent Ash. Both used to cause arguements on TVtropes, Toonzone, bulbagarden/serebii, etc. for years. They have bias views for what a positive female role model is.

Not surprised they've caused arguments on other sites, and your last sentence is completely true as well. What was themattress' account name?

I don't agree with this 100% (I hate the fandom more than the show tbh) but this is a well-thought of post with strong points to back it up, I don't see how anyone could take issue with it -

... Sonic SatAM. There’s not really much to say about it.

Sonic SatAM is the antithesis of what a Sonic Show should be. Here’s a few warning signs so that you understand.

The show does not revolve around Sonic, and his adventures fighting Eggman. Tails is placed on  the backburner for ‘being a kid’, Dr. Fakeman (or Robotnik), Sonic is forced to be the second fiddle/attack dog for the creator’s pet / canon foreigner / miss show stealer fan-favourite Sally Acorn. The show has a dreadful habit of using poorly done, barely workable characters at the expense of more interesting characters (Antoine and Dulcy in favour of Bunnie and Rotor). And, Sonic is reduced to a moron just so the setting can work (Mobotropolis would not have become Dr. Fakeman’s if Sonic had even a eighteenth of his brain power), much less the romance they force Sonic and Sally into.

Which Chloe was the previous anon talking about? Are they talking about Chloe Bourgeois, the female bully from Miraculous Ladybug? That seems "out of character" for mattress and eric, usually THEY'RE the ones who like female bullies. Why would they call people delusional for liking Chloe...oh, wait, it must be for the same reason they hate Maki Harukawa. Because Chloe has a crush on Adrien, a boy, they can't put Chloe in a lesbian ship, so for once they want a female bully to face consequences.

They're so transparent it's pathetic. You just know if she didn't like Adrien, they would be gushing over her, even if everything else was the same, but canon doesn't validate their fantasy, which is the only reason they criticize basically anything. Their views are ultimately based on personal feelings.

They'll harass anyone that doesn't agree with them over the dumbest shit, I wish I could say this was surprising but it's the usual from them. Either way thanks for the warning! The only delusional ones are those two.

I don't have much to say about the KH4 trailer, but I am curious about Quadratum and Strellitzia's role and I particularly liked the scene at the end with Hades talking to Donald and Goofy, I'll probably reblog this with each trailer that gets shown, I don't feel like we have much to go off at the moment.

Since you mentioned that mattress and eric have the worst taste in female characters ever, one thing that's interesting is "the exception that proves the rule": remember anon mentioned Maki Harukawa from Danganronpa V3 in a previous ask? She's one of the few female jerks that mattress and eric unambiguously despise. And what separates Maki from other female jerks? She falls in love with Kaito, a man. So because they can't put Maki into a lesbian ship, SHE apparently deserves actual consequences.

This is proof they don't care about female characters as individuals, no matter what they say, just props to be molded into their personal fantasies.
