Satoshi Fujihara x reader (timeskip)

Domestic life and a break from your schedules.

Satoshi lays awake in your shared apartment, eyes widened too early for the hour. His classes began at 12, so his alarm was set for 10.

One hour to lay in bed. Thirty minutes to get ready. Forty minutes to commute. He’d always be ten minutes late to his first class- but did it really matter when his professor was always twenty?

You said it mattered, that he should try to be on time if only for the principle of it. Satoshi didn’t understand what principles had to do with anything.

It’s been his routine ever since he went back to school, and he hasn’t broken it ever.

It’s already 7:10 and you’re bustling around, your shift starting at 9 o’clock sharp. You didn’t need an alarm, your circadian rhythm adjusting to your work schedule as soon as you got the job years ago. Even on your days off- you never failed to wake up at 7.

Twenty minutes in the bathroom. Ten minutes to change. Thirty minutes to eat. Ten minutes to walk to the train. Your commute was twenty minutes, so you always arrive thirty minutes early.

Satoshi thought it was overkill- teasing you with the silly habit from your school days. You couldn’t deny the fact.

It’s your routine, and you’d only see yourself breaking it for something horrible happening.

Satoshi grumbles to himself, moving through the sheets as he slumps his arms over your empty spot. You’re in the connecting bathroom, so close yet so, so far. He’s not supposed to be up in another three hours- yet your absence by his side hits him like a truck.

You exit the bathroom at 7:20 on the dot- moving through the bedroom in your towel. Satoshi’s tired eyes move with you- watching as you prepare yourself for the day. You notice his wake a few minutes in, confused as you know more than anyone how much he values his rest.

“Can’t sleep?” Your kind tone makes him feel bad for being so grumpy. Satoshi can’t lie, he blames you a bit for not being able to sleep. No other rest can beat a bed by your side. And while this routine has been common for the past two years you’ve been living together- there’s just a sudden wave of missing you wafting through the air.

“Nope.” Satoshi pops his ‘e’ with a tired blink of his eyes.

“What’s up?” You sit next to him- moving the wet towel away from his coveted place of rest.

Satoshi quiets- unsure of whether he wants to admit the embarrassing wave of affection. You start poking at his cheek though, and all resolve crumbles.

“…just miss you.”

You feel a bit bad for being shocked but after years of putting up with his nonchalant aloof attitude- who could blame you? Your smile spreads through your cheeks and you start to giggle at his reply.

“What? Did I say something dumb?” Satoshi asks, genuinely concerned.

“Nope- nothing at all,” you poke his scrunched up nose with your finger, watching as his features soften up. “Join me for breakfast then, I never get to eat with you in the mornings.”

You grab him by the hands, dragging his lanky frame to a sitting position. “It’s not like I eat in the mornings anyways…”

“Well, sit with me at least?”

You ask him with such a kind demeanor, such a soft smile, such a loving tone. He’s settled it a long time ago, but Satoshi could never say no to you.

It’s 7:30 when you two sit for breakfast. Satoshi cooks you a short meal, and you’re shocked at how bad his morning cooking is compared to his nighttime. You have to step into help him and it’s 7:50 as you sit down to eat.

It’s 8:15 as you finish up, and you ask Satoshi to walk you to the station. Not that you’re any concerned for yourself- but you can literally see the way he yearns for you to spend more time with him. And of course, Satoshi can never say no to you.

You two get to the station at 8:30, and your train is running late by twenty minutes. Satoshi stays with you the entire time, hand holding yours in his jacket pocket- shielding you in the inside of the crosswalk as you wait.

You get to work 9:10- ten minutes late than usual. Nobody at your shift cares, though your boss is concerned something horrible happened to make you break your streak. You tell her quite the opposite.

Satoshi gets back to your apartment at 9:10. His first class starts at 12:00.

He thinks it’ll the first time in a long time he’ll break his routine.

Maybe he’ll be a little early today, if only for the principle of it.

In my head after the good endings MC goes into a job after graduation while Satoshi takes a gap year before pursuing higher education. Teehee

Please Boost Me Over a 2.0! is an otome chatsim featuring you- a struggling college student barely hanging onto merit based financial aid. Hoping to boost your horrible GPA, you decide to use your winter break to take an online management course. 

Unfortunately, it seems you've been paired with the most incompatible group of people in existence to finish your final paper. A pair of scorned exes, an annoying troll, and you- an introvert with a crippling fear of confrontation. 

With everyone procrastinating till the last second, you four scramble to put together a paper that’s somewhat coherent. Stay up late, beg others to do their parts, and find there’s more to each of you than what meets the eye.

Winter traditions ~

Like the Halloween HCs- have some winter ones as well 💕

Satoshi Fujihara

Winter is the perfect time for bundling under his sheets and napping! Breaks are usually spent with him sleeping in, and he’s unlikely to leave his room until the afternoon.

Usually he and his grandfather drink tea at night, but sometimes during the colder nights he’ll make hot chocolate. Satoshi has a little bit of a sweet tooth, so he tends to add more sugar than necessary

While he doesn't like leaving his house in the cold, Satoshi enjoys taking pictures of the snow from outside his window. He likes the natural glow it gives to his photos

He'll try and exchange gifts with his grandfather Christmas Day but he's a horrible gift giver. Most of the time Satoshi will try and learn a new recipe because if he tried to buy something it'd probably just be a repeat of something they already have

Satoshi's grandfather gives him a new sweater every year :)

Elias Bolkiah

Elias’s family doesn’t celebrate Christmas, but he always exchanges gifts with you around this time. He also gets gifts for his sibling, but is more subtle about it cause he doesn’t want his parents to cause a fuss

Of course most of the stuff he gives you will be hand made, but he’s willing to give you anything (in monetary reason) if you ask for it. LOVES wrapping gifts but is horribly bad at it

Wakes up early in the winter so he can heat up his car before leaving for school. Does it in his pajamas, bunny slippers and all

Drinks iced coffee in the winter and hot coffee in the summer. He finds your shock at it entertaining and that’s the only reason why he does it lowk LMAO

Lilit Alighieri

Lilit’s parents work hard to provide for them so they often aren’t home, even in the winter season. With his limited budget from his various jobs, he tries to fill their space with all the festive decor

They try their best to get gifts for all his friends. Will tailor them to their interests because he’s cheesy like that. Paden gets sketching supplies, Elias gets pretty cloth, etc etc. Cries when receiving gifts themselves

LOVES TO ICE SKATE!!! The rink is his favorite date spot in the winter time. They're actually horrible at ice skating but he enjoys it nonetheless. Falling on his ass is half the fun

Doesn’t actually like winter as a season because he has to bundle up and cover his skin. It is the only season where him wearing his scarf 24/7 makes sense though so he appreciates it for that

Paden Canmore

Celebrates Christmas and his family takes it SO seriously. Elaborate dinner for both the Eve and day of- but Paden is a horrible cook so he’s stuck setting the table

Really fucking good at wrapping gifts. Like, absolutely pristine. If he was funnier he’d use his talent to shape the gifts into things so comically far off from what they actually are (ie wrapping a necklace in the shape of a dog)

I’ve mentioned it before but he’s also really good at getting gifts. He’s an observer to the chaos of your friends, which means he picks up on a lot of details about you guys that he’ll use in consideration when picking stuff out

Likes winter but it’s only because of the cute outfits that people wear outside. Gives him a lot of inspiration for sketching dynamic silhouettes and interesting clothing

Gets cold really easily though so wears multiple layers below his clothing. Perpetually cold hands but refuses to wear gloves cause he hates the way they feel

Elias doesn't expect you to accept his feelings, as he was pretty sure you never saw him as anything other than a friend. And with your graduation coming soon- he was sure you two would drift apart due to distance, time, and everything in between.

But he just desperately, desperately needed you to know how he felt. It didn't matter if confessing would make things weird between you, he didn't care anymore- he couldn't take the silent suffering under yearning for his best friend.

Being in high school meant he was pretty strapped for spending money. And if he had the funds, he certainly would've purchased the ingredients to make more homemade, special chocolates for you. At the very least, he bought your favorite flavor.

Going up to your locker before lunch was nerve racking. He hid the gaudy heart box behind his back, frowning as he saw you wade off a girl trying to get your affection.

The sight compounded with the amount of overflowing confession letters from your locker made his stomach queasy.

But even before the girl left your eyes caught his- your's lighting up as his presence was made known to you. When the attempted suitor finally leaves he waves you over with a smile. "Hey, Elias!" You cheer, "How was your day? Did you want any chocolate? I think my parents would be pretty pissed if I came home with so much..."

"Oh it was good, I guess..." He wants to stop himself from speaking- to force himself to bare the brunt and confess his feelings to his best friend- but he can't help the fact that it was so, so easy to fall into conversation with you. To forget all about his troubles and just focus on you, all of you. "I don't know if you saw me struggle during our science test today..."

Conversation continues as naturally as it always does, and he loses himself in forgetting the importance of your initial meeting.

Elias's posture begins to relax as your presence naturally coaxes his own comfortability. The arm hiding the chocolates slackens and you catch sight of the red heart in his hold.

"Hey, did someone confess to you today?" He wants to ignore the way your eyes light up in excitement at the prospect. You point towards the box in his hand and he wants to ignore the way your lips stretch into a grin. In all of his wanting to ignore he suddenly remembers is original intentions.

A blush comes to his cheeks and he considers brushing it off with a joke. You're smiling, giddy at the idea of someone confessing to him. You start to ramble teasings of him ignoring you for his partner and lighthearted banter at the idea that anyone would like him to begin with, all mixed with genuine excitement at the possibility of him finding love.

It hurts that you're so happy with the idea of him being with someone other than you.

It hurts enough to wane him off from confessing.

And so he bites his tongue, stopping the wave of affections he desperately, desperately wants to spill out.

"Oh my goodness, if I get a partner we can all go on a double date! We can go to the cafe I study at a lot, I get free entrees sometimes because they feel bad for me-"

"Pfffff-"

"What's so funny?"

"They give you free stuff cause you study there a lot? Oh my goodness, that's so sad- PFFFF-"

"Oh shut up! It's not sad, it's a nice gesture!"

"Your face is a nice gesture!"

"That's not even a good comeback! And you never told me who confessed to you," The half pout half smirk you give him is absolutely adorable and he has to stop himself from getting carried away with his teasing.

"Oh this thing?" Elias holds up the box with a roll of his eyes. "It's nothing, some guy just left it on my desk and ran. Didn't even see his face. I bet it tastes like ass anyways."

"Are you kidding me? That's my favorite flavor! If you aren't gonna eat it, give it to me!"

"Trade for a trade! Give me some of your's before you take my only one."

"I was gonna give you some either way, let's sort them outside since people are already leaving." With your signature smile punctuating your statement, Elias pauses, just admiring your presence as you beam at him.

Suddenly, he slaps a hand on your shoulder and runs towards the exit, "Race ya!"

"Hey! Wait up!"

His confession could wait another day. For when he wasn't terrified of losing what you two had. For when he was sure you'd be able to find it in you to love him more than a friend. For when he actually had money to buy you something more than cheap chocolate from the drug store.

For now, this was enough.

You wake up to a sight familiar to you.

To Satoshi, with messy hair and tired eyes. His lashes flutter with signs of sleep, stirred awake by your shifting form. One arm is bent to rest on his forehead, while the other is positioned under your neck comfortably. His two toned locks move with the wind, strewn about the pillows and tangled on his face.

His arms are exposed through the loose top he wears to sleep- a simple sight you thought you’d never get to witness before entering a relationship with him. His bare skin is warm, a suitable pairing to the cool breeze coming out of the open window.

The large blue sweater he gave you to wear helps greatly with temperature control as well.

“Morning sleeping beauty~” you giggle, bringing a hand to his cheek and stroking it gently.

"Mmmm..." his groan is rough with the memory of sleep.

Satoshi’s hand meets yours. Though you’re not sure he’s entirely awake, he manages to lace your fingers together. He presses your joined hands to his face, squishing his own cheek. His lips turn to a pout at the action, eyes closed.

“Hmmm..." his tone is lighter than the one previously, and you wonder if he's debating whether to fall back asleep or not. The arm underneath you begins to move- and you think the part of him that needs to wake wins. You start to shift your head to presumably let him stretch.

“Let’s get u- EEP!” you yelp as Satoshi rolls the entirety of his body on top of you.

He cuddles his head into your neck and you can't help the giggle that comes when you feel him speak into your skin. "...this is a nice dream..." you manage to hear him mumble out. Your run your fingers through his messy hair, avoiding the tangles as you scratch at his scalp. Satoshi lets out something akin to a purr and you roll your eyes.

"Now I know you're definitely not sleeping..." Despite your snarky words, you don't stop your affectionate actions.

Through his silence, Satoshi tries to keep up the sleepy facade. However, the feeling of his smile growing wider against your neck tells you everything you need to know about his state of wake.

While you would hate to interrupt his 10 hour and counting rest- you do need to get up yourself. You tap the back of his neck in an attempt to wake him up.

"Toshi- come on..." the tickle of your actions causes him to bury deeper into you- eager to keep up the idea that he's still asleep. "I know you're awake~"

"..." for a moment his breathing stops and you wonder if your deduction has killed him. "...no you don't."

"Yes I do."

"Nuh uh," Satoshi mumbles into your shoulder- eyes peeking up to meet yours. At soon as you two hit eye contact, he quickly face plants into you once more.

"Yuh huh," you can't help but laugh at his insistence at staying in bed. "Come on sleepy head- I have to get up. And you, have to get ready for class."

"What if I just didn't go," Satoshi says, muffled by your (his) sweater. "I don't have to go..."

"You promised me you'd try your best to keep up attendance. Can't end up being like Lilit now, right?"

"Well let's just say I tried my best and I still don't wanna go..." He turns his head to get some breath, unfortunately his exhales tickle at your neck. "It's not fair that you get to stay home all day and I don't..."

"It's not like I do nothing all day. I work when I'm at home- all you do is sleep even when you're in class," you humph, turning your head away from his.

"I'm sorryyyy-" he whines, poking at your cheek to try and make you face him again.

You puff out your cheeks, giving Satoshi the silent treatment as punishment for his claim.

“I didn’t mean it like that…” he continues poking at your cheek, yet your resolve remains unbroken.

He lifts himself up so his face is in front of yours. Satoshi slightly pushes your cheek so you're forced to face him.

"(player)... pleeeeaseeeeee..." he begins to poke at your puffed up cheeks from each side, frowning as you look at him without the loving affection he's used to.

You know you can't keep up your mild upset- but Satoshi doesn't know that. It's why he yelps in surprise when you grab at his own cheeks, beginning to knead them in response to his incessant pokes.

"AH-" he screams, trying to escape your attack by moving his face around in circles. "Stop it..." Satoshi whines.

"Only if you get up," you say as you continue to squish his cheeks.

Through tired eyes, Satoshi glares at you in reluctance. You momentarily pause your squishing, waiting for a response.

"Fine..." his lips turn to a pout once he admits defeat.

Your palms grab his cheeks and bring him towards you, kissing him quickly. Satoshi doesn't seem to have expected it- his eyes widening to an incredible degree. The cheeks you hold turn red as his smile becomes dopey. His eyes soften and you roll your own in an attempt to stop yourself from mirroring his affection.

"Let's get up now," you say, giggling at how lovestruck he looks.

Satoshi brings you in for one more kiss before resting his forehead against yours. "Let us."

You never would have expected to witness the quiet boy you grew up with regard you with such adoration. But if you asked him, Satoshi would've said he's always viewed you in such a way.

Some thoughts about the WYCLM characters in the spirit of Halloween …

Satoshi Fujihara

Never went trick or treating either cause his parents didn’t want to take him out or he never had the energy to go out

He does dress up though, and likes to sit on his porch with his grandfather giving out candy. Some kids will try and strike up conversation but he gets overwhelmed easily. His grandpa starts chatting with the kids instead LOL

His costumes are really low effort- toilet paper mummy type beat. Grandpa Fujihara will always try and match whatever costume Satoshi vaguely dresses up as

Satoshi’s favorite candies are tootsie rolls and jolly ranchers (the blue ones are his top favorite)

Elias Bolkiah

If you celebrate Halloween he is ALWAYS matching costumes with you omg. Always the stupidest ones too like two butts of a horse too. Don’t let his ass pick you two WILL look like fools

Even though his family doesn’t personally celebrate Halloween, he’ll go trick or treating if you go. Will always try and sneak extra candy so he can bring some home to his sibling

When the two of you get older and he gets a car, he’ll end up taking you two to the store so you guys can buy all the discounted Halloween candy for yourselves >:)

Elias’s favorite candies are lollipops and bubblegum

The type to hit up the college public forum board and ask if there are any parties going on LMAO. People reply but only because it’s Lilit asking

Loves giving out candy to trick or treaters and makes it a game of whether he can guess their their costume. Gives extra candy if they can’t guess

Parents always bought him whatever costume he wanted to be LMAO always went trick or treating with his older brother and made it a competition to see who could get the most candy

As he grew older he became more picky about what costumes he’d wear. And while they’d still be store bought bases he’d upgrade them to look a little more higher quality

His brother used to abandon him in the middle of the night during their trick or treating so he could hang out with his friends instead

Paden’s favorite candy’s are Reese’s and chalk sticks

Professor Suzuki

Just puts out a bowl of candy at his porch because students found his address a few years ago and kept bothering him about midterm questions LOL

Satoshi is... a really good cook!! Never uses a recipe but is always successful. Tends to make big spreads of easy to cook foods. The type to need to end the night with a shared meal or else he’ll be lowk grumpy the until the morning

Easily flustered but the type to just internally die inside instead of saying anything about it. You'll offer to share a drink with him and he's gonna be freaking out inside with his :| face about the indirect kiss

The type to just casually glomp you from behind whenever he sees you. You could be mid conversation with Elias and he'll just come up behind and hug you with no alarm. Doesn't do it out of any form of jealousy or need to show the world you're "his"- Satoshi is just so sleepy all the time and you're just favorite pillow ever

A blanket hog but he can't help it. Will throw his sweater at you to use as a blanket if you start complaining LMAO

Not the type to get jealous, like ever. Whether it be due to his own aloofness during any given situation or something else, he'll only intervene if he sees you're genuinely uncomfortable and need him by your side.

A really bad memory when it comes to everything but you. He'll forget his own birthday but for your's he's already made plans three weeks in advance. He won't remember what classes he's been in for half a semester but knows your schedule like the back of his hand

Satoshi's two toned hair is 100% inspired by Garfield. From his original concept, he has stayed 100% true to the original with the exception of a scar that's been removed.

Fun fact! Satoshi only started living with his grandfather recently. Like 2/3 years ago

Elias Bolkiah

The most the MOST loyal boyfriend in all of existence. On your side no matter what. Your wrongs are his rights, if you say 50+50 = 90 he'll defend you till death

The king of obnoxious displays of PDA. Kisses you on the cheek before going to class, walking hand in hand trough the hallways, opens the door to the passenger seat for you. It's enough to make Lilit gag every time he sees you two together.

Uses the most annoying icky nicknames SO LOUDLY just to see your reaction. WDYM you don't want to be called his pookie wookie smookie bear?

Almost always has one hand on you or intertwined with yours. And if it isn't? Well, it's already reaching out to you.

Gives you full control of the aux when he's driving. You already had the privilege before you got together, but now that you're dating he's confident enough to show you that he's memorized all your favorite songs by heart

Always wants to match outfits, whether obviously or subtly. His tie might be the same color as your shirt or your outfits are 1-1 complementary colors all throughout

Elias's favorite dates involve the two of you driving around town, doing karaoke to the stereo, and going wherever you two please on the whims of your mind

If you’d let them he’d come to your classes with you and not even show up to their own 😭

Oh my god he's so lame they probably confess to you (after confirming 100% that you like him back) through a boombox serenade outside your window. (Paden holds the boombox and Elias isn't there because he refused to take part)

With your permission of course, you're going to be all over their social media feed. He's so happy for your relationship, so excited, so proud- they just have to show the world

Their favorite dates with you involve going to random events around town together. He finds the weirdest stuff, like a medieval themed opened mic night or a club meeting where the activity is to test local soils. Has the time of their life at any of them as long as he’s with you

So casual with his affections. Will randomly break give you kiss attacks in the middle of the hallway and it causes Paden to run away screaming

Speaking of casual, they just drop nicknames randomly in conversations. Will deadass refer to you as his wife/husband/partner when ordering out without hesitation

Sends you one billion text messages throughout the day updating you on whatever he does. Sends pictures as well! Most of the time they’re blurry or don’t make sense cause they’re taken on a whim, but it’s the thought that counts I guess

Lilit's original design(seen as a cheeb on the title screen) has a HUGE tit window. The only reason they don't have it in the base game is cause I set the time to be in late winter/early spring HAHA

Fun fact! Lilit met Paden because they tried to hit on him before realizing he was a freshman. The two will NOT tell this story outloud

Paden Canmore

Paden is really insecure about his personality not really being the kindest. He fears one day you might leave him for someone else, requires a lot of reassurance to get by this and often he won’t voice his fears himself

Huge on gift giving!!! One of the main ways he shows his care but is always super embarrassed about actually giving you gifts. Most of the stuff he’ll give is hand made as well- gotta use that artist talent for something

Play with his hair and he'll be putty in your hands. His hair is long enough to braid and is super silky smooth. The easiest way to get him relaxed

Would honestly rather die than ask for attention, especially in front of your friends. Would give (not so) subtle hints if he’s feeling jealous, ie he’ll be a little more agitated than usual, will start inching himself towards you, please just notice before he embarrasses himself more

Will fight somebody for you LMAO he can pull punches and take them too. If anyone’s going to bother you in a way that makes you uncomfortable he’s throwing hands now and asking questions later

His favorite dates are study dates, preferably at either one of your houses

Paden is the one that I came up with first, all the way back in pre-covid. The original vision had him as a painter and his vest was a painters smock
