The damage suffered will be undone. The way her body had worn out began to reverse and change about - healed her bones, mended her knees, her shoulders, her back, her feet. All the things others had stolen from her being were restored to her double. Breath of life filled her up, made her new, refilled what was lacking, regrew what was missing. serenity is flickering candles, comfortable silence, the hour before sunset, a cup of tea on the balcony, the cool air that emanates from the ground in the deep forest. a gentle kiss on the top of your head, the space in your brain when there's no more tears, an animal in your lap that trusts you enough to sleep. reading alone in an airport terminal, uninterrupted, unhurried, breathing in, breathing out, living in your body instead of your mind.
