Hi, omg ur art is so pretty, how do you choose your colors? Looking at your art gives me the feeling of arriving home at the end of a hard day - that's amazing (´ω｀*)

aw thanks (´꒳`) tbh i'm still trying to find a process that suits me when it comes to choosing colors, so i tend to do different things for different artworks. sometimes i try to put down plain base colors and then just adjust them manually or with color balance later on with a focus color in mind. other times i make small thumbnails at the start to help me visualize what the colors would look like

Hey, <3 your art!! Would it be rude of me to ask if I want to learn how to draw like this, where should I start? I used to draw when I was a kid, with pencils mostly. I see all these amazing art and I want to take it up again but have no clue where to start. Got any advice?

thanks (o´∀`o) i'd say learn the fundamentals first! (or study them on the side while you make art) i'll list some things that helped me, you can do these traditionally or digitally if you want: ✦ photo studies - just sketching photos of people, animals, or objects i want to learn to draw ✦ gesture drawing - i do these as a warmup sometimes ✦ anatomy - you don't have to go in-depth with it, just study enough people or animals to be able to draw them in basic angles and poses ✦ value studies - for lighting/composition ✦ if you struggle with sketching itself (lines, shapes/forms) there are exercises for that too on drawabox or youtube
