Yeah, it was awful what he tried to do with Penny, but at the end of the day, it didn't actually happen. Charlotte stops it.

Sarah Lynn, on the other hand, was actually sober. She had finally gotten her life together. There was no one there to save her from Bojack or herself. And yes, she was an adult, but she also trusted Bojack and saw him as a father figure mixed with a lover.

To me, it's not a question of whether he hurt Sarah Lynn or Penny worse. It's which action was objectively the worst thing he's ever done. And while yes, BOTH are horrible, Penny gets to move on. She gets to heal and forget Bojack and learn a very hard lesson she never should have had to learn.

Sarah Lynn never gets that. Because the moment she moved on, he pulled her back in and went on a bender. Yes, Sarah Lynn does take some blame in the situation, but he had the option to save her. To call anyone and intervene. But he didn't because he was too worried about how it would look and how people would blame him.

Bojack has a lot of flaws. No one came out unscathed. But I think Sarah Lynn got the biggest disservice. Because once she moved on and tried to better herself, he kept pulling her back no matter how it would ruin her. (I say this as someone who isn't obsessed with Sarah Lynn. She's not my favorite, but she did deserve so much better.)

my propaganda is that i think Penny was worse because she was 17/a child who didn't know what she was doing.. while bojack a full grown man knew it was wrong and was going to do have sex with her anyway.. all because charlotte turned him down and his dreams went up in smoke.

and sarah lynn while a tragic death was 30/31 a adult capable of her own decisions to do the drugs had only gone sober to do drugs again for a higher .. high as she said in a previos episode..

though of course bojack should have called 911.. i just think people forget sarah lynn was a adult . i also dont like the 17 min addition and prefer it being a asorta 50/50 thing of both bojack/sarahlnny been responsbole for the outcome butohwell

Rewatching Heroes just makes me appreciate skin texture on film. They look so human. Even the "pretty" characters look like actual people. Not overly perfect.

It's so nice to see.

If this show was made now, there would be so much face filler. Not only that but there wouldn't be nearly half as many raw scenes. People are too afraid of looking ugly.

Facing Immortality together: When all their friends and family die out, leaving just them they stop fighting it. Give it a few decades when the last people who know die out and they finally fall into each other's arms without shame.

Soulmate AU: first words or touch. People assume it's a platonic soulmate, but they know otherwise. Forever hungry for things they shouldn't have.

Homecoming canon divergence: Have him rise from the dead and refuse to leave her. A strange attachment forms. He can't leave her even if he wants to. Feels guilt over lusting for a teenage cheerleader, gets Parkmans gift and reads her mind. She's into him. They date. The only one who knows is Peter's mother and for some reason she keeps trying to break them up but won't tell them why. Either they do or don't found out. Dealers choice.

Lazarus effect: When Calire pulls the glass out, she cements Peter to her. It causes them to have a deep unending bond. Painful for both of them yet oh so delicious.
