tommy and ward actually work SOOO WELL. and here’s why. tommy stated that working for gerard made him a bad person. if you’re a bucktommy shipper i’m sorry for all i’m abt to say but he obviously had things wrong with him before gerard too (cough cough RACIST) but gerard of course DEFINITELY made him worse.

ward was obviously broken long before garrett but he would’ve gone down the RIGHT one (as seen in the framework) if it weren’t for his influence.

and it makes so much sense too because hen is biology and jemma is biology and karen is technology and fitz is technology and we haven’t seen much on karen personality wise (sue me but i’m not wrong) except that she’s extremely caring and drops everything for her wife and children and what did fitz do in s7?? for the wellbeing of his CHILD, of his WIFE, of his entire found family??? he left ☹️☹️ to protect them all. to make sure he could watch over them even if it was from afar.

okay okay i was thinking about this the other day because there’s so so so many parallel and let me tell you what i was thinking

bobby and coulson obviously. both tragic, both father figures, both DEAD.

daisy and buck. first of all their personalities are the same, they’ve obviously both been the closest immediate child character for bobby/coulson and i could write a whole essay on this one but ill leave it at this for now

this is where we have to think a bit more

chim is mack. after coulson dies, mack is director, and now that bobby is dead, chim seems to be taking over. plus, it checks out personality wise too. nice, funny, huggable, but when family is hurt, or in a dangerous situation they know EXACTLY what to do.

so this would make maddie elena. they would both do things for their family. maddie tried to save her daughter by ending herself, but yoyo had her whole revenge arc in Slingshot for her cousin. and who has been trying to get chim to open up more now that bobby is gone? maddie, duh. but when coulson died, what we have more elena isn’t much verbally, but she sat down with mack while he mourned, and was essentially the only team member who stayed on earth while everyone else left to find fitz

so… whos fitzsimmons now?

well jemma is hen. hear me out, both involved in human anatomy in some way, both not BOTHERED by human anatomy, both doing crazy shit based on a hunch or a theory. hen stole a helicopter just cause she felt like bobby and athena were in danger. jemma risked poisoning herself, locked up mack, broke fitz out of containment, and stole a plain because she had a theory on how to save the world. also she’s invincible. duh.

also this would all make may athena and i. i don’t think i really have to say anything it’s just plain accurate.

now… eddie. eddie is a bit difficult. at first i thought bobbi, but… i felt like there weren’t enough parallels. so now i’ve decided on lincoln.

both are familiar with human anatomy and how to save people, both have anger issues to manage, both are afraid of their own inability to control. lincoln was afraid of not controlling his powers, and eddie was afraid of not having his son. both characters are quietly tragic until it’s not so quiet.

anyways so sorry to rant like i needed that excuse to say all that. :)

early seasons buck's flaw is that he's immature, bratty, impulsive, unreliable. and then he meets struggling single dad eddie diaz and he STEPS UP. he becomes a selfless caretaker, worlds most responsible man, he is in their home, he is cooking them dinner, he is picking chris up from school, he is looking after eddie after a breakdown, he is parenting chris while eddie's in the hospital, he is eddie's shoulder to lean on, he is chris's shoulder to lean on. THIS is what bobby was trying to teach him with abby in season 1, THIS is his big character growth over the seasons. he is. TRANSFORMED by love. into someone mature and responsible and steady. to love is to be changed!!!!!

okay i thought i already did this but scrolling through my old posts i realize that i have ignored this trophy winning addition to my little rant here so very sorry @skyler10fic but also how dare you leave this in the tags what were you thinking

Because I’ve been seeing too many people on Tiktok complain about Aos not being canon, I would like to explain something but first things first, do not fear. Aos is very very canon but it’s a little complicated.

The majority of the MCU takes place in universe 616. Like iron man and endgame and all that shit. In season one, SHIELD established that they are also in that universe by doing a little nod by calling the main team of coulson may Skye etc SHIELD team 616 which is why when May/Ward interacted with the people in charge they would say “this is shield 616 blah blah blah”

The show made other nods to this fact in other instances but we’re skipping to s5.

When the team is transferred to the future, they establish that Aos is still in 616 by doing a little nod with the fact that the rock that was reflecting transmissions from the surface was called “earth 616” This means that the same earth that Tony died protecting was destroyed, shield showed up, and later on Flint rebuilt the entire planet.

This is when the shield team leaves 616. When they went back, they changed the future, changing the timeline, which obviously meant that they were in a universe where they succeeded against Talbot, as opposed to the future of universe 616, get it?

So agents of SHIELD is still canon, they just did a little switching of universes in s5, which is where most people say that they went off canon.
