it’s no wonder there are so many queer ships in classic lit leave it to some 1800s dandy to spout the most absolutely heartwarming sentimental verse to his roommate while he is actively engaged. There is so much love to go around in classic lit. I feel like people were so much more comfortable with portraying strong and vocal love between friends back then because it was so rare for people to interpret it as romantic in that day like we do now.
