Hihi! I'm Mark, an aspiring horror writer and artist. Im starting up these writing comms to bulk up my portfolio, get a little spending money, help my parents out with groceries and bills and such. We're often tight on money and I'm having difficulties finding other ways to support them and my brothers. I'm willing to write and draw just about anything (besides NSFW as I am a minor), and I like to keep my prices as cheap and affordable as possible! These prices go as follows:

$4 for poetry, character letters, and song/lyric writing

$6 for a drabble (500 words or less)

$10 for 1000 words, then $5 for an additional 1000 words ($15 for 2000, $20 for 3000, etc)

Terms of service:

Payment is half up front or fully upfront

Payment is done via paypal

Please be patient! Due to school, half of my day on week days is busy so I work primarily in the afternoon and whenever I can sneak it in. Typically I can get Art and writing done within a week of starting, but please be gracious if something comes up or when buying larger word counts/requesting complicated designs.

No extra charge for research, but it will be more time consuming for me, and thus lead to a longer working period!

Commissioned fics and art will be posted on tumblr if you’d like (otherwise it will be in a shared via google doc for fics and over email for art)

PLEASE be detailed when requesting. I want to tailor the what I make to your liking, and the more detail, the better.

Me and Owner 2 were talking about CandyBats today and were discussing why we thought it was so popular and our personal opinions on it, and I wanted to share our thoughts.

Personally, i never got onto the Candybats train, or the Streber train, for that matter. I just don't care for the character and don't like the ship. From how Owner 2 understands the characters, it simply wouldn't work - Streber is stuck up and snobby. While he is not as bad as somebody like Carmen, he's still very uptight when it seems to come to his personal life. Mainly seen in the Streber Short where he is speaking rather rudely to his friends/coworkers the more irritated he becomes. While this is sometimes done playfully, it is not at times and he sounds genuinely uptight.

“Kevin is very closed in, upset, and he doesn't seem like the kind of person Streber needs, or wants for that matter,” Owner 2 stated on call with me while we spoke on the matter. “Kevin also seems like he would make fun of Streber and Streber would absolutely hate it, sort of like how Sir Pelo has acted them out.”

Owner 2 thinks it's so popular simply because of the writing on the wall, and people making posts about it, and everyone freaking out over it. I personally think it goes a bit deeper than that - I think the writing on the wall is a contributing factor, however there is also the flanderization of the character Streber that plays into the ship that surely people notice. Streber is treated like a bouncy, bubbly boy who loves Halloween and vampires and is this silly twink who's sort of dumb.

While some of this is true — he most likely does love vampires and Halloween, especially if he uses his degree in mechanical science or engineering for the haunted house — it is not the only thing about him, and some people's perceptions are plain out mischaracterized. Streber is not some bubbly twink whose only personality trait is vampires and Kevin. Streber is an incredibly smart individual with a shorter temper, a passion for creation, and a very self centered, self driven personality.

I can see the appeals more than my partner can - tired, overwhelmed boyfailure and energized, goal driven boyboss is an interesting pairing. They could be foils to each other, in a way. However, they are MORE than just those descriptions. They are more than just pawns to be shipped together, and that's personally why I don't like candybats - the flanderization is a wall between me and liking this ship.

Anyways, that's all. Just wanted to rant!! Bye bye!!
