Last year, @suckerpunchprod revealed an 18-minute gameplay presentation of one of their best games that they have created. That game was Ghost of Tsushima which is an open-world action-adventure stealth game from a third-person perspective. The story of the game is about Jin Sakai (a samurai and the Head of Clan Sakai) who is on a quest to protect the Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan in the 13th Century. One of my personal favourite things from the game (excluding the compelling story and the combat aesthetics) was the Haiku side-quests. So I thought that I would create all the Haiku along with the snaps of the views from each location in all three acts. Here are the Haikus which I created from Act 1 (Izuhara) from one of the best games of 2020 in my opinion. Haikus from Act 2 (Toyatama) and Act 3 (Kamigata) will be posted soon. Today (Sunday 7th February 2021) is the day where we celebrate the 15th anniversary of #DillaDay. A day which we celebrate the life and career of James Dewitt Yancey a.k.a. J Dilla. He was one of the best Hip-Hop producers of all time who worked with the most talented artists such as Slum Village (@officialslumvillage), Common (@common) , Busta Rhymes (@bustarhymes), The Roots (@theroots) , MF Doom (R.I.P.) (@mfdoom) and De La Soul (@wearedelasoul) to name a few. On 7th February 2006, he released one of the most influential Hip-Hop albums on his 32nd birthday called Donuts. He passed away 3 days after the release of the Donuts album due to a cardiac arrest and also losing battle to Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (a rare blood disease) and lupus. Today would have been his 47th birthday. So this tribute artwork is inspired by both versions from the Donuts album cover and dedicated to legacy of Dilla. May his legacy live long through his music.
