Card of the day via the Spirits in Flowers Oracle by Gillian Kemp.
I found this so cute because my name is Jasmine. I’d like to share the excerpt from the guidebook with you:
“Keywords: God's gift. Performance. Dreams.
The spark of enlightenment is radiating from within because you are especially gifted with a particular talent, or more than one. Head for your dreams and hold on to them. Keep ascending to gain knowledge, understanding, and support from higher forces, the people and spirits helping you onward and upward.
Jasmine, a tall-growing, climbing shrub, represents victory because it continues to cling to its support by twisting and turning toward the light to overcome obstacles. Likewise, so can you. Feeling connected to your inner self, and being open-minded about what and who supports your growin, is helping you to take positive action in matters and the people you interact with.
Believed to be an aphrodisloc, jasmine is emblematic of erotic love and nicknamed "queen of the night," because falling temperatures make its five pretty petals open and exude a sweet, intoxicating scent. Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love and beauty, is said to have charmed lovers with jasmine perfume, which complemented her loveliness and sensuality.
Long-living, and fast-growing year after year, jasmine signifies you should expect a spiritual awakening. The flower advocates purity, simplicity, uplifting inspiration, modesty, and strength-all emblematic virtues that a determined person is advised to emulate to reach farmine's robust, broad, and light-seeking height.
Having a deep taproot, jasmine is synonymous with your deeply planted and healthy good attitude. You give cheerfully without thought of reward and will continue doing the right thing, even when tested. Being good brings you honor. Rewards are coming to you from divine serendipity. Jasmine's leaves can fall in winter to give way to new ones. Similarly, you will reap marvelous happenings for past endeavors that may have got you nowhere because the time was wrong but is now right.
Jasmine flowers from spring to fall. Its blooms only last for a few days and stop flowering when not watered. Do not delay seizing an opportunity when you recognize a chance to bring what you want to fruition. Grasp the opportunity; do not delay. Fate will bring miracles to you, emphasized by 200 species of jasmine.
Your needs will be fulfilled; jasmine is edible, medicinal, beautifying, and health-enhancing. It is used for celebrations, including Mother's Day and weddings, a good omen for your family and love life. As a Mother's Day flower, it represents motherhood, and the love and respect a child should have for its mother's unconditional love. Jasmine conveys that mother-and-
child relationships are as favorably starred as jasmine's star-shaped flowers. Wish upon a star and may all your dreams and wishes come true.”

Money Drawing/Abundance Oil
I made money drawing oil and gave some to my partner in this cute little roll on bottle. I told them to anoint their feet with it before going to work in the mornings and on the days they had done it, within 48 hours they had gotten refunds and someone interested in purchasing an item they had up for resale. Anytime these things would happen they’d excitedly tell me “I used the oil today and…” to affirm to me that they believed it was working, so sweet. I wanted to share my recipe in case anyone was interested in trying it out for themselves. You should, of course, tweak it to your desired needs, and omit or substitute ingredients for intent. I’d advise doing research on the powers of the herbs to decide how you want to use them, if at all.
1. Olive oil: I used this as half of the base for its protective powers.
2. Grape seed oil: This constituted the other half of the base, and I harness its power of abundance.
3. Fenugreek
4. Orange peel
5. Hibiscus
6. Clove
7. Basil
8. Bay leaf with sigils of your choosing, crushed
9. Cinnamon
I made sure to incorporate protective and positive energies into the blend to avert the flow coming in a negative way. I set my intention for what I wanted each herb to do based on their possible powers. I have a book on herbs that I consult. I also did a small prayer of intention over the oil once combined and left it to charge on my altar for a little while before using it. You have the option of utilising essential oils in place of herbs if you prefer. And you can even add fragrance oils if you want it to smell good!
I love the functionality of the little roller ball bottle because it’s not only portable and inconspicuous, it also functions like a pen. I advise my partner to draw dollar signs on the soles of their feet lmao. It can also function like a pen to write sigils on petitions, or even to write wishes. You can also set intentions to anoint your money with a small amount before spending, so that every dollar you spend returns to you tenfold and such! Also simply anoint candles and use it in workings, or however you’d like. The world is your oyster 🌍

Reciprocity and Thoughts
The Modern Nirvana Oracle
I had a triggering thought randomly pop into my head and decided to pull some oracle cards to help me understand. This one stood out to me the most because the intuitive message wasn’t immediate when I looked at it. I decided to dive into the book and I was blown away. The entire message is not pictured since it continues onto the next two pages, but what stood out to me the most was the quote from Mahatma Gandhi: “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” Perhaps the quote wasn’t initially meant to resonate the way it did for me, because I felt like I found myself in a different way. I came home to myself after being lost serving and pleasing another. I came back to my core values and beliefs after emptying myself out in service to make another feel better than I cared to do for myself.
This card also helped me to understand that my energy was not being reciprocated. That I was basically on my knees, and expected to do such because I set that standard. I abandoned my wholeness in favour of being self sacrificing. I had thought, up until this point, that I had rid myself of the need to people please. Now I’m realising I just found another way to do it. Still, I appreciate all the experience has taught me and I now have a new perspective on how I need to implement my boundaries moving forward. It is so easy to forget where you end and another begins, and even easier to lose yourself in another and forget that you, too, are a whole person. Just as whole as whoever you think deserves to feel more whole than you. You are also deserving of being met half way, you don’t need to venture all the way to their end because they want you to, you don’t need to abandon yourself to hold space for another.
There is a thin line between charity and self sacrifice. As a 6th house arcana in my Destiny Matrix, this may very well be a lifelong lesson that I have to learn. I can only hope that the journey treats me kindly.

Deck: The Venus Morningstar Tarot
Guidance from my higher self
I dreamt of the Fate (Wheel of Fortune) card a while back and it has since been very prominent in a certain situation in my life. This spread felt incredibly profound in the moment, especially considering they’re all major arcana. I watched a pick a card reading today on YouTube and got a message that my future self is shifting my current timeline. I find that makes so much sense when I reflect on this spread I did on the situation. My higher self knows something I do not, and it seems like I’m meant to take the action I’ve been feeling really called to take. I’m going to trust in myself and go with the flow of the direction I’m being nudged in. Rarely do I ever steer myself wrong, and I can’t wait to fully uncover what my higher self knows about this situation. For now, I will just trust that this change is meant to happen. There are forces at play here I cannot fully grasp, and they are guiding me towards my highest timeline and I’m truly grateful for this.

Card of the day from The Venus Morningstar Tarot
I spent a good portion of the day pondering friendships in the past and present. I have been feeling like I want more out of my connections, something aligned with what I need to feel fulfilled. In most cases regarding my friendships, I tend to take a back seat and let the other person’s desires and wishes take precedence over my own. In doing that I find myself feeling unfulfilled and yearning for something different. I am not one to keep a friend around permanently due to this lack of fulfillment. Thinking about it today, I’ve realized that I’ve not actually experienced a friendship where I felt I could fully be my authentic self. There were always aspects of my personality I felt I should dim to let the other person shine, to let the other person feel fulfilled. I would sometimes bend over backwards to ensure they felt their best in our connection (when I wasn’t in hermit mode). I know I have my faults and I’m not perfect, but I do think I tend to give a lot in connections. It can lead to burnout and resentment when I do that; feelings of discontent because I put them on a pedestal and neglect my needs for a truly fulfilling connection. I tend to be more concerned with how they would feel in the connection with me, rather than how I feel about being in the connection with them. Unfortunately, I’ve attracted people that enjoy this dynamic, that enjoy being catered to and in the spotlight. They milk it for all it’s worth, thinking that it’s just me. This is a situation I’ve created for myself that I now need to learn to undo.
I suppose my calling with this card is to step into a reality where I can partake in connections from a place of joy, fulfillment and love. To be my own whole person and trust that through that I will attract the people that are right for me. To let myself bask in the emotions of love and the overflow of love that makes connections possible. And to also ensure I am filling my own cup first before sharing with anyone else, and only in the excess should I share. When I pulled this card the three of swords was behind the deck. It was a call to let go of the things I may be holding onto that are weighing on my heart and mind. Things that hold me back from experiencing the joyous bounty of the three of cups. To make peace with the heart ache and know that even in that pain I can learn something, because if I were not capable of experiencing that pain how can I be capable of experiencing the abundance of love available to me? One cannot exist without the other, but I should find a healthy balance that allows connections to grow and thrive. There will always be something triggering when in connection with others because you are forced to confront yourself. It should be taken as a lesson for growth, one should not linger in a trigger, but learn how to apply the knowledge for growth and development. Lest you manifest the trials and tribulations that come with lingering in negative mindsets.
At first I didn’t understand how this card applied but I spent some time with it and pulled two additional oracle cards to help me understand. I now know how I should move forward and what has been holding me back. I hope through this I am able to create new environments for myself to thrive with others, and to create a solid community of people that make me feel absolutely buzzed with joy and love.

The Leo Full Moon made my Hibiscus Bloom
The moon is currently full in Leo and my Hibiscus plant that I got recently had its first bloom! I swear the moment the moon became full this baby popped out. Some possible powers of hibiscus is ambition, outward expression of happiness and joy, celebration of the simplest joy, manifestation in material form, enjoying each step of life’s journey, etc. The moment I saw the bloom I was overcome with such joy I felt I could pop. My heart space pulsed and the passion of happiness and fulfilment overtook me. Every time I took a little peak at her beauty the same feelings overcame me, just as, if not more, powerful than the first.
Then later in the day my girlfriend mentioned an opportunity she got. I had recently given her a money drawing oil that I made and this was her second time using it. I told her to anoint the soles of her feet before going to work so that she could walk into new opportunities. She got an opportunity to upgrade to a new laptop since someone wanted to purchase her current one. She messaged me saying the oil worked in mysterious ways haha. I got the same giddy feeling I got looking at that beautiful hibiscus when she told me what happened. I now feel like I am able to solidify my standing on my journey and know that the things I put my hands in are reaping the results I hoped for.
I also pulled the seven of wands from The Venus Morningstar Tarot today. I have been feeling really torn about going forth on a project I’ve been yearning to do for a while. I have the full throes of passion associated with the seven of wands, which is represented by Mars in Leo. I felt like that bloom ignited that passion in me to embark on the creative journey I’ve been holding back. I particularly love the imagery in the seven of wands. It looks like she’s standing her ground whilst also keeping control of her courage and power (the animal). It also feels like a call to stand in my power. I am a sidereal Leo Sun and Mars. And a tropical Virgo Sun and Mars in the 11th house of Leo. If these occurrences weren’t a call out I don’t know what is. It’s like a message from the universe to stop doubting myself. To stand firm in that which I put my energy towards creating. To know that it will bloom at the right time, and to stop and appreciate those moments.
This full moon seems particularly impactful for me. It feels like a nudge in the direction of my creative passions. To pour my entire heart and soul into the things that ignite my heart. Guaranteed I will be making lunar water with this magical energy and charging my items. Today is a good day.

8 of Pentacles
Card of the day from The Venus Morningstar Tarot
Well today was a busy day to say the least. I pulled this card this morning thinking I’d be doing business work but no, I ended up being a plumber for the day.
We had to take one of cats to the vet today, and then after we’d set out to run some errands. Luckily we have a vet and hardware store within 5-10 mins of our home so I thought it’d be a pretty quick and easy outing. We had to get two new faucets and a light bulb, and we thought that was all we’d need to replace the items at home. How wrong we were 😭. We got home and changed the light bulb in the bathroom rather easily, but we had a problem with the tube for the faucet. It had broken during removal and we hadn’t realized, so we had to head back out to get a replacement for that as well. I thought to myself we should get a replacement tube for the kitchen faucet as well because I was more than sure that would’ve given us a lot of problems since it was rusted. We weren’t able to remove it by hand to take it with us due to the rust so we noted that we’d need pliers as well to remove it. So we set out again to get the replacements.
At this point we’re back home with the items and managed to fix the bathroom faucet with no problem. The next problem to tackle was the kitchen faucet. Now, we’ve had a few issues with the kitchen faucet, and since we’re renting, we had to rely on our landlord to have a plumber come and fix it. The last time they had to fix it they did a terrible job, so we decided we’d attempt it ourselves and see if we could do a better job. My partner began the task of removing the tube and that’s when we bumped into another problem. Water began spraying and leaking everywhere. We had forgotten to disconnect the water.
Now, we live in a rental that has three apartments including ours. There were pipes running to tons of different places so we had to figure out which was ours. Our first attempt failed, so we ended up checking other possible spots on the property. We finally found where it was but, alas, neither of us had the height to reach it. And honestly, what a strange place to place a nozzle. It was on the second floor out of arms reach from any direction. My partner tried lifting me to no avail; it was still just out of reach. I had the idea to use the chair on the landing, so we figure out a way to reach it using the chair.
We go back to our task of replacing the faucet and we managed to fit everything into place. At this point we believe we’re done so we excitedly turn the water back on. Then we bump into another issue. It’s leaking like crazy from several spots. We rush to turn it off again and at this point we’re exasperated. Soon enough we find the source of the problem after trying again and again to fix it. The pipe fitting that we’re supposed to screw the tube into was worn out so there was nothing to keep it secure. We set out again to get the last couple items we’d need.
We’ve secured our items and now we feel absolutely ready to tackle this problem. We fit everything up again and, thankfully, this time it works! With absolutely zero leakage, a problem we’d been dealing with for a while now. And now we have a faucet that was ten times better than the builder grade we had.
Although it was a hard and tiring journey, we learned a lot along the way and probably gained a new skill set, no matter how small. It was well worth it in the end because we’d been tired of the issues we were facing that the plumber could not seem to fix (maybe he was just a bad plumber). I am kind of traumatized by this card though 🥲. But I must admit that was quite a fitting card for the day, and this deck hits the nail on the head every time.
