The cool crisp air of autumn flutters down this time of year. To celebrate, here is a painting of Twilight River from Pikmin 3

Happy Fan Art Friday, here is the completed Monster Hunter World piece!
This piece is courtesy of the wizard, who in his bright red Anthony Bourdain beanie, slid a manilla folder under my doorway labeled “really cool places from Monster Hunter”
So, truthfully, I know very little in these games besides the notes carefully written in the margins of the images. There will be a few more of these I’m sure.

Happy Fan Art Friday! Today we feature a very lively Roost from Animal Crossing New Horizons. Each character within this piece was suggested by someone on twitter, so it feels a little more special as some of these characters I wouldn’t have drawn otherwise.
This painting also fits today, as Animal Crossing is a game where you decorate and rearrange things. I type this currently covered in dust from rearranging and cleaning my dad’s house.

You go to the bar everyday after work with your pals. You sit on the slightly sticky barstool and sip your beer while everyone rants about spreadsheets and sales. Out of the corner of your eye you always notice a soft pink glow around the corner. Every night you see men walk into the light, men in suits, men in muscle tanks, men wasted far beyond their limits, and sometimes it’s someone you know.
You never see these men leave before you go home after your one room temperature beer, and one day you get curious. You sit there at the bar with a few friends like any normal night, order the same drink, and hear the same conversations. Put of the corner of your eye you see your boss waltz into the pink glow. Odd.
So after your one beer is done and your friends get up ready to go you order a gin and tonic. They all look at you, puzzled and one of them burps.
“I saw my boss go to the bathroom, just wanted to chat with him about tomorrow’s reports,” you say.
Your friends nod and they leave. The clock ticks by and you slowly wait and stare at the static on the television. At some point you fell asleep, only to be awoken by the tapping of the bar tender’s fingers against the plastic counter.
“We’re closing,” the bar tender pulls the words out of his mouth.
“I’m waiting for my boss, he went into the other room.”
The bar tender gets closer to you, you could swear that he had three, maybe four, eyes under his thick glasses.
“No point in waiting,” the bar tender smiles. “He ain’t coming out of that room.”

September and Virgo season never really clicked with me associating the hermit. September always felt exciting, seeing faces old and new and wanting to talk to anyone who’d listen.
January, with it’s dark days and icy claws warps a cloak around me every year, and I always find myself heartbroken and alone.

Snowpoint city was always so much fun as a kid. The snovers, the snorunts, that gym puzzle, and the spooky abandoned ruins in the back of the town.

As the temperature continues to drop in New England, I think we need the sun. The sun brings happiness, joy, and warm sunny days walking around without a care in the world (also beach days!) I painted this piece back in 2020 for a tarot project that… did not come to fruition
But the sun is here to remind us to keep going, even through failures and the cold days of winter.
