Más allá de pintar una silla

Que título tan simple no? Quizás el título sea simple pero el proceso de pintar esta “simple” silla no es fácil . Te cuento un poco, yo encontreé esta silla en la calle, literalmente al costado de un basurero muy grande, lista para ir a la basura. Me llamó la atención la forma y se veia muy elegante. La agarre y la traje a casa, luego de eso, la limpie, y me dije la voy a pintar con Chalk Paint,-pintura de tiza- con un poco que me sobro de un mueble que habia pintado tiempo atrás y me sirvio esa mitad de medio galon para terminarla. Mi objetivo era preparla para mi enamorada por el dia de la madre y creo que me salió bien. Ok.este es el proceso que hice :

- Limpiar la silla con trapo humedo y dejar secar

- Comenzar con el pintado utilizando brocha especial para pintura de tiza.

- Primera mano y deje secar.

- Luego antes de comenzar la segunda mano, con una brocha tipo esponja, me fijé en los detalles que faltaban pintar y los pinté al detalle.

- Deje eso hasta el dia siguiente

- Comencé con la segunda mano y mis toques con la brocha eran mas gruesos.

Todo proceso en la vida tiene un secreto y se llama dedicación al momento de hacerlo.

Eso si siempre utiliza las mejores herramientas, las mejores pinturas para que tu acabado sea el mejor.

Después de esto le pase una mano de cera, dejé que seque y la froté con un trapo de algodón y le saqué brillo.

¿ Qué Hice Para Vender Mi Primera Casa De Pájaritos ?

Todos saben que a la par de mi trabajo como Social Media Manager y Podcaster aqui en Boston, me gusta el craft o manualidades, pintar, testear, arreglar y todo esto en pequeñas piezas.

Hoy te voy a contar como hice para vender mi primera casita de pájaritos .

Semanas atrás me encontré con mi amiga Sue y esta estaba con su hija Olivia y me dijo : 

“JC, ví en tú Facebook que estas pintando casas de pájaritos y estan lindas !!…”

La Respuesta fue :

Sue, las hago por fun !!

Me Dijo :

Puedes pintar una para mi hija …Yo te pago !! 

Le dije :

OK !!

EL BUYER PERSONA

Mientras Sue me hablaba, yo miraba al mismo tiempo a Olivia e hice mentalmente en segundos un BUYER PERSONA ( Mi Marketer interior me decia hazlo ) de esta :

Edad ( adolescente )

Tipo de ropa y colores

Tipo de telefono y color del protector

Caracter

Y basado en esto fui a mi casa, comence a pensar y escoger :

Tipo de la casa de pájaritos para ella

Colores 

Detalles adicionales

Partiendo de eso comencé a pintarla y en el proceso me di cuenta que importante es conocer a tú cliente e inclusive hacerlo profesionalmente en tú hobby.

CONCLUSION

Siempre oberva detalles de tú cliente y haz las cosas partiendo de esto comienza a trabajar y no hagas las cosas por que si.

Mi Experiencia Entre Dos Pinturas Milk Paint

HISTORIA REAL : EL SEO SOLO TE PONE EN PRIMER LUGAR Y NADA MAS… PERO NO TE OFRECE O ASEGURA CALIDAD DE UN PRODUCTO Y/O SERVICIO, QUE AL FINAL ES LO QUE MAS IMPORTA

Esto es una historial real, que me sucedió este mes y esta enfocada en pequeños negocios .

Como ustedes saben a mi me gusta en mis ratos libres hacer mis manualidades  pintar casas de pajaritos, la restoración de algunas piezas de madera o muebles pequeños.

Conoci a una persona que me dijo :“Juan Carlos pinta tus proyectos en tu hobby con Milk Paint" hasta ese momento desconocida para mi, y como era obvio fui a Google .

FYI : La Milk Paint es una pintura que te permite que tus piezas o paredes parezcan "antiguas” o en algunos casos “rusticas” ( Foto )

LA HISTORIA A

Escribi Milk Paint, palabra clave y especifica obviamente PUM !! salto la primera y la revise y tenia varias cosas :

1. Buen SEO 2. Diseño responsive genial 3. Amigable UX 4. Buen empaque de plastico eco friendly, lindos colores 5. Buen diseño web 6. Buena presencia en Social Media : Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, e Instagram. 7. Blog

Compré el producto total $20.00 dólares y el envió fue adecuado dos dias y listo, los envases muy bonitos, pequeños pomitos muy bien presentados.

LA HISTORIA B

Segui revisando y pasando el cursor y encontré una muy abajo en el buscador o en las segundas paginas del buscador.

Y encontre una empresa con esto :

Sin diseño responsive ( no mobile friendly )

Cero reviews

No buen SEO

Mal diseño web

Cero o nula presencia en RRSS , solo una magra pagina de Facebook, con poco mantenimiento, No en Twitter, No blog, ¿ Instagram ? …que es eso !!

Empaque de papel y colores ok, normales y clasicos

Compré el producto a $37.00 dólares , es decir mucho MAS CARA !! y me llegaron las muestras en bolsitas de plástico, me sorprendí !

Mira lo que me sucedió, un primer lugar en los buscadores, fue un mal resultado FINAL, en lo que YO buscaba. 

Compré , Si !…pero No compraré más!.

DE NADA SIRVE ESTAR EN UN PRIMER LUGAR EN LOS BUSCADORES, SI TÚ PRODUCTO O SERVICIO ES MALO .

Esto de los buscadores No es tan bueno como se PINTA

My Hobby And My Great Experience With Milk Paint : Interview With The Owner Of The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company

A few months ago I “discovered” for example that I could paint my birdhouses with different paint that creates a special effect. One effect is through the use of Milk Paint, and I had never heard of this before ( yeah I know  !! ) .

I bought Milk Paint from The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company, in an art shop in Cambridge, Massachusetts,  just to “test”, and I was very happy with the results. I noticed two things that caught my attention on my birdhouses:

Oh God ! Was My reaction !

As a marketer, I searched on Google, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc, to learn more about the milk paint, and I have just one word: Impressive!!

After what I learned, I called the company and I ordered 10 samples of different colors. Delivery was quick, which is important in terms of shipping and I began testing, painting, measuring, mixing colors, etc. The samples were very good quality. Good job The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company!!

After my experience I decided to contact them. The owner of The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company is Anne Thibeau and after some emails to request an interview…phew!…I got the interview! 

In the following paragraphs you will find the questions and the answers that Anne very kindly responds to. Thanks Anne!!

1.The Old Fashioned Milk Paint has 40 years in the market. What do you feel is the main driver behind the success of your company and products?

Well, first of all, we were the first company to make a milk paint in powder form. My father,Charles Thibeau, was the creative force who had the vision to recreate this ancient, all natural paint into a modern, powdered form. There was nothing else like it on the market. He developed it as a powder to keep it natural, and as close to the original formulas that were made by hand on the back porch, avoiding the need to use any kind of chemical preservatives. That was very practical, and ingenious, really. As a family we have really just believed in his vision and have always strived to provide our customers with the best product and customer service possible. We have many loyal customers who have been with us from the beginning!

2.Why would milk paint be a great choice for restoration versus others kind of paint?

Its history and authenticity. There are other paints claiming to be milk paint that use unnatural ingredients that would not have been used. Some liquid paints claim to be “milk paint” but are actually just modern, acrylic paints that are available in colors that are based on old, historic milk paint colors. This is the real deal. Genuine milk paint has a look that you just can’t easily get with a modern paint- it is naturally mottled and uneven, both chalky and velvety, and with rich colors that will not fade.

3.Should milk paint be used more often by painters, DYI people, kids, woodworkers, etc? Why ?

Oh, definitely it should be. Not only is it best for replicating an old, historic look, but it gives you that look easily.

For example, many painters use various faux finishing techniques- layering, dry brushing, etc., etc., to get a look that you can get just by simply using milk paint. And it’s much better for your health! We feel it’s the safest paint available. Our second formula that we developed for walls, is called SafePaint, for that reason.

Chemically sensitive people and pregnant women can use our paint, and you can paint your bedroom or baby’s nursery in the afternoon and sleep in it that night, with no worry about harmful fumes. And it doesn’t always have to have that “old” look.

Our SafePaint is more even and consistent looking than the original formula, but still has that soft look with deep, rich colors. People can be a little wary of using a paint that you have to mix with water first, but it’s really so easy, like making chocolate milk!

El 16 de Marzo último fui a comprar pintura para pintar mis #Birdhouses al Home Depot , y me ayudo Barry, de la tercera edad, me mostro de como se atiende a un cliente y como satisfacer su necesidad. Barry, que tendria unos 70 años, me hizo dos preguntas especificas de lo que YO ESTABA BUSCANDO, le expliqué, y muy cauto él y callado con buen veterano, me dijó : te recomiendo estos colores, yo los mezclare y además puedes combinarlos luego. Me llevó a la sección de brochas y me dijo esta es la que deberias usar para los proyectos y me explicó el por que yo deberia usarlas, para tener un buen producto terminado : Mis casas para pájaros. En terminos de marketing, el se enfocó en que es lo YO necesitaba y fue muy personal. En términos de CX, me hizo sentir bien debido a la interacción que tuvé con él en representación de su organización y todo el proceso que duró mi compra.
