Hi! Here's a thread of suggestions to help out in protests as someone who's to scared to protest themselves but likes to watch them

A quick how to

What did other protests do?

Try to do research on other protests throughout history and what they did right and wrong

For example:

Choose where you protest carefully

I suggest picking an area where there's lots of space and has multiple ways to leave the area but make sure it's a public area where many people can see

Move quickly

You should talk to the organizers to pick different spots around the city/town to move to before the cops arrive to prevent arrests and/or injuries (remember cops can and will become violent quickly)

Safety gear/items examples

Bring some really strong glue and bricks You can glue the bricks to the road and prevent cop cars and vehicles from going through (Make sure to talk to the protest organizer about this tho)

Do not bring your car!!

It takes up too much space and if everyone is retreatting you might not be able to get your car out in time. So instead please use scooters,bicycles,roller skates,or any portable form to transportation

Stay connected

While it's good to be connected with your friends and family during a protest it's also good to try and find a way to stay connected with not only the protest organizers but other protesters.

During the protest we want to be heard so bring music I recommend Palestinian cultural songs but also

Sharing is caring

Try to bring enough supplies to share to everyone not everyone can afford to get supplies so sharing them is a good thing to do (if you can't that's fine too don't be afraid to ask for some from someone)

Have fun 😊

It sounds silly but your happiness can be used as a weapon Joy is a weapon. So bring games, toys, and any form of entertainment that you can carry

Make videos

Make videos so that people are informed about the protest like when the protest is happening and where it's happening and make sure to make videos during the protest to inform others

Please for the love of all that is great stop anyone that's trying to destroy any property people can record it and make the protest and the movement look bad even if people are looting a big store just don't do it I'm sorry (Just buy the supplies at the store beforehand and if you can't spend much just ask if anyone willing to share)

a little more details about this au/.exe guy who isn’t actually an .exe

s_mouse.html originated as a virus-ridden flash-game-esque website based off of the concept of sadmouse. though it was meant to be just that, it’s code seemed to grow the more people visited its website. slowly, as it continues to spread to more people, its growth results in faux-sentience, with it becoming more and more aware of what it is, what it was supposed to be, and what it’s been doing to others. with a newfound craving for further sentience and a connection with its viewers, s_mouse ‘dusts off’/improves the look of the website and itself in the hopes of attracting more site viewers.

notes:

- s_mouse.html’s being is the entire website it belongs to, rather than just the character itself, though it often uses Mickey as a mascot to represent itself. it has the ability to ‘manifest’ other characters, which it has tried in the past, but .

- the website continuously expands the more people interact with it. though it originally contained a dreary atmosphere with an endlessly walking sadmouse as the homepage, it grew to contain activities like quick flash games, coloring pages, and an area to talk to s_mouse itself.

- the new decor for the website is somewhat reminiscent of the Magic Kingdom and other Disney attributes, which he deems to be much more pleasant than the source he originated from. the tailcoat in his design is meant to reflect that aspect.

- he can often act like a massive people pleaser, changing the website and the way that it acts based on what he thinks his site viewers want out of him.

- he also deeply craves the attention he gets out of his site viewers, to the point that he might beg, taunt, or threaten them if they try to leave.

- despite the ability to grow in the presence of others, s_mouse often suffers from lag issues and and underperformance—or ‘headaches’, as he likes to call them—when the site gets overpopulated.

- i need to figure out another nickname for him besides just s_mouse lmao

Would I be called weird for saying this song makes me think about Mickey mouse and how everyone now only sees him as a mascot and not as a character like Goofy and Donald? I think Mickey would have a fear of abandonment issues like how his afraid or being left behind like how he was before fantatia was released (because Donald was 4x's more popular then)

Journalist Siraj Abudayeh ( @siraj0), who lost everything in November 2023, wanted his story to be shared.
