This is almost spot on, on how I view Liane like I love her but AUASJFIDIWOWKS

Liane is one of the most interesting characters in south park to me because of just how complex her relationship with her son is. She acts sweet, but it really is a lot of her parenting that made Cartman turn out the way he did, and though most people tend to forget or overlook it, early seasons would often imply she might have actively taught him those attitudes (her making him a hitler costume for example).

There's also the way she often would just cave in to whatever he wants without even trying to discipline him, since (as shown in "Tsst") she clearly treated him as more like a friend than her son (though this has improved in later seasons) and it all clearly stems from the fact that she just was not prepared to raise a child on her own.

With how little we know of her extended family, only seeing them in one episode, it seems to me like she's not particularly close to them, and obviously Jack Tenorman was not going to be involved, so she really had nobody to help her figure out what to do. Her inexperience combined with how truly alone she was really set the stage for her son to turn out as much of a sociopath as he did.

I'm not sure where I was going with this but man, South Park characters are really fun to talk about.

writing aus is so goofy cause you got me over here writing a completely different story JUST so Shelley isn't dead cause I love her shes so silly I wish she'd gotten more screentime and goddamn the lore is deep in this one. Don't get me wrong I love Randy x Sharon so much but divorced aus are wild (At least Shell's alive......Someone might need to check on Stan tho) (I love Shelley x Larry you will have to RIP THEM FROM MY DEAD COLD HANDS .)
