Homura Akemi is one of the most popular teenage pianist of her time and is about to go to the prestigious Mitakihara College of Music.Although, before going she has decided to spend the summer under the guise of her beloved piano teacher Chiaki Sheoji to focus on her studies.Instead, she forms an unlikely bond with bubbly painter Madoka Kaname, the daughter of a frequent visitor of Sheoji Sensei.

Little does Homura know that this summer in the small Japanese town next to her new College will change her life forever.
