Why am I so good at ruining things?

Girl we getting together Wednesday??? I miss you and it's shit that your roommate is leaving so quickly.

Things keeping me awake tonight:

-I picked up a bonus shift on my old floor today in hopes that I would get called off, but nope I actually had to work

-I picked up for tomorrow and am on call and won’t know if I work tomorrow until 5am. I shouldn’t have done that. 

-My roommate just sprung on me that she’s moving out next month. She’s moving closer to her parents and wants to have her own house instead of just sharing mine. 

-This breaks my heart because she’s become my best friend and she’s super easy going so she’s a pretty great roommate. It’s great living with someone who’s has the same career as you and you can just rant every night and they actually understand. And she’s always down for sushi lunches and drinks after work. 

-This makes me mad because less than a month’s notice?! Really?! This house payment isn’t cheap, the utilities are expensive bc its a pretty big house, and there’s no way I can find someone in that time.

-This kinda relieves me because she’s a functioning alcoholic and tends to drunk binge on my food and isn’t the cleanest person. And it’s hard living with someone who has the same job as you and is your age, it’s like everything feels like a competition. And I always felt inadequate or like a failure because she happened to randomly inherit a TON of money this year and was able to pay off her car, her student loans, get a boob job, go to Europe for two weeks, Hawaii for two weeks, and buy a $3,000 Louis Vuitton in Paris. So it’s become a bit of a negative environment. But it was getting better because I just accepted that while my finances are in check and heading in the right direction, I could obviously never win or even compete. 

-All of this makes me re-evaluate my living situation. My dad bought this house for me and I rent it from him. I get an awesome deal for a really cool, 100 year old house in a trendy neighborhood. I’ve done SO much work here making it my own, but it’s not mine and I feel WAY too attached. I’m sick of relying on roommates and dealing with this, but I also don’t want to live alone.

-Like living alone in a 4 bedroom, 2 story (with a basement), 2500 square foot home is terrifying. And it’s over 100 years old and can be kind of creepy. I’ve spent plenty of time here alone, but living here alone scared me. 

So I want to be off tomorrow and I need a new roommate that’s clean and easy going and for the ghosts in this house to not kill me before then.

Update 2: When she left she stole my DVDs, left all her trash including dirty kitty litter bag, and keyed my car. Maybe she should take her own advice and be an adult.

I keep the place clean, take out the trash, take all the dishes out of the dishwasher not just my own like she has. Lmao I’m cracking the fuck up.
