Simon Welber is my Deep Gnome, Grave Cleric. He was called by Kelemvor to be a Cleric, like his mother, when he was young. He was immediately put through his church training to be a proper Doomguide. However, it became apparent that who Simon was as a person clashed with his teachers’ view of how a true Cleric behaves and presents himself. For over a decade in schooling, Simon was constantly told that he was going to be a bad Cleric if he didn’t conform. Ellie Spicket, wife of my first D&D character, Wilton Spicket (Also known and Jack Spriggin) Wilton Spicket worked under his cousin, Baron Hathaway, for roughly 60 years as his right-hand man, personal bodyguard, and secret assassin. He met Ellie one day at a little café he liked to frequent while traveling across the country to assassinate his cousin’s targets. After multiple encounters as his waitress, Ellie gained an interest in Wilton and invited him to participate in some of the town’s activities. Wilton was a bit dense, not recognizing for a while that they were basically dating. But Ellie was patient and eventually wooed him. Hathaway noticed his cousin’s altered behavior and confronted him. When he found out a woman was involved, he commanded Wilton to break off the relationship. Reluctantly, Wilton attempted to do so, but Ellie wouldn’t have it. When he realized she had seen through him, Wilton decided to lead her to a secluded place and propose to her. For the first time, he laid out all his secrets about his work as an assassin. He then asked her not to answer his proposal immediately and escorted her home. After multiple days struggling with her decision, she said yes, but on the condition that he stop his life as an assassin.
