Okay an episode idea that I think could be really interesting for this season is that the whole “woke being dead” thing starts to affect South Park elementary’s minority students in a similar fashion to how the tr*mp administration’s laws has been affecting minorities in real life; Tweek and Craig are denied lunch for being gay, the funding is cut for the disabled students, David is expelled from school for being Mexican, etc etc
Not only do I think it could potentially be a really interesting parallel to a lot of the shit that’s been happening to this country’s minority groups as of lately in a South Park-esque fashion, but I also think it could be a fun potential way of getting pc principal back on track. Like, perhaps we see these students team up to try and convince pc principal to come back to his old ways and fight for social justice once more?
#and we haven't seen jimmy in a hot minute!#I miss my son#this would be such a great reason to make david relevant again too#text post#reblog

all the discussion i’m seeing is like “ooooh they owned trump” when the A plot of “woke is dead conservatism is on the rise being edgy is no longer subversive and now incredibly normalized” is SO much more interesting and there’s a lot more to talk about there anyway
#imo both plots very much go hand in hand with each other idk how to explain it#both of them stem from the same problem but I suppose that's just how B-plots work in general#as in both plots criticize Trump its just that one of them did it directly and the other one not#its still nice to see people talk sbout the “woke is dead” plot specifically#because yeah that shit is depressing#reblog

The show is better than the fandom, there, I said it. I grew up watching adult cartoons like king of the hill, the Simpsons, American dad, and Futurama, and the reason why I love South park is how unique it is. The shitty animation, the cute characters, the extremely raunchy and absurd subject matter. Would a show like " Futurama" start off with an episode about a little kid with an anal probe? Nope. Would Bobby from king of the hill start a Christian rock band with the desire to get a platinum record to win a bet with Joseph and conny? Nah, Bobby's a good kid. All the characters and situations in South park are so unlike most other shows, yet it still has that sweetness to it. The fandom is fine, i mean, what would I be in the fandom if I didn't enjoy being there? My issue is the mischaracterization of the characters, and acting like South park is just some sitcom, instead of a completely raunchy and offensive yet sweet cartoon. I know people have free will, but if you don't like the show, why spend so much time and energy in the fandom. I do want to clarify that I am not talking about race/sexuality headcanons of characters; Gay, bilingual half Mexican Stan Marsh can still be manipulated by the Christmas critters and have to stop them from starting Armageddon. Headcanons are fun and help people feel represented, what I dislike is when people write some shoujo- anime ass AU's, and openly claim to dislike the actual cartoon and it's creators, and dismiss characters whole personalities. These people are very talented, but it almost feels like "fixing" the show, while simultaneously making it more offensive (like in situations where people feminize tweek for the sake of their seme/uke dynamics). I am a queer liberal, don't get me wrong, but PLEASE LET THE CHARACTERS BE OFFENSIVE SANDY LITTLE BUTTHOLES. Call me a hater, call me jelly, but this is my opinion. No hate to the rest of the fandom

I know his son has already said as much, but Isaac Hayes' son just spoke up again about his departure from the show and how scientology forced him out.
It just breaks my heart honestly. Fuck scientology.
#his story never fails to break my heart#all the shit that went down after the scientology episode as a whole is insane#reblog

I think a lot of the most outspoken South Park haters just have a skewed perception of what the show is like. No, the main characters aren’t all racist, antisemetic, alt-right bigots. They’re kids. With (mostly) realistic opinions. It’s usually the situations they get into that are offensive obviously excluding Cartman. but that guy sucks
#that and “south park made it cool not to care”#which is an idea you could obly get by misinterpreting the whole “making fun of everyone shtick”#reblog#text post

Three Parents AU 9 👴
Little does Eric know, his new foster dads are prepared to fight for him every step of the way. Though, that doesn't mean they'll be getting anything but cable TV for him anytime soon.

My take is that Human Kite being ace and gender-neutral is likely a play on the ace & enby robot/alien trope (same with Tupperware being gender-neutral). Call Girl being genderfluid on the other hand doesn't really embody any specific trope and it only applying to Wendy's alter-ego specifically feels a bit jarring to some because it quite literally has the word "Girl" in it.
The only "non-Wendy-is-genderfluid" explanation I could think of is the part of the game where she tells you to meet her in your gender-specific bathroom
I find it a bit funny that people JUMP on Wendy having genderfluid in her character sheet in TFBW, but completely ignore that Kyle had asexual (and gender-neutral) in his character sheet. Yes, I am referring to how a significant portion of this fandom frequently characterizes Kyle as (stereotypically) gay while the asexuality bit from TFBW goes COMPLETELY ignored. This is not to criticize anyone who takes something from the TFBW character sheets and ignores everything else. There is an argument to be made about how much of the character sheets are just the kids’ personas. I just think it’s noteworthy in this specific instance.
#obvioisly not saying that he can't be ace#I mean I personally nc him growing up to discover that he is in fact ace spec#but I think that the “asexual” on his tbfw character sheet is specifically about his alien persona#which is why people don't launch onto it quite as often#kyle broflovski#text post

THE RUMOR COME OUT: does Kevin Price is gay?
Kevin Price is gay is the most discussed in the media in the few years ago. Even it has happened in 2011, but some of the public still curious about what is exactly happening and to be the reason there is a rumor comes out about his gay. At that time he became the massive social networking rumor.
The public, especially the Mormon church are shocked. He just came out with his bad rumor which is spread massively. This time is not about his Uganda mission, but his bad rumor. The rumor is out of standardize of hoax, according the last reported this elder revealed himself as homosexual. Do you still believe or not, this rumor is really much talked by people even in a person of the Mormon church.
