Welcome back to Nessian Creator Highlights!! We want to take a moment to recognize the amazing individuals in our fandom who kindly use up so much of their freetime and creative energy to share their work with us!

If you've been around for a minute, you've likely seen the distinctive art style of @jmoonjones. Injecting humor into her pieces, either by Brayxis tormenting Cassian in a myriad of creative schemes, or the famous Shadow Babies, Jmoonjones keeps us all well entertained in her free time.

Outside of being a wildly talented artist, Jmoonjones is also incredibly lovely and wonderfully generous. She makes our nessian community warmer, brighter, and an overall fun space to be in.

For today I wanted an illustration of Nesta and Cassian enjoying the tranquility of the House. This was, in fact, the first illustration that I commissioned with Pablo and when I saw how it turned out, I was unable to correctly order the words because of how impacted I was by the beauty of the illustration.

My original idea of her clawing out of a cocoon as a beautiful butterfly was beyond my abilities as an artist. I tried. It looked deranged. Maybe next year!

So instead I decided to show that as Nesta evolves, part of her growth comes from reconciling the past and accepting the different facets of herself.

We’re coming up on Nesta Week and I’ve been trying so hard to draw some Nestas but I’m utterly failing.

None are working and the week is creeping up on me 😭

Here they are all together! 💍✨ I have also officialy decided to make an artbook (or two) with all the characters! Hopefully it'll be printed and ready in summer!

ACOTAR characters get pets (part 1)  There’s logic(ish) behind each pet choice, I promise:  Elain: bunny (likes gardens, not to be underestimated) 🐇 Rhysand: ferret (tenacious, gets up in your business whether you want it to or not) 🐾 Feyre: bat (because I had to) 🦇 Cassian: golden retriever (duh) 🦮 Nesta: cat (has claws, will use them) 🐈‍⬛ Mor: llama (awesome in theory, a bit messy in reality) 🦙 Amren: bird (not very cuddly, fierce pecks) 🦜 Azriel: (mysterious, adorable) 💙 

(The lack of ferret and shadowbaby emojis is, quite frankly, a travesty) 

((I hope they all get a cute/sassy animal sidekick because ACOTAR needs a Fleetfoot or Syrinx))
