my little sister absolutely adores newsies, but she only likes the stage version and despises the 1992 version. (The stage version was the first one she saw, she's pretty young and still finds it distressing to see different people playing the same characters with different lines or plot points)

unfortunately for her, I prefer the 1992 version a lot of the time, so I'll be listening to carrying the banner (as example) in my room and when we pass a line that's different you can just hear. "Welcome to new yooork" "MUM, CHARLIES LISTENING TO THE HELL NOISE"

favourite sprace dynamic is when they're being kinda gay and one of them just goes "..uuh... what are you doing?" to the reply of "I don't know! What are you doing?!" before they sort of shift awkwardly and continue whatever they were doing but with more awareness

But hotshot walks in one night with his eyes screwed shut and a hand over his eyes to try protect himself saying "Spot one of the kids threw up and everyone is panicking" before he blinks slowly because they're cuddling. Spot is kissing Races fingertips so tenderly. Races hands are around the back of his neck tugging at the ends of his hair and saying he needs a haircut a giggle caught between his lips.

He very slowly walks out because he can deal with it, and they can be soft in the confides of secrecy.
