Didn't quite make it though the Easter weekend sober, but I managed to control what I drank. A small combination of family support and non-alcoholic beers made small but impactful steps...
It's important to acknowledge that non-alcoholic wines, beers and spirits are not recommended for recovering alcoholics (as they can act as a trigger), however, this is a journey and no effort towards sober should be criticised!

After 10 years of struggling with a drinking problem, bad decisions and a sexual assault that almost ended it all - today my soberity journey starts!
It will be a long journey, and potentially the hardest thing I'll ever do. But if you're like me, struggling with alcohol and the regrettable outcomes of your inability to give up the booze - you are welcome to join me on this journey to health
