As a Filipino woman, I find myself standing against a textured stone wall, its rough surface ia stark contrast to the softness of my skin. My attire, a sleeveless patterned crop top and denim shorts, feels like an extension of my personality. There’s something magical The memory of this lighthouse in the US. Standing by the rocky coast, with the pastel sunset and the crashing waves below, it gave me a sense of peace I didn’t know I needed. As a Filipino far from home, it reminded me of the lighthouses in Ilocos and Palawan, where life feels so connected to the sea. This place brought back cherished memories – laughing with friends, soaking in the beauty, and feeling a little closer to home. Sometimes, home is found in unexpected places. This will always be one of mine.
