this was my first victory screen for SMITE. it was a challenge to set up because i had to create the illusion that Ah Puch and the camera are moving thru an environment, but the victory/defeat cameras are locked.
i started with Ah Puch’s jaunty walk cycle; then i arranged the bodies, and rotated the ground plane in time with Ah Puch’s walk/performance. then i made the zombie walk cycles, and choreographed their main controls to get them to their marks, then handed the zombie/minion interactions off to a couple of coworkers to help me get it done on time.
Ah Puch is still one of my favorite characters i’ve worked on. =)
