Scribbles: Alien World

Had a thought to revisit one of my old worlds created during the creative streak over years ago. It was a world built from the primordial creative juices in my head, put from uncountable inspirations and knowledge bases learned from who knows forever.

Here is a perspective of how a world is built from the rise of some fundamental ideas. What happens if you consider a world suspended in nigh microgravity conditions, a supercharged atmospheric envelope orbiting a twin neutron star system, gravitational suspension, intense magnetic fields and radiation? A extreme and chaotic environment bordering an impossible miracle, in a constant state of freefall.

Not gonna lie, worldbuilding in detail is not easy. I don't have the mental and time resources these days, to expand a world in such intricate detail. Each of the scribbles above are mostly ideas of local flora and fauna that push the limits of my science knowledge base combined with accumulated general knowledge. Some of the concepts here are bordering magical fantasy, without even getting into the residing intelligent lifeforms.

It has been a while, and even a shadow evolves. However, Yu is still as clingy as always as a ball of seemingly limitless energy. New eye designs to better fit the original Avali vibes, a little more vibrant on the feather-do, and maybe a little update in the suit too. Yu loves it.

Progress: Sketch Transfer

The last sketch was something I wanted to finish, but it was done on a sketch paper. Since I was unable to recreate the same vibe of it, this technique had to be considered to transfer at least a vague outline of the it onto a better piece of drawing paper, sacrificing the original sketch in the process. A risky move, but had to be done.

While not visible on the photo, I can clearly see indentations of the image's outline imprinted onto the papaer surface. The concern I have, will be these indentations affecting future colouring. I have some measures to mitigate it, but hopefully things don't go south. This is something I really don't want to mess up, if possible.

Been noticing lately, that many keep tagging my works on the species as Furry-related. I am in fact, fascinated by the species as a concept but not that community behind it. Cutting into the less pleasant stuff for the popular narrative, only keep reading if you are interested in more than just the drawing.

After investigating for over 2 years like a silly nerd I was, spent time in the community circles (I am not a furry), learned about its lore, development history, popularisation, etc, I can see it misunderstood as a concept. The mainstream iteration of the concept today is a far cry of what the creator originally intended.

Avali aren't humanlike at all. Having a pseudo-hive mind concept with multiple independent minds working like multiple processors of the same computer? Knowing how personalisation works in furry characters, this just shows how misunderstanding a simple concept can lead to such a disconnect from the originals.

Honestly, I am capable of hypothetically creating a world based on them and filling in holes in existing lore, or even create my own take on it. However, it is not worth the energy as I have summarised and wrapped up my personal venture into this rabbit hole. However, i acknowledge that I can still draw them well, as characters.

Scribbles: White Bird Ido

Have been struggling lately with external commitments and distractions, resulting in some serious imbalances in energy and focus. Despite all that, this kept bugging me from the corner of my awareness as a fixation. And when I finally settled down enough to be able to grab the pencil, this came out.

Honestly, I'm pretty nervous about presenting this image. Being a symbolic image deeply steeped in personal spiritual depths, it is still evolving over time. It is a really difficult image to present, due to personal insecurities. This has come a long way since the last older picture already presented within this archieve. That is all I can say for this, giving room for external interpretation.

What happens when I keep trying to capture that spiritual image seen from the mind's eye? A shapeshifting abstract that is anchored merely by symbols. Sometimes I really just want to convey a consistent image that the world can see, which is really, really hard...

"Emblem"

3 years have passed since the first usage of the old logo normally used on my drawings after editing. The old logo is actually a wyvern rising from a shadow, which was the start of a journey towards personal realisation.

Things have come a long way since then, and a transformation was inevitable. Keeping things simple, this is the new one. It was hand-made from pencil as usual, then coverted into a PNG image simply using Paint apps.

"Bird Abstract Scribbles"

Very random mind drifting in scribbling, while uncovering a surprisingly good mood today. No matter how much has changed, this figure never dissappears. It continues to be something outside my drawing abilities, appearing as a highly abstract entity.

My unrefined thought patterns are really abstract in nature. I know what is going on and what images are surfacing from the depths, but drawing skills still have not caught up enough for me to properly manifest them. For now, it is enough for them to stay like this.

Again, this is nothing impressive for most.
