Secret Santa—Poe Dameron x Reader
You were laying in your bed, staring at the ceiling, wondering what you were going to get for your secret santa gift. It shouldn't have been this complicated for you since the person you randomly picked had a notecard filled with what he could possibly want.
Sighing you sat up and reached to your night stand, grabbing your small purse and throwing a pair of shoes on.
'It's now or never,' you thought to yourself before exiting your room and walking into the empty hallway. You began your trek to the hangar, hoping to go unnoticed as you approached your X-Wing. A series of beeps made you stop in your tracks. Your heart began to race and your stomach began to do summersaults. 'Oh no.'
"Hey, (y/n)! Where are you headed? The party is going to start in an hour!" You heard the voice of your best friend, Poe Dameron yell from the other side of the large room. Turning around, you faced him as he jogged your way.
"Oh, I know," you began. "I was just going to get my gift."
"Oh man, who'd you get?" He asked, smiling excitedly. His chocolate eyes were filled with hope and happiness as well as a hint of curiosity. His hair was disheveled, as it always is, and you couldn't help but to blush for staring for so long.
"That's for me to know and you to find out, Dameron," you stated, biting your tongue so you wouldn't admit that you were getting him his present. Poe's smile dropped momentarily before being replaced with a sly smirk.
"Then I guess I'll just do this, then." Suddenly Poe wrapped his arms around you in a tight, vice-like grip. One of his hands went through your pockets searching for the index card. Your cheeks must have been red at this moment, the proximity making your small crush for the pilot run wild.
"Poe stop! Don't you dare look at that!" You yelled, trying to get out of his grip. When he released you he backed up a few feet and threatened to open the folded piece of paper in his hands. Luckily for you, you memorized the first thing on the list of five--a new warp drive for his X-Wing.
"And what if I do, Hm?" Silenece followed as you thought of the perfect come back. When he began opening the card, you leaped, quickly snatching the card and dashing for your X-Wing.
"See you later, Dameron!"
--
The party was just starting when you arrived, dressed in an ugly sweater and jeans. Your gift was in a box wrapped in green and red striped wrapping paper. On top of the box was a silver bow and a card with Poe's name written on it.
Quickly, you placed the gift onto the gift table and made your way over to the drink table. There was music playing and decorative lights lining the walls along with streamers and table centerpieces. A lot of people were here and this was a great break from all of the fast-paced days that were had on the base. You poured yourself some punch and took a sip just as Poe approached you.
“So how were your errands, (l/n)?” Poe asked, having a sly grin from ear to ear. You looked over at the pilot. ‘Play it cool, (y/n).’
“Good. I got what I needed to get,” you told him. You were about to walk away when Poe said, “That’s good. I had to work really hard to find something special for my gift, too.” You raised and eyebrow.
“And who did you get?” You asked him. He grinned from ear to ear and got closer to your face.
“That’s for me to know and you to find out.” The nerve. You scoffed and gave him a non-aggressive glare followed by a laugh. Some distance was put between you two and Poe poured himself more punch. You looked over his attire and noticed his ugly sweater. It was cute. “Wanna go socialize?”
—
The time finally came and everyone got their gifts. All at once, the sound of wrapping paper being ripped filled the room and out of the corner of your eye, you watched Poe open his gift, hoping he would like it. You unwrapped you’re gift and saw just what you wanted inside—a new book that you have wanted for the longest time. You’ve tried to find this book for ages, but you couldn’t find it anywhere. You opened the cover and saw a note inside.
Hey (n/n), I was searching for this book for a while, but I finally found it. Happy holidays! Oh and there’s another note in the back cover.
~Poe
You smiled from ear to ear and looked over at Poe who was reading your note. A soft smile was emerging on his face as he read it.
Poe, it’s me. I wanted to think outside of the box for your gift, but I couldn’t think of anything so I decided on the warp drive. When you came up to me earlier today, I was really hoping you didn’t ruin the surprise and luckily you didn’t.
-(y/n)
You then moved your way to the back cover and another note fell out. You picked it up and wondered what it said.
Meet me at delta after the party.
You raised an eyebrow and looked over to Poe who was excited. Delta was your code name for this spot in the hangar that no one ever goes to. What could he be planning? Oh well, you’ll learn later. Right now, you were happy about your book. You walked over to Poe and gave him a big hug at how happy you were.
“Where did you find this?” You asked him, eyes glistening with pure joy and happiness.
“Jakku,” he said shortly. You wanted more explanation, but he hugged you just before you could ask.
“I’ve been needing a new warp drive for a while now. Thank you so much,” he said. You chuckled and pulled away from the pilot. Now that everyone’s gifts had been dispersed, it was time to begin cleaning up from this party and to start heading out. Poe gave you a wink and snuck out of the party without anyone noticing. You had butterflies in your stomach and couldn’t help but to quickly follow along. Cleaning up after parties wasn’t your thing—sober that is—and you didn’t want to get caught up into an activity that could take an hour to complete.
The closing of the doors echoed in the empty hallway. The lights were dim due to it not being busy hours and it was quiet enough to hear a mouse scurrying across the floor. You walked and your footsteps echoed and with each step you became all the more excited.
When you got to your destination, you saw Poe leaning against the wall boredly. Upon your arrival, he smiled and walked toward you. The butterflies intensified to bees buzzing with each step he took. You placed your book on the shelf next to you when Poe was standing right in front of you.
“(Y/n),” he took a deep breath, “ I didn’t want to ask at the party, but do you want to go on a date with me? I feel like there’s a huge connection here.” You smiled widely and Poe looked down at you and watched as you nodded your head. He smiled and gave you the biggest hug you’ve ever received.
“I’d like that a lot.”

Avoidance—Han Solo x Reader
“All right, sweet cheeks, tell me what’s wrong,” Han said as he plopped down onto your bed inside of the Millennium Falcon. You turned to look at the cocky pilot who was resting on your bed with his feet crossed and arms behind his head. You rolled your eyes and walked to the door.
“Everything is fine,” you said as you tried to escape the sights of Han. He sighed and quickly sprung out of the bed and held the door shut. You tilted your head up to look him in the eyes. “Let me out.”
“Not until you tell me why you’ve been avoiding me ever since Endor,” he demanded. It was a known fact to Leia and Luke that you had a crush on the smuggler and you thought the best course of action to get over it was to avoid him, but now it appears that that plan backfired. The battle of Endor happened three days ago and your avoidance didn’t go unnoticed.
Another sigh escaped your lips and you turned around to sit on the edge of your bed. Looking down at the ground you stared at your feet that were shuffling nervously.
“It’s nothing, Han. Trust me,” you said, adding a short laugh at the end of your statement. The gears in Han’s head were turning and he knew that something was up. He waltzed over to you and stood before you, placing his hand under your chin and pushing it up so that he could maintain eye contact.
“I don’t think so,” he said quietly, his voice smoother than velvet. His thumb caressed your chin in a soothing manner, easing your nerves and making your legs jelly. Your (e/c) eyes locked with his and you saw worry swimming deep within them. Another sigh.
“I’m okay, Han.”
--
“(y/n), you gotta tell him, even if he is a scoundrel that doesn’t deserve you. It isn’t healthy to avoid situations like this,” Leia told you while the both of you were shopping through the bazaar on this planet. “What if I told you that I know for a fact that he’s longing for you as much as you’re longing for him? I promise that I’d keep it a secret, but you need to know.” Your interest was now peaked. You examined the fruit that was in front of you and placed it in your basket.
“Is that so?” A small smile formed on your lips. It was nice knowing that Han could have mutual feelings. “I guess you’re right. I’ve hated every minute of avoiding him. How stupid am I to think that it would work?” Leia rolled her eyes and thought about how ridiculous you have been for the past few days.
After a few hours, you and Leia headed back to the Falcon, where Luke was napping and where Han and Chewbacca were fixing some things on the Falcon. You and Leia got on quietly and the lift off occurred as normally.
--
You and Han were the last ones awake and, subsequently, the two that were in charge of flying the Falcon.
“You done avoiding me, sweet cheeks?” Han piped up after a few moments of silence, a smirk evident on his face. You hummed in response, not wanting to give him the satisfaction. You knew that your were done avoiding him, but that didn’t mean you couldn’t tease him.
“You wish, Solo,” you giggled to yourself. Han also laughed and the nerves began to bubble up within your being. Butterflies were flying all over your stomach and a small amount of heat could be felt coming off of your cheeks. “Actually, I’m ready to talk now.”
“What happened on your trip with Leia that made you want to start talking?” Han quizzed, genuinely curious as to why this complete isolation ended so suddenly. He wasn’t upset, in fact he was more than happy.
“Doesn’t matter, you wouldn’t care. But I think you’d care about the thing I want to talk about,” you said, voice getting in high pitch at the end of the statement. Han raised an eyebrow and wondered what your cryptic message could mean. Could she be talking about what he confided to Leia? No, impossible.
“Well, don’t leave me hanging here,” he stated. You hummed and just as you were about to say it, alarms were going off. Luckily for you two, these things have happened to you a lot and panic wasn’t your first responses. “Quick, switch that lever.”
The Falcon began to shake and Han had no choice but to land once more. He hated stopping places for reasons other than to make some business. Luke was awake and stumbling into the cockpit area.
“What’s happening?” He said as he quickly strapped into the seat behind Han.
“Emergency landing.”
—
The ship was landed and Han took liberty in kicking everyone off except for you. He sent even Chewie away to have a free day. Now it was up to you and Han to fix whatever was broken.
“Spill,” he said as he tightened a bolt. You heard him clearly, but since you were so far away fixing another problem, you could act dumb and act like you didn’t hear him.
“What did you say?” You yelled. There was an echo and Han rolled his eyes. “Forget it.” He was getting antsy, just where you wanted him to be, but at the same time you felt guilty—his tone with the forget it was one that you aren’t accustomed with Han having. However, when the time was right, you were going to pounce on him and confess your true feelings.
You crawled back out into the main area, having finished your work and Han emerged soon after. He was slightly sweaty and covered with grease, but it was hot. You locked eyes and all you could feel was the racing of your heart and the adrenaline pumping through your veins. Everything else around you blurred and in this plane was only you and Han.
‘Here we go,’ you thought to yourself. ‘It’s time.’
Han pulled himself up into the main area and walked over to you. You placed a hand on his shoulder and maintained the eye contact, a soft smile appearing on your face. He put his hand over yours and placed the other one on your hip carefully. He didn’t know what came over him, but felt that he should have done something other than stand there.
“I was running away from my feelings,” you whispered. He gave you a soft smile and pulled you closer to him.
“You don’t need to run away from me, babydoll,” han said, his voice deep and hoarse in the best of ways. Your heads were getting closer and then boom, contact. It was a sweet kiss that wasn’t too long, but it wasn’t too short. You pulled away and smiled at each other. “I always had a feeling.”
“Really, because I didn’t think it would work out,” you said, giggling. “But obviously I was wrong for once.”
“You were wrong for once? Wow how the tables have turned,” the both of you smiled and laughed at that statement and hugged it out, giddy about this new chapter forming in your life.
—
When the crew arrived back onto the ship, they were surprised to see you and Han laughing with each other and sitting so close to one another. They didn’t think that you two would be so close so soon, but they acted cool and didn’t bring attention to the new dynamic. Leia was so happy she could celebrate, but decided to keep it to herself, for now. Luke has an all-knowing grin plastered on his face and Chewie was the slightest bit confused since he didn’t know anything between you and Han.
“So,” Leia asked, “where are going now?”

How Long?--Ben Solo x Reader: Part 3
This is the final part so I hope y’all enjoy it!!!
“Wow this place is beautiful,” Ben said from the passenger seat of your X-wing. You smiled.
“That’s why this is my escape. We’re going to this lake that is amazing at this time of night,” you explained.
You landed the ship and lead Ben to the bank of the lake. All around you were mountains and the full moon was high in the sky and the weather couldn’t be any better. You sat down at the edge of the lake and just took in the scenery around you. Ben sat beside you and did the same.
“How’d you find this place?” You looked to Ben and motioned for him to be quiet. He looked confused, but then noticed something in the sky—a shooting star! It wasn’t just one though, it was a meteor shower that put the ones that happen by the Resistance base to shame. As you watched the show, Ben opened his mouth in awe at how cool it was that there were things falling through the sky.
“Around this time of year, there are meteor showers every night and I just wanted to show you because I thought you’d enjoy it,” you explained. Ben smiled and continued to look around at this scenery. He watched the fish stir in the lake and he watched the stars fall and he looked at the mountains, finding something familiar about this.
“I remember something,” he said excitedly, “I remember us sneaking out at night to come here.” Ben then began to explain the memory.
The night was cold and all Ben could think about was the adventure with you. Did any of your parents know what you were planning? No, but that’s the beauty of being a rebellious teenager. The plan was to sneak out and meet by Luke’s X-Wing at around 10 and to then go to Naboo.
Ben was the first to meet at the rendezvous point. He was dressed in gray pants, a long sleeved maroon shirt, and a black jacket. You finally came up wearing black pants and two jackets.
“Cold?” Ben asked. You giggled quietly as you nodded and Ben smiled. “So this wasn’t meant for two people, so we are gonna have to squeeze.” You blushed when Ben said that, but luckily enough, it was cold enough to warrant you having a rosy face. Ben dropped down the ladder attached to the vehicle and helped you up. He then followed and, using a rope, pulled the ladder back inside. Ben sat down in the seat and you sat in front of him, right between his legs. There was enough room for the both of you in this position and there was still room for Ben to control the ship.
“It’s go time,” Ben said as he put down the hood and started the engines. It wasn’t long before you were in the air and on your way to Naboo.
“That’s great!” You exclaimed. “Is there anything else?” Ben focused all of his energy into remembering. He fell short, but this memory was good enough. He shook his head. He wanted to remember more right now, but it just wasn’t happening. He looked defeated, but you were proud of him.
“Let’s call it a night and go back home,” you said, yawning. You both then got up and walked back to the X-wing. The grass swayed in the breeze and the sound coming from the trees in the wind was music to your ears. Nature was beautiful and you thought that everyone should get the chance to emerge themselves in it once in a while.
“Did you know that over the course of our adventures, you taught me how to fly?” You asked him while you strolled along. “And now look at me, I’m almost as good as Poe, but to be fair, he grew up around air craft.”
“I guess I must have been really good then,” he said, laughing to himself. In that moment he found pride, even if he doesn’t remember. It’s like his body remembers everything, but the brain is the one lagging behind.
—
You arrived back at the base and decided to let Ben look at some things from your past. Ben sat down on the bed and you opened your chest and retrieved a photo album. You sat beside Ben and opened the album. There were things in there ranging from your first hang out all the way up to the week before he left.
“I like to take pictures of everything, so I captured moments I thought were important,” you said as you flipped through the pages. Ben carefully observed each page that was being flipped through.
“Wait,” he said, stopping your page turning. He looked at this particular picture—it was one that was taken a month before he left to train. That memory was when you realized that you were in love with Ben.
You had just gotten into a fight with your parents. You don’t remember what the fight was about, but you remember that it made you very upset, so much so that you ran out into the wilderness. You found a nice tree to sit under and you just cried.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” You heard Ben say. You shook your head and just continued to sob. Ben sat beside you and wrapped an arm around your shoulders. You leaned against him and you felt comfort. “It’s ok. Everything will be fine.”
“How’d you know where I was?” You asked him. You were cried out and tired, so you still leaned against Ben. He was warm, and smelled like lavender.
“I felt like something was wrong and followed the feeling here,” he explained. “I don’t like seeing you so upset. You can sleep over at my house, if you want to.” You nodded your head and the both of you walked to Ben’s house. Han was out smuggling and Leia was sitting on the couch, sipping tea while in her pajamas.
“Hey mom, is it alright if (y/n) sleep over tonight?” Ben asked. Leia gave you a sad smile and nodded her head.
“As long as you promise to have no funny business,” she said sternly. You and Ben blushed and quickly made your way into his room.
For a few hours, you couldn’t sleep so Ben stayed up with you to pass the time. You just talked about everything and anything. The moment was wholesome and you both trusted each other deeply. And it was in this deepness that Ben told you that his mom was thinking about sending him away with Luke. There wasn’t any commitment yet since she still had to convince his father, but Ben knew that it was inevitable. You were the tiniest bit upset, but you told him that you’d wait for him to get back and while waiting, you will spend your time wisely.
“I remember everything now,” Ben said, dragging you out of the memory. Your heart started to beat faster and you couldn’t help the smile rushing to your face. You gave Ben a big hug and he chuckled. The album was on the ground by now, but that didn’t matter right now.
“I’ve missed you so much,” he said, kissing you immediately after. This moment was long in the making and it was everything you have waited for. You pulled away from each other and you both couldn’t help but to smile.
“I think I’ve missed you more,” you said giving him even more of a tight squeeze. This was the first time you’ve seen the true Ben in a long time and it made you giddy.
There was a hurried knock on your door and you got up to answer it. Standing there was Rey and she had the biggest smile. Your smile got wider as she spoke.
“I felt his presence again. Welcome back, Ben,” she said walking into the room and giving him a hug. Rey was so excited that she couldn’t wait to see him alive and well.
“Thanks for saving me, by the way,” he said, a little embarrassed. You chuckled and Rey said goodnight to the both of you. You looked into Ben’s eyes and saw the hope and the soul of the one you fell in love with all those years ago. It didn’t matter how long it took for him to come back. To you, it only matter how long he will stay.

How Long?--Ben Solo x Reader: Part 2
You didn’t dream that night, but it was the most restful sleep you have gotten. You looked to your right and saw Ben still asleep. His hair was messy and his mouth was slightly open. Small snores were coming from this large man and he was drooling just the tiniest bit. You stood from your spot on the floor and gathered your blanket and pillow. You folded the blanket and placed it onto your chest and topped it with your pillow. Then you got dressed into your clothes for the day.
“Hnng,” Ben groaned, “my head hurts.” He scrunched his eyes closed and rubbed out his hands over his eyes. He sat up with his legs off of the bed. “This is worse than a hangover.”
“It’s really that bad?” Ben jumped out of the bed, not knowing that anyone was around. His face scrunched in pain and he fell to his knees while holding his head. His head was pounding so hard, he was surprised that you couldn’t hear it from three feet away. You lunged over and helped him back into his feet. “Hey, take it easy.”
And it was in that moment that Ben locked eyes with you. His eyes still held that same innocence as when he left. Your heart melted and a soft, welcoming smile appeared on your face. Ben furrowed his eyebrows and took on a confused look.
“Where am I and who are you?” He asked you. Your smile fell and you sighed. Well, you can’t have your cake and eat it too, I guess.
“You’re at the Resistance base, or I guess now it’s the former Resistance base. And I’m (y/n). We were really close before you, uh, left,” you said awkwardly. You weren’t sure that you wanted to tell him the reason for his leaving or even the reason why he was standing before you. “I’ll go find you some clean clothes and I’ll show you around.” You left the room.
Down the hall was Rey and you power walked towards her. She noticed you approaching and waved with a smile.
“Hey, is Ben awake yet?”
“Yes, but we have a problem. He doesn’t remember anything.” Rey pursed her lips and thought back to the ancient texts that she had read. Was this topic even covered in any of those texts? It had to be, somewhere.
“Rey, are you good?” you asked her. She snapped out of her thoughts and came back with a definite answer.
“It shouldn’t be an issue since it’s common when coming back from the brink of death. His memories should return in due time. We can try to do things to bring his memory back,” Rey explained. You raised your eyebrows and thought it over.
“If Ben is down, it wouldn’t hurt to try.”
—
Ben was confused at first, but he understood what happened to him and was eager to get his memories back. The first thing that was proposed to bring his memory back was an introduction to the force. Rey’s thought process was that since the force is within everyone, she could manually unlock the memories that resided within Ben.
“So just relax and focus on the feeling of everything around you. Before you lost your memory, you could use the force—pretty well, in fact—and this could be a key to unlocking your memories,” Rey explained. You, Chewie and Finn sat 50 yards away, watching everything go down. It was a nice day to be outside, so the planning for this event couldn’t have been any more perfect.
“Do you think this is going to do anything? I mean, look at them; they’ve been sitting there for ten minutes and nothing has happened,” Finn whispered. Chewie said something along the lines of be patient and relax, but Wookie was always hard for you. Finn grumbled and leaned his back against the tree.
After another couple of minutes, Ben rose into the air. Everyone noticed his achievement and calmly celebrated. Rey soon followed him up into the air and tried to connect with him through the force. This action caused a loud boom and for both of them to fall to the ground with a thud.
“Ow,” Ben said. They stood up and walked over to where you were sitting.
“It appears that Ben’s mind cannot be opened by the force. we will have to try other ways.”
—
It was Chewbacca’s attempt at bringing back Ben’s memories. His strategy was to create a mass panic. His logic was that a traumatic event can bring back previous memories that had been long forgotten. Adrenaline would flow through his veins, and then he would remember everything.
You, Rey and Finn followed them into the Falcon. Since Han was Ben’s dad, he was taught how to operate aircraft from a young age.
All of you strapped in and Chewie launched into the atmosphere. He then shut down all of the systems, causing the ship to begin to crash down to the planet. The feeling of free-falling was enough to make you white-knuckle the armrests of your seat. Chewbacca just sat back, waiting to intervene. “Ben, take control already!”
“I-I don’t know how! Do I press this button here?!”
Everyone was panicking, except for the mastermind behind this project, as Ben grabbed the controls. He was hyperventilating and didn’t know what to do. As the Falcon plummeted, nothing was clicking and the controls had to be taken back. Chewbacca evened out the flight path and it was smooth sailing down to the ground. You were shaking, Finn looked sick, and Rey’s eyes were wide with terror.
Upon landing, Finn ran off and threw up onto the nearest bush. You and Rey walked off, still shaking from adrenaline and Ben had to be pried away from the co-pilot seat by Chewbacca since he was frozen with fear. This fight or flight strategy didn’t trigger any of Ben’s memories, so it was onto Finn’s attempt.
—
“Is this necessary? I mean, wasn’t I the bad guy at this point of time?” Ben asked as Finn handed him a black helmet that resembled that of Kylo Ren’s. Finn placed a storm trooper helmet on his head.
“Think of it this way: you spent a lot of time as the villain and maybe, just maybe, that will trigger something,” Finn explained. You and Rey snickered as Ben held a stick representing a light saber. He felt ridiculous, of course, but Finn seemed really into it for some weird reason. “Alright, now instruct me to kill those people,” Finn said, pointing to the barrels that he lined up on the outskirts of the training area.
“Now you, storm trooper, kill those people in that village,” Ben instructed. His voice was shaky and echoed within the helmet. He was uncomfortable at giving these instructions and there was a comedic effect coming from you and Rey. Finn followed his orders and shot a blaster at a few trees in the distance.
“Anything yet?” Finn asked. Ben shook his head and Finn hung his head in defeat. Ben took of the helmet and dropped the stick as Finn walked over to him.
“What in heavens is going on over here?!” Poe yelled. Everyone scattered despite Poe’s confusion.
—
“I’m trying to remember, really. It’s just so hard since I’m trying to pull things from an empty void,” Ben sulked. You sat beside him and rubbed his back.
“I’m sure you’ll remember soon, Ben. It’s just going to take time. I don’t know first hand how tough this is on you, but it’s alright to not force it. No one is rushing you, so take your time.”
“I doubt it will happen soon. It’s already been two weeks and I just want to know everything that made me who I am. I wanna know why I turned to the dark side and I wanna know what my childhood was like. I want to know!”
An idea popped into your head.
“Hey, no need to yell. How about we just don’t worry about remembering and just create more memories. If you want to ask me questions while we’re at it, ask away. I declare that we go somewhere,” you said. Ben looked at you and raised his eyebrow. Then he smiled.
“Where?” He asked you. You smirked and stood up.
“My favorite place.”

Life—Poe Dameron x Reader
Here you rested, on the cold, hard ground. You felt light as a feather and your heart beat was slow and steady. The sky above you was calm and quiet as there was no more sign of the battle just fought.
‘We did it,’ your mind repeated to itself thousands of times. ‘The First Order is gone. We’ve finally won.’ Your vision was blurry and you can smell the smoke from your crashed X-Wing laying thirty feet away. Luckily enough, you were able to eject just before crashing and had a broken leg along with a nasty gash on your abdomen. You were lucky to have injuries that you could recover from, that is if you were found in time.
Your side ached as you coughed and your adrenaline high was vanishing, making the reality of this situation even more serious.
‘I gotta find help.’
You sat up slowly and assessed the damage done to your body. The left side of your abdomen had a large hunk of metal lodged into it and your right leg was bent in a way that it should not have been able to do. On the ground to your right were some shrapnel and you knew from basic training how to create a splint. You took a few deep breathes before moving your leg so that it was in the correct position. You yelled in agony at the movement and was immediately launched into survival mode.
--
“Where is (y/n)?” Poe asked through the radio system while piloting his X-Wing over the battle field. He had known that this battle was rough, but he couldn’t stomach the thought that you might be dead. After a few moments of silence, Veronika answered.
“I saw her go down, Poe. Haven’t been able to check it out because I’m low on fuel.”
Poe’s heart sank. He had to find you, whether you were dead or alive. No man left behind was Poe’s motto and he will be damned if he goes against it.
Exogol was a bland planet and there was only so much that could be used to hide a downed ship. Sure, all of those ships that Palpatine resurrected crashed down, but from what Veronica specified, you went down far off of where any of those ships would be.
Poe flew to where it was said you were and he saw your X-Wing. It was on fire and it could bare my be called something that flies anymore. Poe was beginning to panic and he landed by your ship.
“(Y/ n)! Where are you?!” He yelled. He then walked around the damage and noticed that your seat wasn’t there.
‘She ejected, of course!’
Poe pulled out his binoculars and surveyed the area for anything the would resemble a person. In the distance he noticed something red, something to contrast with the bland gray of this foresaken planet. He began running.
—
Consciousness is a funny thing, really. When you’re conscious, you’re not totally aware of how fragile and malleable your life is—only focusing on what’s happening now. But when you become unconscious, there is no awareness, there isn’t anything. Not black, not empty, just nothing. You kept thinking about your fate and contemplating the wonders of life between your cycles of going unconscious. It was philosophical and a point for you to focus on what was important.
“(Y/n),” you heard someone say, no, yell. It was a deep voice, one you had recognized. Your eyes began to drool again as you heard footsteps. He pat your face to wake you up and you saw, through blurry vision, that it was Poe. “Poe.”
“Come on, you have to stay awake so we can get you home. You need to come home,” he said, tears threatening to escape his eyes. He took off the shirt he was wearing and wrapped it under your body and around the wound tightly. You were so out of it that it didn’t hurt that much. He lifted you and ran to his ship.
“We won, Poe,” you said softly, chuckling in the process. You were happy for that and now that the help found you, you were ready to fight to live. “We really stuck it to him.”
“Yeah, we did. Are you comfortable?” He asked. Poe has placed you into the cargo hold immediately behind the cockpit. He placed a headset on your head and then strapped you in tight. You hummed.
“I’m going to get you home, but you have to talk to me,” he said as he began the ship. It lifted up and Poe immediately warped to light speed.
“I’ve been thinking about everything and nothing. The mechanisms of life is a mystery and now that I’m near death, I can focus on how clear it really can be,” you stated. To Poe, it just sounding like some ramblings coming from too much blood loss, but to you, you now knew what the purpose of life was.
“Explain it to me,” Poe said. You smiled and hummed once more. You were in nirvana. “Let’s hear it (n/n).”
“We only live to die. Why do we fear it when it is the most natural thing to happen to everyone?” You paused, relishing in the moment and looking for your words. “We live our lives to be happy, to be productive, to be ourselves. All of it is natural. So no one should fear the inevitable.”
You were so tired when the ship landed. Your eyes were struggling to stay open and the next moments all happened in a haze. Were you being carried off or floating away? Was Poe around? How’d you get here?
—
Poe was a mess. He was worried for your well being and it inhibited the celebration of victory. There was nothing that he could do after dropping you off in the infirmary except to wait. The state that you were in when he left you was on the very edge of death. You were confused and rambling about the force, Palpatine, and the deeper meaning to life. To a healthy person, it didn’t make sense.
It had been two hours before the doctor informed Poe about what happened in the operation and what he had to do to make you better. It was a tedious operation and it included several blood transfusions to get you through it. The recovery process should be easy to get through since it was a lot of bed rest. Now only to wait for you to wake up.
—
“What happened? Where am I?” You asked. Your voice was hoarse and you were cold. “I’m cold.”
“Good to see you awake. Your in the infirmary on the base. How much do you remember?” Poe gathered you another blanket as you answered his question.
“I remember launching off and following everyone to Exogol, but I don’t remember anything that happened after that,” you grumbled. The extra blanket brought the warmth that you needed. As you moved to bring it up, you felt the pain in your stomach and the stiffness of your leg.
“You got hit, but before you crashed, you ejected and ended up getting a really deep gash and a broken leg. You lost a lot of blood. I thought you were going to die because of how much you were rambling. There was a while on the way back when I thought you were gone, but then you began to ramble again. I’m glad you’re here right now, I don’t know what I would do without you. The doctor said that once you’re checked out, you can go rest at home. Oh, and we won.” You were in awe of all that had happened.
“Oh you’re finally awake,” the doctor came in. “Let’s just change your bandages and then I’ll send you on your way.”
After your check up, Poe helped you into the wheel chair and pushed you to your room. He helped you into your bed and put the crutches within your reach so that you could be mobile. You were tired.
“If you need anything, call me and I’ll come. Now sleep,” Poe said as he placed a telecom onto your desks and stroked your hair. You smiled as you fell asleep in the presence of your man.
“I love you, (y/n).”

How Long?--Ben Solo x Reader: Part 1
Spoilers for the Rise of Skywalker
ALSO In this Ben survived and didn’t kiss Rey.
--
“(y/n), I’m being sent away to train with my uncle,” Ben said quietly. You looked deeply into his brown eyes with an almost sad face. “Don’t look at me like that. I’ll be back before you know it.”
“How long will that be?” You asked him, not wanting him to go. You realized that this day would come eventually, but you never thought that it would be so soon. You wanted him to fulfill his destiny and do what he was supposed to do, but it still stung. You both were barely seventeen and had been friends since you were kids. You couldn’t imagine your life without Ben.
“I’m not sure. But it will go by quick—I’m sure of it.”
—
You thought about him everyday, mourning for him. Ben wouldn’t be so easily seduced by the dark side and he surely wouldn’t kill his own father. You missed him. He was your go-to, he was your best friend. Some might even say that you two were soul mates. Of course, you didn’t admit your attraction to him before he left and the chances of him finding out now are slim to none.
After his turn to the dark side, you joined the Resistance, as General Organa had asked you to, and ever since, you have worked hard to fight for what’s right. Your pain from losing your best friend was deep, but so was the small sliver of hope that Kylo Ren would come to an end and that Ben would come back.
I will wait for Ben for as long as it takes. Even if he never comes back at all.” Your conscience spoke. “Everything is all right, it is the way it is supposed to be.
The sound of the Millennium Falcon landing snapped you out of your thoughts. This battle was won, but there was still a long way until this war would end. Out of the Falcon first came Chewbacca, then Poe, and then Rey and Finn. Everyone knew that Han was gone, but no one mourned since they each had a mission to complete.
“(y/n), will you help me unload the falcon?” Poe had asked you. You nodded and ventured into the ship.
—
It had been years since the battle has begun and even though there were highs and lows, it’s finally over.
We won. The resistance had won, but at what cost? Rey defeated Palpatine with the help of Ben and when you saw her X-wing land, you noticed that someone was with her. He was injured, so much that he couldn’t walk on his own and that he wasn’t conscious, but he was alive. Ben was back, he had returned. A giant smile appeared on your face and you ran over and helped Rey take him out of the ship.
“Rey, is he really back?” You asked her, tears of happiness welling in your eyes. Rey smiled. Ever since she came to the Resistance, you both clicked. There were no awkward pauses, just comfortable silences. She knew all about your troubles and all about how your relationship with Ben was.
“Yeah, he’s really back. Let’s get him to a room, he needs to rest up—his life force is extremely weak.”
“He’ll be safe in my room,” you retorted, excited for him to wake up. Everyone around you was too distracted by the celebration as you and Rey brought the unconscious man to your room.
You unlocked the door and laid him down on your bed.
“How long will it take?” Rey placed her hand on his arm and closed her eyes. She focused on him for about a minute and then opened her eyes.
“I would say at least a few hours. A lot happened on Exogol, and it’d be best to let him wake up on his own. Come, let’s go celebrate with the rest of the resistance!”
“You go on, I’ll meet you in five minutes, by the old tree.” Rey nodded and left the room. You got out your notepad and wrote down a few words to Ben if he were to wake up. You taped the note on the back of the door and walked over to his resting place. He looked so calm and peaceful. The dark circles under his eyes let you know how tired he had been and his many scars showed the journey that he had been on. You moved some of his hair away from his face and kissed his forehead. “I’ll be back later, Ben.”
—
You returned to your room from the celebration and Ben was still asleep. To say that you were getting antsy was an understatement. Even though you were tired, the thought of sleeping didn’t appeal to you right now.
You sat down onto your desk chair and pulled yourself closer to the desk. You then pulled out a (f/c) notebook that was worn and old and you flipped through the pages.
“My dear, dear, journal,
Today has been one that I will never forget; I flew my first ship! This day has been long in the making and I am so excited to begin this journey into becoming a pilot. The ship was a Virago. It is my goal to one day fly an X-wing like the Rebels back in the day...”
“What is up, my dude?
A lot has been happening lately. I’m unsure of everything that has been happening lately. My best friend has left the everyone he knows to join the dark side and assist in the oppression that is the First Order. It feels like a part of me has been ripped out..”
“Hey journal, it’s me,
Leia asked me today to join the resistance, and I said yes. She wants me to be a pilot for the cause and I know I’ll be treated well. Here’s to a new start.”
Everything that you have written since you were a child were flashing before your eyes and memories from these events flooded your memory. You grabbed a pen and began writing everything that was on your mind. You wrote about the victory, about the celebration, about how Lando recruited a whole fleet just in the nick of time! But most importantly, you wrote about Ben.
“The General would be so proud of Ben right now. I’m sure she is happy, wherever she is. She has become one with the force and is aware of everything now...”
A rustling halted your momentum and you looked over and noticed that Ben turned onto his side. We will see each other soon.

Drunken Confessions---Boba Fett x Reader
Jabba's palace was just as dirty as when you made your previous visit. You armor rattled as you lead your next bounty to their doom. It was a hustler who had a bounty of 10,000 galactic credits and you had to hop on this assignment. His name was Leon Sandwell and at the moment, he was beat up pretty badly.
The tether to your prisoner slacked once you stopped in front of Jabba and a few of his slaves.
"Ah, (Y/N), choy? Have u brought tah je today?" He asked you, his mouth spewing some spit onto the unlucky person standing beside him. Your huttese was a bit rusty, but you understood the general question that he asked.
"Leon Sandwell," you replied as you took off the cloth bag covering his head. The crowd before you gasped as they witnessed the injuries that you had caused to Leon's face--both eyes bruised, a busted lip, and various cuts along his forehead. Out of the shadows stepped out your long time friend and fellow bounty hunter, Boba Fett. Although you couldn't see them, your eyes locked and you didn't realize that one of Hutt's henchmen came to exchange the money for the prisoner.
"Thanks," you said as you walked out of the lair of the infamous Jabba the Hutt.
"You never cease to amaze me, (Y/N). It's been a while. Why don't we go catch up somewhere?" Boba Fett had asked after catching up with you. You placed your hand on your chin and looked up in thought. The suns were about to set and you didn't have any other bounties to go on.
"Sure."
***
Fett brought you to a busy club that was full of beings from all over the galaxy. Music resonated throughout the building and the stench of sweat, cologne, and alcohol clouded your nose. Of course Boba would bring you here.
The both of you walked through a door and inside were several booths that could fit at least 10 people. These booths were caged in by walls to ensure that guests had privacy. The music from the other room could still be heard in here, but it wasn't deafening. In the corner of the room was a bar with a few bartenders. One of the bartenders nodded to Boba in acknowledgement. You sat in the booth closest to the bar which, coincidentally, was the farthest from the door. In the center of your round booth rested a table with a medium sized green button in the center. One of the bartenders came over.
"It's been a while, Boba Fett. What can I get the both of you?" The bartender quizzed.
"We'll have beer, Charlie," Boba answered. You nodded in agreeance and Charlie walked away to get your drinks. Boba took off his helmet.
You couldn't help but to stare at your comrade. It had been so long since you've seen his face that you practically forgot what it looked like. There were more scars and it looks like Boba had not been getting enough sleep.
"So, how's life been treating you?"
***
"Unacceptable," you blabbered, the beer obviously having taken its role as an intoxicant. "You are not sleeping in your ship. You're coming home with me. Now come on."
Boba Fett smirked and put on his helmet. Unbeknownst to you, Boba wasn't as drunk as you were. He chuckled at your persistence and decided to humor you by walking you back to your home.
It took fifteen minites to walk back to your house and those fifteen minutes were some of the most joyous times that Boba Fett had had in a long time. You clung onto Boba for support several times and you rambled to him about various topics--including, but not limited to, your recent bounties and how good you were at fighting.
You crashed down onto your bed and Boba had to help you up onto your feet for the thousandth time tonight.
"Come on (N/N), let's get you out of this armor and into your pajamas," Boba stated. You nodded your head and walked to your dresser where you threw off your armor, set your weapons down, and changed into your night clothes. Boba pulled back the sheets on your bed and you crawled in, desperately wishing for sleep. You grabbed onto Boba's arm as he was about to leave.
"Stay with me. Please," you pleaded to your closest friend and crush. Boba sighed and took off his helmet and armor, leaving him in a T-shirt and spandex shorts. He laid down next to you and pulled the blanket up as you gravitated to him, your arms wrapping around his torso and your head resting on his chest.
"I really like you, Boba, and I just thought you should know," you mumbled. He smiled and rubbed your back, soothing you to sleep.
***
You woke up and all you could feel was warmth and comfort. You pulled the blanket closer to your chin and sighed before feeling movement around your waist. You stiffened and turn your head to see the one and only Boba Fett. Carefully, you turned and watched him as he slept, not wanting him to be woken up. Snores emanated from his nose and his mouth was wide open. This had to be the deepest that he's slept in a long time. Some more shifting occurred and Boba's eyes opened and locked with yours. A small smile creeped onto his lips and he pulled you close to him.
"What happened last night?" You asked him, confused as to why you were both sleeping in your bed. He released you, but kept his hands on you waist.
"Well," he coughed, "you didn't want to be alone and then you confessed your love for me." You began blushing and sighed, hoping that your big mouth didn't ruin your friendship.
"And now that your sober, I wanted to tell you that I am fond of you as well. I have been for a while. Want to go on a date some time?" A large smile spread across your cheeks and you placed a hand onto Boba's cheek.
"I would like that a lot."

Inky--Kylo Ren x Reader
"I would like this on the inside of my wrist please," you stated kindly, handing him the picture of the small black anchor. His rough and calloused hands grasped the sheet before bringing it in front of his face, studying it carefully. A small smile appeared on his face as he stood and motioned for you to follow his lead.
"Is this your first tattoo?" He asked as you sat down in a cushion red chair. Kylo, your artist, sat opposite of you, tracing the image onto the transfer paper. You squirmed in your seat slightly, the nerves beginning to make you anxious.
"Yes, actually. What gave it away?" You asked, chuckling quietly to yourself. You looked around at the shop and noticed that there were a few more artists at the desk, either drawing or talking to each other. Kylo smiled wider as he began to prep his area of work. He wiped down the stainless steel table before taping a sheet of plastic wrap on top of it.
"Well for starters, you have been avoiding eye contact with me and you're fidgeting your hands as we speak," he said as he looked to you. Silently, he placed gloves onto his hands and an ink cup onto the plastic wrap before filling it with ink. Kylo then brought out his tattoo machine and began to place the needles needed to for the tattoo into it.
"No need to worry, it's not as bad as you think and besides, you're in good hands," you gave a hearty laugh to his pun. Next, Kylo shaved and cleaned the area that you wanted the tattoo. It was then that you noticed the sleeve that he had on his arm. It contained images of an old man, some trees, and other seemingly miscellaneous object in bright bold colors.
"You ready?" He asked, pulling you of your daze. You took a deep breath and nodded, now noticing he had already placed the stencil onto your wrist. The machine turned on and the constant buzz filled your ears. You watched as it got closer to your arm and then suddenly, you were being impaled repeatedly. The sensation felt odd--as if a cat was scratching you--and you were surprised by how anticlimactic this pain was.
"This isn't too bad," you stated, releasing the breath that you were holding.
"And with that, you are now on the road to filling your skin with pieces of art forever," Kylo said with a triumphant smirk.
"I don't think so, I'm only getting this one to honor my mom. I don't think that I can commit to putting anything else on my body," you said, feeling as the pain was getting slightly worse. You watched as Kylo outlined the part of the anchor that was right obove your vein.
"Is this the tattoo your mom has?" He asked, pulling away from your arm to give you a small break. The skin was pink, but on your wrist was the outline of the anchor.
"Had. She passed away a year ago and I thought I should get her tattoo," you said somberly. Kylo then began shading in your tattoo which was slightly more painful, but bearable.
"Sorry to hear that. I started my sleeve after my grandfather passed away. We were really close and when he died, I was in a really bad spot in my life. I started my sleeve as a way of coping with it, I guess, because it's mainly of the things he used to enjoy," he began. "I'm about to get a tattoo in rememberance of my father, actually. We weren't that close, but I still loved him."
Kylo seemed down as he finished your tattoo, putting some soothing gel onto it and wrapping it. After giving you care instructions and having you pay for it, he bid you a nice day. The confusion on his face was expected when you didn't leave.
"Wanna get some coffee sometime?" You asked boldly. Kylo's confusion turned into surprise and then into a kind smile. Nodding, he wrote down his number before handing you the piece of paper.
"Sure. Call me anytime," he said before leavinf the front desk and walking away, giddy. You smiled as you exited the shop and looked at the paper.

I Don't Like Cheese: Rant
Ok, so at one point in my life, I was told that I loved cheese, but one day, I just stopped eating it. I must have been a small child due to not remembering ever eating cheese willingly. Nowadays, the only cheese that I’ll eat come in the form of things such as cheetos, cheez-its, etc. I don’t even like cheese on my pizza or on burgers. The smell of cheese just puts me off from it totally as does the thought that some cheese has mold and it’s totally acceptable and safe to eat. Another food that I don’t enjoy is white rice, but if I had to choose between white rice and cheese, I’d gladly choose white rice over the cheese any day, so it’s not like I’m writing this to say that I won’t eat it just because I don’t like it.
The reason that I’m writing this is to alleviate my stress of this burden because it seems to me that I’m the only one that cannot stand cheese. It feels unfair that I’m not allowed to not like cheese while my friend is allowed to not like onions. It feels as though it’s more acceptable to not like onions because a lot of people don’t eat onions (I suppose. I’ve heard of more people disliking onions than disliking cheese).
I come from a family of cheese lovers. All of them–my parents, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins–love cheese like it’s their life source. They always praise cheese and always question me on why I don’t like it. It bothers me how they always pester me about it because they don’t give anyone else a hard time about what they don’t like to eat.
I know that I’m making myself sound picky and you can think of this in any way you want to. But just hear me out when I say that you shouldn’t constantly hound over someone when they don’t like a certain thing. It could impact them when everyone always pounds them with the questions that they’ve heard a thousand times–how can you not like it, it’s cheese! What don’t you like about it? What about pizza? Try this!–Do you know how old this gets coming from the same people? Or how annoying it is when you’re know as the girl who hates cheese? I should start seeing my dad as the one who doesn’t like brussel sprouts or my brother as the one who doesn’t like onions.
I have gotten to the point where I have been prepared with walking out of the house if someone in my family has continued to bring this subject on just because they thought it was funny. Dramatic, I know, but I’m sick of hearing it. With my friends, I’m a little more forgiving since they don’t see me as much as I see my family.
One thing that has arisen from this ordeal is that I fear telling others that I don’t like cheese. It’s the fear of being patronized that makes me keep this to myself unless absolutely necessary. What I have learned from my personal experience is to not judge people based on their food preferences alone.
I always get told that I’m going to grow out of it eventually, but I’m 18 years old now. I haven’t liked cheese for at least 14 years of my life. I just long for the day when cheese will actually be appealing to me so that this torture will stop and so that I can actually feel like a normal person for liking it–if such a time ever comes. I just want to be accepted and not harassed. I don’t want to be tortured anymore.
If you receive anything out of reading this, please know that I, a cheese-hater, hate to be discriminated for what I don’t like just because it’s cheese. If you point out my cheese-less diet, please make it a point to draw out everyone else’s undesired foods so that they may feel as vulnerable and as insecure as I do. Please know that a person can’t help what they do and dont like to eat and please know that others may feel the same way as me.
If there’s anyone reading this who feels the same way as I do, you’re not alone.
