fool for you: part two; reminder
read part one here!
neteyam x f! metkayina reader
I listened to the song reminder by the weeknd while writing this.
neteyam and reader are aged up but dni if you are a literal perv adult.
about: tensions between neteyam and y/n were heavy but suddenly neteyam’s interest in the girl has plummeted, at least thats how it seems. the girl couldn’t care less but wants to get a reaction so she begins to make a move on a different metkayina boy. what will unfold between the forest boy and ocean girl?
happy reading lovelies
-
A few days had passed by while Neteyam and I shared small glances at each other. Not a word was spoken about that night. It didn’t mean anything to me, I had more to worry about.
“I am leaving to gather some plants for mama” I informed Tsireya while rubbing a hand on top of her head earning a giggle out of her.
I walked out of the marui pod with a satchel to collect the medicinal plants my mother had asked me to gather. Thats when I saw Ateyo, a fellow metkayina boy who guarded the reef with his family of warriors.
He was dreamy, almost like a painting. The two of us had a thing a while ago but it never progressed. He smiled at me softly and I smiled back while moving a piece of hair out of my face.
He began walking towards me and I couldn’t help but wonder what he was going to say. From the corner of my vision I could see forest boy. Why not make this a little more fun? Ateyo embraced me into a hug and I wrapped my arms around him. We separated and I placed my hands onto his biceps while looking up at him.
“Long time no see” he stated politely. His hands trailed down to my waist and I played into it. I was just messing around, a bad habit of mine.
“Missed you. Where have you been?!” I exclaimed as a smile creeped onto my face. I moved away from him slowly creating a little space between us. I looked over to the side and met eyes with the boy as he played with Tuk, pretending to listen to her.
“Busy, there is a lot of tulkun hunting going on” he explained while I nodded. My heart sank thinking of the tulkun, our brothers and sisters in danger. What Ateyo did was so kind, and selfless. I couldn’t help but appreciate his character.
“Its good what you do for them, and us” I gestured toward the village while flashing him a small smile. He nodded and looked down while smiling, accepting the gratitude.
“I should go, I will see you around” I kissed his cheek, he wasn’t phased. He just stood there shaking his head with a cheeky smile. I had kissed his cheek among many other boys many times before. I enjoyed seeing the boys melt, It was quite funny.
Neteyam walked over after the boy had disappeared. His hair swinging around his shoulders lightly. The sound of the beads clashing together immediately gave him away.
“Who is that?” He asked while glaring at the boy who had just walked away.
“What’s it matter to you forest boy” I looked up at him with a knowing smirk as I placed the saddle over my ilus head.
“It doesn’t matter, I dont care” He rolled his eyes and I frowned sarcastically.
“Oh no! I am so sad” I ran a finger down my cheek, pretending to cry. The last thing I heard before diving was Neteyam taking a deep breath.
I scoffed, hopping onto my ilu and swimming away beyond the reef barrier. My mind thought of Neteyam’s face. He was observing me intently, I could feel his gaze burning down my frame as I spoke to Ateyo. The forest boy was jealous. I chuckled to myself as I approached the rocks where the plant grew.
I pulled my knife out of the woven holster around my hips and began cutting the plants from their roots.
An akula swam toward me rapidly. I swam under a rock just in time but it left a cut down my back as I squeezed under it. Blood polluted the water around me, the light crimson disappearing upwards into oblivion.
I called my ilu but nothing came of it. I couldn’t hide in here forever. I knew I had to get out eventually. Thats when I saw the other boy through a crack in the coral. My eyes went wide, what was Lo’ak doing past the reef?
I internally groaned, I had to do something to save him. I couldn’t just stand there and watch him get eaten. The akula swam towards him rapidly, he pulled his knife out as if it could harm the strong creature.
I closed my eyes, I couldn’t watch. Thats when a sharp pain hit me and I opened my eyes to a tulkun that had ran the akula into the rock I was hidden under. A few small cuts framed my face as my whole body pulsed with pain.
I swam over to Lo’ak watching him sink into the depth of the ocean. Using whatever power I had left I attempted to pull his body up to the surface. My eyes were hazy and my vision went black. Shit.
I woke up on what seemed to be a rock and looked over to see Lo’ak coughing up the salt water. I glared at him and slapped the back of his head.
“What are you doing out here?” I yelled as he held the back of his head and winced. He stared at me as if searching for a lie he could tell to make it all sound better.
“Ask your skxawng brother” he replied while groaning and climbing up higher on to the rocks. My eyes furrowed as I watched him. Suddenly the rocks exhaled and we both looked to each other with confusion. I went under the water and it was a tulkun.
I resurfaced and looked at Lo’ak with wide eyes. I knew who this was, this was Payakan. Growing up there were stories told about a tulkun who travelled alone because he was an outcast. He had a contraption attached to his fin which Lo’ak insisted I help him remove.
My mind was flooded with thousands of thoughts, we had to go back to the village. My father would kill me if I told him the forest boy had befriended Payakan out of all tulkuns.
“We must go back to the village, take us home” I signed to Payakan as we both grabbed his fin, gliding through the depth of the ocean.
Fear over took me as we approached the village, perhaps I didn’t have to tell my father. We came to an agreement that we wouldn’t mention Payakan. We would just say I went out there to forage when I saw Lo’ak, and I saved him. Simple as that.
Ateyo noticed us climbing over the barrier, he made his way over to help us out of the water.
“Eywa, you are hurt” he nodded his head toward my arm as I leaned on him to gain balance. I winced as the air dried around my cuts. He helped me onto his ilu and I sat there holding his waist tightly. He signaled his ilu forward swimming toward the village with Lo’ak following behind him.
We climbed up the dock as people gathered around us, at the center of it all was the sully family and my parents who pushed past everyone, making their way to the front of the crowd.
Ateyo made his way around, standing with his family, watching the chaos unfold.
My mothers eyes fell on to me, scanning the wounds. They then glared at Lo’ak. I quickly explained to make sure she didnt get upset with the boy, it wasn’t his fault that my brother was such a prick.
“Mother please, aonung sent him there, he stranded him. I found Lo’ak while gathering the plants” I explained with an honest tone. She looked at aonung and then to my father. Neteyam stared at me as he stood behind his father. Not a word came out of his mouth, his eyes trailed to see the damage.
“Is this true aonung” he looked over to the boy with his head hung low. Aonung nodded and I swear I could have tackled him to the ground and cut his eyes out of his head.
“My son is at fault, he will apologize” my father pushed down aonungs shoulder causing him to kneel to the sullys.
“No sir its not his fault, he tried to convince me not to” I glared over at Lo’ak who just shook his head in a light manner. I looked down at the ground staying silent. Jake dragged him away as my father grabbed my arm softly, he studied the cut across it and sighed.
“You are supposed to watch your brother” he lectured while looking down at me. I nodded my head and lowered my gaze.
“Sorry father” my voice was quiet, afraid to make matters worse than they were. He pushed ny shoulder lightly, turning me around, he moved my hair out of the way to see a cut across my back. I turned around instinctively. He didnt have to see that I was hurt, that would make him pity me, and I hated being pitied.
“Go now, get your wounds tended to” he demanded. I didn’t want to look up, I didn’t want to upset him further. I was completely frozen.
“Now!” He yelled and I jumped a little. I looked away and sniffled walking past him. Neteyam observed the scene from afar, I hadn’t noticed him standing there.
I suddenly felt someone grab my arm and I reached for my knife, pulling out in defense.
“Mawey y/n. It is just me” I looked up to see the boys face and his hand lowering mine. It was Neteyam. All of this going on and now I had to deal with him.
“How perfect. You have come to curse me with your presence yet again” I proclaimed while rolling my eyes and turning around to walk away. He followed me into the healing pod, that stupid skxawng.
“I know what it is like, disappointing your father” he called out. I turned back to look at him and kept walking. He didn’t know the half of it.
I walked into the pod, Neteyam entering behind me. He looked around eyeing everything.
“Y/n sit, I will help you” the lady smiled at me while putting her hand toward a small cot. I lowered my head as a sign of gratitude.
“I will take care of her” Neteyam interjected with a polite smile. An awkward silence fell into the room. The lady nodded and made her way out of the pod. I looked up at the dark blue skinned boy, giving him a death stare.
He grabbed the medicine and took a seat next to me, dipping his fingers into the small wooden bowl.
“Turn around” his voice was gentle yet assertive. I did as he said, grabbing my hair and pulling it to the front. I could his feel his eyes staring down my back. I didnt make anything of it though, just shifted slightly to pull him in a little more.
His hands began rubbing the ointment over my wounds gently. He pressed a little harder to make sure it was applied evenly. I winced and closed my eyes shut.
“What? You can not handle a little pain” I could imagine the smirk on his face forming. I turned around letting my hair hit my back.
“I do not need you to help me” my eyes could have shot daggers into his at this point. He chuckled lightly and placed the bowl down.
“Thank you for helping Lo’ak” he said as he put a hand on my thigh. His touch was sweet, almost gentle.
“It is my job. No need to thank me” I looked away and stood up, his gaze shifted to my hips, wandering lower until I began walking away.
He grabbed my hand forcing me to turn around. I looked down at his arm, sighing and looking back up at him with tired eyes. The look in his eyes was so welcoming. I found comfort in his gaze.
I needed a safe place to land, so many feelings danced between us. The pressure of being the eldest, the worry we constantly carried.
“Is that boy your..your mate?” The question caught me by surprise, a little. I knew he’d ask, It was just a matter of when.
“Just an old friend” I replied as I looked down at him. The roles had reversed, he was looking up at me now. A small grin appeared onto my face due to the irony of it all.
“I have many” I added on as I inched closer to him. His demeanor shifted, eyes becoming a little darker.
He looked up at me, his hand made contact with my thigh and I climbed into his lap, straddling him.
“What about new friends” he referred to himself as I looked into his eyes. My hands travelling onto his chest.
“I like them, a lot” I whispered into his ear. The next thing I did without thinking, I needed him to give me something, anything. I wanted to get my mind off of things and something in me knew he did too.
I brought my lips to his, touching them, barely. His mouth formed into a grin thinking he would finally get something out of me.
I pulled away, shifting in his lap to create some friction, his breath hitched as he glared at me.
“You do this with all your friends?” he asked with his chin held up. I placed my arms on his shoulders, fingers intertwining at the back of his neck.
“Maybe” I left room for guessing, leaving him wanting more. His hands rested on my waist while I looked into his eyes.
“You look pretty like this” he pointed out, his eyes looked up and down at the scene before him. He couldn’t help but smile a little. The chiefs daughter was sitting in his lap.
no distractions huh?
“So you admit it, you think I am pretty” I snickered laughing into his neck. He rolled his eyes thinking of what to respond with.
“Only sometimes” he responded while shrugging. He wrapped his arms around me further. Footsteps were heard approaching the pod. I quickly climbed off of him standing up striaght
“What are you doing in here boy” Jake walked in and I looked over to Neteyam.
“Thanking y/n…for Lo’ak” Jake looked between the two of us. Eyeing us down as he felt the tension in the air. He nodded his head and looked over at me. I gave him a small smile in hopes of reassuring him that nothing was going on.
As the two walked out Neteyam looked back at me, winking as he left. I caught myself smiling at the boy, I quickly looked forward shaking my head. Absolutely not, no way. I couldn’t actually catch feelings for him, ever.
our fathers would skin us.

fool for you
part two is here!
neteyam x f!metkayina reader
about: when a certain forest came to your village among the ocean you treated him coldly. only to figure out that hes nothing like what you had expected him to be. where will this lead you? (suggestive, sexual tension)
characters are aged up, dont be a weirdo!
happy reading
-
It was any other day on the island, the people of the forest were still present. Slowly but surely assimilating into the metkayina people, learning their ways step by step.
I still hadn’t warmed up to them, they were bringing their war to our people. Even besides that I never trusted people easily so I put up a cold front.
I walked into the sully’s tent with my younger sister Tsireya. Today we would take them to visit our spirit tree at eclipse. Kiri and tuk were already out in the water, playing on their ilus.
We were greeted by the youngest son Lo’ak who gravitated toward my sister. He embraced her into a hug, their smiles were ecstatic.
“Hi reya’s sister” I cringed at the nickname. Watching my little sister get close to a boy was odd, almost unsettling. I waved while huffing lightly.
“We will visit the spirit tree today, eclipse is soon” I said as my eyes trailed around looking for the other forest boy.
“You are looking for Neteyam aren’t you?” A smirk was plastered onto the young boys face. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t.
I gave him a glare and shook my head no.
“Why would I be looking for that skxawng” I scoffed as Tsireya and Lo’ak both stared at me with the same look in their eyes. I looked away from the pair and crossed my arms.
“Unbelievable” I whispered under my breath, rolling my eyes as the other sully boy walked in yawning. He had just woken up.
“Hurry up forest boy. No time for beauty sleep, though you could really use it” I looked at him with a look of pity and annoyance. How could be possibly be so ignorant. We had been waiting for him and he was busy relaxing.
“I think I will take my time, princess” he replied in a patronizing manner as he walked back into his area of the tent.
He smirked and shook his head as he walked away. I averted my gaze and started heading out. I exhaled deeply calling my ilu. He really had the nerve huh.
-
Neteyam wasnt completely oblivious to it, he knew the dissent y/n held towards him. but he was also in no place to be fooling around or entertaining the girls teasing.
His dad was clear with him on one thing, protect the family and have no distractions. If that meant stopping himself from staring at the chiefs daughter too long and bickering then
he was totally,
absolutely,
screwed.
-
I made my way to the spirit tree, the group following me on their ilus.
“This is the cove of the ancestors, our most sacred place” a bit of excitement lining my words. The group of sullys looked around, their yellow eyes lighting up.
Even after living on the island my entire life, the beauty it carried never got old. The fish swam through the water, their bright colors lighting it up with small jellyfish gliding in the water effortlessly.
Truthfully, my eyes were on Neteyam the whole time. I studied his expression. His eyes reflected the light of the water back at me. He looked at me and smirked and looked away as tuk called him to check something out.
He gave in to her small observation
“Wow tuk” the boy patted the young girls back. The gesture was sweet, the way he immediately shifted his attention to his little sister, he was caring.
He then slowly came up closer to me on his ilu as I looked away for a bit.
“I see I have an admirer” He called out while looking at me with his chin held high. What an egotistical moron.
“Me? Yeah you wish forest boy. I was just thinking about how one person could be, SO unbearable” I flashed a smile and gripped on to my ilu.
“Let’s get going!” I yelled leading the group down into the water.
I smiled as I watched each one of them close their eyes and drift away into the ancestral realm as they made tsaheylu with the great tree.
My eyes fell on kiri after a while, she was shaking uncontrollably, my scream was inaudible in the water as I made my way over to her. I pulled her body up to the surface with gentle hands. Everyone followed behind me, Neteyams eyes filled with worry. He grabbed her on to his ilu and blew breaths into her mouth.
“Is she breathing?” Rotxo asked over and over. A short silence filled the air.
Everyone waited for her to breathe, move, anything. She took a deep breath in and my heart beat slowed down with relief. Praise eywa.
“We have to take her back to the village” cried Tsireya, holding onto Lo’ak.
“Lets go! Let’s move!” Neteyam yelled as he darted past everyone holding his sister closely.
I quickly followed behind him, the girl was in trouble and it had happened on my watch. I climbed on to the dock calling for help. A few elders rushed by and carried Kiri away. Neytiri and Jake following after them. I held my head thinking of an explanation I could tell my father.
My gaze shifted as Neteyam walked away, his breath was pacing. One hand over his mouth, he looked traumatized. A slight feeling of pity overtook me.
“Are you alright?” I followed after him into his tent. He stopped in his tracks and turned his head.
“Dont act as if you care” his gaze was strong, a thousand feelings pent up in his mind. He scoffed and attempted to walk away. Here I was being nice, considerate even and he was still being this way.
“I am just trying to be nice” I responded putting a hand onto his shoulder, making him turn all the way around. He looked down at my face, his eyes wandering to my lips and then back to my blue orbs.
“You? Nice?” He laughed and looked away with that same stupid smirk across his face. He grabbed my wrist to move my hand off his shoulder. My expression shifted to a frustrated one.
I had been more than kind to him, teaching him my clans ways, watching over him as he learned. He acted like a baby who didn’t know what to do, coming to my village and making noise.
“You do not want to see how mean I can be forest boy” I said as I pulled my wrist out of his grasp. He looked down at me and furrowed his eyes while smiling. God that smile would be the death of me. It was so inviting yet somehow frustrated me further.
“Yeah? Why dont you show me? I can handle it” His question was suggestive. Like he was hinting at something I couldn’t put my finger on. I mean I could, with the way he was looking at me as I stood there, my words were pushing him away but my body language was inviting him in.
I stared into his eyes not knowing what to say, he looked into both of my eyes. I put up an angry front, holding my ground, barely. No words came out of my mouth, I glanced at his lips and then back into his eyes.
“Smart choice” he said as towered over me and came closer. I gave him a look of disgust and placed a hand onto his chest.
“Do me a favor? Never ever do that again” I retorted blatantly, pushing him to the side. His head turned to look at me as I walked out. His eyes scanning every move, the way I walked to the way my hair hit my back.
-
The last thing the boy needed was a distraction, yet there she was. Distracting him from everything. In fact, y/n was exactly what he wanted, someone to tough it out with, someone to take his mind off all the things he was obligated to worry about.
His mind replayed the image of the chiefs daughter looking up at him, those innocent eyes filled with rage. Something about him being the reason for her anger made him want to cause it more.
What harm could it do? It was just a little bit of fun.
-
I made my way to the healing grounds where they had taken Kiri. My mother sat by her bedside, attempting to heal the girl. I grabbed more medicinal herbs to help out.
Kiri’s eyes fluttered open as she looked around with confusion. She called out for her mother and reached for something, anything.
Neytiri came and caressed her face, holding her close. My mother placed a hand on my shoulder signaling me to follow her out of the tent. I walked out behind her as we walked home.
“What happened to the girl?” I stayed silent not knowing what to say, I honestly had no idea. I had to say something, anything to explain.
“She just fell sick, I was keeping an eye on them the whole time I promise mother” she nodded and walked into the tent.
I grabbed the objects from my mothers hands and placed them onto the ground. She walked into the other room and closed it behind her with a large piece of cloth.
The silence was either an understanding one or one that meant she was disappointed. There was no telling.
I sighed deeply and decided to go for my nightly walk to a small cave near the water, the shore barely washing up near it.
The stress of being the chief’s eldest was bad enough and now I had more duties worry about. That stupid sully boy, eywa was he irritating.
I lied on the ground of the cave and stared at all the plants in front of my eyes. The moss shifted hues and the vines that hung glowed a soft green. The waves that washed up to the shore were soothing in a way that was unexplainable. They brought me back to my feet every time I felt as if I was going to fall.
I heard footsteps approaching and my ears twitched slightly. No one ever came here, it was my spot. Always my spot. I propped myself up onto my elbows and looked at the sight in front of me. Neteyam was walking over with his head hung low. Not noticing my presence until I cleared my throat.
He breathed in and licked his lips, thinking of what to say.
“Great. Your skxawng ass has returned to disturb my peace” I groaned at the boy as he glared at me.
“I didn’t know you would be here kurkung (asshole)” he lied down next to me sighing deeply.
“This spot belongs to me. Always has” I remarked. He looked in front of him, the water slowly rushing in and out, barely reaching the two of us.
“Why are you such a raging, little…bitch?” He retaliated as his head turned to look at me. My eyes went wide as I got up to punch him in the face.
He reacted rather quickly grabbing both my wrists. I fought back but, his strength overthrew mine. He pinned each of my hands down next to my head as he stared into my eyes. He was even more intriguing from this angle, I felt my heart skip a beat. Ew.
I stole another glance at his lips and then tried to get out of his grasp again. I really wasn’t trying as hard as I could’ve, I was enjoying this.
“Bite me sully” I spat out with a scowl, he chuckled looking up for a second.
“Is that what all this is about? The chief’s daughter likes me does she not?” He stared at me with a grin, looking away and then back into my eyes.
I stared into his eyes innocently, as his face inched closer to mine. That look drove him crazy. He knew exactly what I was doing. Shit, his lips were so kissable. My breath hitched as his lips grazed over mine.
“I can give it to you y/n” he leaned in and whispered into my ear. His fingers intertwined with mine as he stared into my eyes again.
“Give me what Neteyam?” I looked into his eyes, he glanced at my lips as his name rolled off my tongue.
“The feeling of disgust?” I asked while smirking against his lips, he took a deep breath and looked over to the side letting go of my hands. He shook his head and then looked back into my eyes.
“You dont deserve it” the boy objected. there it was again, the same patronizing tone. I rolled my eyes and watched as he walked away. What an asshole.
If he wanted to be a sick tease so could I.
two can play that game.

When he finds you singing.
Wc: 0.5k
GIF is not mine, credits to the owner!
Tumblr media
Moving your eyes shut as you breathed in the forest air, you soon exhaled through your mouth after a few moments. Your ears flickered as you heard the noises of nature surrounding you.
You were sat on the grass, your fingers skimming over the ground.
There was a beautiful river by your area, the rustling of the waves acting like white noise as you could spot some fishes swimming through.
Deciding to take some time to yourself today, you always find yourself in this spot, often times you would do your hobbies here, including weaving.
But now, you haven’t got anything with you except your dagger strapped to your side, in case any unwanted scenarios happen. You sigh.
Then you remembered another hobby of yours that you just mainly kept to yourself, soon enough you started humming.
Shortly after, you were singing. For the most part, you didn’t really consider yourself a great singer, but singing had also become a way to relieve any kind of stress you had, whether it be a horrible day or you just wanted to sing your heart out.
You closed your eyes, getting to the middle part of the song, feeling the vibrations in your throat.
Without your knowledge, there was a pair of eyes looking at you from behind, hidden behind a tree.
Alas, you continued, smiling as you were nearing the end of the song.
The hunter watching you was taken, as if he’d never heard quite a voice like that before. It was like he was being blessed by the spirits.
Its like the tensions he felt in his body was suddenly lifted off.
Then you finished, deciding to hold the tone out for a few more seconds.
Letting out a deep breath, you smiled.
The Na’vi could feel the edge of his lip curling into a smile, shaking his head. Then he made the move to approach his mate.
Once you were preparing yourself to stand up to return to the village, you heard a twig snap from behind, making your ears perk up as your head snapped towards the direction of the noise.
Seeing his face had your eyes widen and your mouth dropping open in surprise.
“Tsu’tey?” You utter.
“I did not know you could sing that well.” Was the first thing he said, coming closer to you.
You suddenly felt little. You looked down, avoiding his gaze. “You heard all of that? I thought you were out for a hunt—”
“I was. But I heard this voice singing, never thought it would be you.” Tsu’tey admitted, moving his fingers to your chin, he slowly lifts your chin up, making you look at him as he retracted his finger.
“Why did you not tell me?”
“I have never really told anyone.” You said, looking at his sharp features.
His face scrunched into a light confusion before nodding. “But you are good, ma (Y/N).”
Your heart spiked at his compliment.
“Thank you.” You reply.
Tsu’tey softly places his hand on the small of your back. “I see you are headed back, why won’t you sing for me as we walk, yawntutsyìp? (darling?).”
You opened your mouth but you felt your cheeks rush with warmth.
“How can I not say no to that?”
Tsu’tey gives you a warm grin as he leans in to nuzzle his forehead to the side of your head, planting a feather-light kiss.
Finding satisfaction in his showing of affection, you find yourself holding onto his arm as you two stroll back to the village, with Tsu’tey in awe as you sang for him.

“I have somewhere I want to show you” Neteyam says.
He grabs your hand and leads you to his ikran, and you call yours to you. When you hear her response from above you look up to see your beautiful girl as she lands in front of you.
Neteyam watches you as you admire your ikran, he has always adored the way you care for the na’vi and all of Eywa’s creations. How could you just stare and something and look so damn beautiful he wonders.
You and Neteyam have recently mated and you couldn’t be happier with the life is treating you right now. Waking up next to him, flying with him, even the simple things like hunting for food with him. Everything has more meaning now that you two are together. Bonded. Mated for life.
“What is this all about my love, where are you taking me?” you ask eyes full of curiosity and love for your mate. He hops onto his ikran and you follow his movements. “You will see when we get there y/n, it is a place i’ve discovered and I want to share it with you.” He replies with a smirk on his face, and with that you’re off.
You fly with him side by side, admiring his sun kissed face and the wind blowing through his hair. Occasionally drifting your ikran into his, earning a laugh from him. You’ve been flying for at least 45 minutes and don’t recognize the new area you’re in, nothing but the lush forest beneath you.
“We’re here!” He yells over the loud sound of wind in your ears. His ikran dives into what looks like just trees. What is this boy up to you think to yourself. It isn’t until you follow and break the forrest barrier of trees that you realize where he has lead you.
A gasp escapes your lips as you break the bond between yourself and your ikran. Looking around you see the bioluminescence of Pandora’s plant life underneath the moonlight and a beautiful fresh waterfall and spring. Overwhelmed by the beauty of where you are you turn to your beloved Neteyam to find he’s already looking at you. He grabs your hands in his bringing them to his lips, planting a short and sweet kiss. “I discovered this place hunting one night and I immediately knew that I had to share it with you.” Neteyam says with the most pure smile on his face staring into your eyes. “My Neteyam… it is gorgeous I-” You can’t even be bothered to complete your sentence as you take in that you are truly here, with him. Neteyam releases your hands and places his firmly your waist, pulling you into a sweet kiss. Your lips part and you rest your forehead on his.
“I see you y/n.”
“I see you Neteyam.”
Playfulness possesses your body as you run to the body of water, diving in head first. Neteyam following right behind you. You rise from the water with a splash and don’t see your mate, confused by this as you don’t see him anywhere else. That is until you feel yourself being lifted in the water from below siting on Neteyams shoulders. “AAARRRHHHHH” He growls trying to imitate an animal of some sort, a laugh exploding from you as he leans back dropping you into the water.
Times like this remind you of simpler times. The memories of you two growing up and having play dates without a care in the world. After a while of swimming you and Neteyam find yourselves sitting on the edge of the pool. Admiring him as the light shoots diamonds from his eyes reflecting the bioluminescence of the forest. “Y/n I am so happy to be here with you right now and share the beauty of our planet with you, I just- I just love you so much and I just can’t see myself with anyone else but you. I wake up and thank Eywa for you each day.” He says with a hand on the side of your face and the other resting on your thigh. Feeling heat in your face from his words you look down at the water, his hand then cups your chin forcing you to look at him. His eyes are filled with nothing but adoration and love for his perfect mate. You. “Aw Neteyam.” You sigh. “I love you too, thank you for showing me this place. I thank Eywa everyday for you as well.” You scoot closer to him, head resting on his shoulder looking at the area around you with his arm around you. Hand rubbing small shapes onto your arm. “I can not wait to show our kids this place someday.” He says

Let You Live.
spider socorro x f!omaticaya reader
haven’t seen many fics of my baby spider, so i will be writing for spider while i gather some ideas for my neteyam fics.
everyone is aged up and y/n is a year younger than spider and lo’ak, they are the same age in this.
about: based on this wonderful song (linked). warnings: angst, mentions of harassment, light fluff
happy reading!
-
Spider and lo’ak were practically inseparable growing up. They were always together, getting into any kind of trouble they could.
The one person who always followed them around was you. Anywhere they went you would follow, threatening to tell neteyam or offering to do lo’aks duties for a week.
The truth is, you loved hanging around spider. You weren’t just irritating your older brother for no reason. Even though he always teased you with lo’ak, his love for the forest and something about his playful demeanor drew you in.
Eventually it was pretty obvious how you felt toward spider but there was nothing you could say because it was forbidden, he was a human.
Many boys in the clan admired you, practically dreaming of being your suitor since you were the daughter of toruk makto.
Spider never let you see his interest in you so you figured you had to move on. Being with him just wasn’t realistic anymore, for various reasons. You would be expected to choose a mate and you had to bring respect to your family’s name. but eywa…he was all you ever thought about.
He knew that you found interest in him, he wasn’t oblivious to it. He also knew he was human and there was so many things that wouldn’t work between you two. For eywa’s sake, you were his bestfriends little sister. Strictly off limits. Neteyam would skin him for ever looking at you that way, good thing no one could read minds.
He concealed his love for you, he stopped himself from smiling at you as much, he never showed any reciprocation of your feelings.
It pained you but you figured he would always just think of you as a friend, the way he saw your brothers.
-
“Hey spider, wanna go foraging with me? Mom wants me to collect berries and id rather not go alone” you yelled, standing outside the hut, holding a wooden bowl and a small knife.
Spider made his way out of the tent when suddenly someone else came to take his place.
“Ill go with you” a familiar voice creeped up behind you.
You immediately recognized the voice, Noxus, a friend who had a little bit more than just that on his mind.
Spider watched as the boy put an arm around your waist, his jaw clenched. He stood there, unconsciously flexing his muscles a little to show his strength.
He began trying to walk you away from Spider, his grip on your waist tightening as you two shared a laugh.
“I can take her” Spider walked up to him, removing his hand. He flashed a smile at the boy who stared him down. He walked over to you, patting your back to go forward.
It always conflicted you when he did things like this. The times he did slip up with his feelings were so obvious, you knew his actions occurred for a reason.
Then again, maybe he was just being protective because your brothers would have done the same thing.
He followed behind you, watching as you walked into the forest. He couldn’t help but look you up and down. From the small red beads braided into your hair, to the anklet he had given you hanging loosely. He admired you from afar, you were perfect, as if sculpted by eywa herself.
You could feel his stare behind you, you turned slightly and felt his gaze avert. A nervousness grew in the pit of your stomach.
“Check if it is ripe” you picked a berry off a large bush and threw it to him. He caught it and looked over at you.
“Why should I be the one to eat it? What if its not ripe and its sour?” He argued as he looked at the berry discernably. You rolled your eyes and gave him an annoyed look.
“Okay, fine, ill eat it” he said as he placed it into his mouth. His face warped into the most disgusted one you had seen in the matter of seconds. He quickly spit it out and grabbed at the flask inside his satchel.
You watched with a satisfied grin, you knew that it wasn’t ripe. You’d picked these berries many times before. You stood silently trying to contain your laughter. He wiped his mouth after drinking some water and looked over at you.
He quickly flicked his hand with the flask in it, splashing you in the face with a smirk.
You couldn’t have possibly thought he’d let you get away with that.
“Spider!” You exclaimed as he laughed at you. You’d let him do it again honestly, just to hear him laugh.
“Oops” he shrugged as he walked past you. You groaned, fixing your wet hair, moving it out of your face.
“Skxawng” you whispered under your breath as you picked the berries and placed them into your bowl.
He watched as you gathered them, kicking around some branches on the ground. Raising his bow and aiming at absolutely nothing.
“You could help you know?” You glared over at him. He sighed and placed his bow down beside him. He walked over to you and knelt down grabbing for a berry.
You grabbed for the same one unknowingly, your hands slid past each other. The silence was deafening as you locked eyes. Shit.
This wasn’t the first time you had shared an awkward moment with each other. It happened a lot, but nothing was said, you both just moved on.
“Sorry” he said nervously while grabbing for a different one and looking away. You continued picking a few more berries as thoughts danced around your head.
You should just tell him how you feel, get it off your shoulders. You were carrying more than you were aware of. Keeping it a secret was weighing down on you.
“Spider..” you called out all of a sudden. His head turned to you, eyes meeting yours in response.
“Yeah?” He asked curiously. That look in your eyes spoke for you. He was practically waiting for the words to spill of your tongue.
“Nothing never mind” you said shaking your head. Yeah you could tell him but what would that even mean? It wouldn’t change anything, just make it more difficult.
There it was again, the silence that burned through the air. you looked away grabbing the wooden bowl full of berries and placing the knife on top of it.
“Say it y/n” he tensed up slightly, awaiting a response. letting those words escape his mouth could either be entirely great or a disaster.
“I told you, it is nothing” you bit your tongue, you always did. There’s no way he would ever see you that way.
You both made your way back home in silence. The absence of words spoke volumes. Side by side you walked, hands brushing against each other from time to time. You shared small glances, your left hand gripping onto the bowl a little tighter each time you caught him staring.
Once you made it back home you handed your mother the bowl and sat silently in the hut, fixing up a leather arm piece that Noxus had asked you to repair for him.
Lo’ak snatched it from your hands flailing it around in the air.
“Come on lo’ak this is not funny! It belongs to Noxus!” You yelled as you tried to grab it. You could kill him for how much he annoyed you.
He threw it over to Spider who ran around as you attempted to chase him. You groaned loudly as they passed it back and forth. Spider loved this, if he could he would rip it up into tiny pieces and feed it to a fire, but this would do.
The two eventually gave in and handed it back to you. You finished your work and made your way to meet Noxus in the forest where he had asked you to come by at eclipse, alone.
-
You walked down the branch, each step causing it to light up. It still mesmerized you how beautiful everything was after eclipse, even though you were forbidden to lurk the forest at this time. The only time you had left was with Spider, or Lo’ak and him.
Spider followed you as you sneaked out, he wanted to know where you were going at this hour and why.
You approached a figure and knew who it was immediately. A small smile was plastered onto the boys face.
“Y/n” he said with a smile, embracing you with a hug. He was a little touchy for your liking but you needed to get over Spider. You didn’t know where to start so you took the leap with Noxus.
You grabbed the arm piece from your satchel and held it up.
“I have fixed this up for you” you smiled politely as the boy put his arm out, signaling you to place it on him.
Your hands came around and tied the piece carefully to his arm. He smiled and looked into your eyes.
“How can I repay you?” he said as he rubbed up and down your arm slowly.
The sight made Spider’s blood boil inside of him. Was this guy seriously touching you after hanging around you for what? Two fucking weeks. He knew not to make his presence known, that would be a load of shit.
You looked over at the boys hand, your heart began racing. Not in a good way.
“I-I dont know” you smiled awkwardly, your voice was a little shaky.
“I have a few ways in mind” he gripped your waist, pulling you closer to him. Your hands rested on his chested as you looked up at him with a look of fear and nervousness.
“We should go back I dont want to get in trouble” you tried to talk your way out of whatever he had in mind. His hands snaked down lower, your hands pushing against his chest.
Thats when Spider had seen enough, he could read your expression clearly. He climbed out of the place he was hiding and ran. His veins were pumping a mixture of rage, jealousy and adrenaline throughout his body.
“She said she wants to go home” he yelled as he walked out from behind the tree. Noxus’ removed his hands knowing exactly who Spider was.
He put his hands up almost as if he was surrendering. A smirk lingered on his face almost like he could laugh.
Spider grabbed your hand and placed himself in front of you.
“What’s funny?” he questioned as he pushed the boy. His hand balled into a fist as he punched the young na’vi boy directly in the nose.
He knew his strength was little compared to that of a na’vi but he was relentless and angry.
“Awh!” Noxus groaned as he brought a hand up to his face. He quickly recovered tackling Spider and punching him back. You couldn’t watch as he was beaten. So you ran over and hopped on top of Noxus, punching his stupid face repeatedly.
“Stupid skxawng!” You yelled as you were thrown down to the ground. The boy quickly ran as you both pulled out your knives.
Around Spider you were so confident, you didn’t worry or get nervous. You’d do anything to protect him from harm.
Spider licked his bloody lip and brought a finger up to touch it, figuring out how badly it was bleeding.
“Fuck” he said as he looked over to you. He came over and assessed your body for injuries or any sign of that fucker.
“This is why I tell you to be careful who you trust” he let out a sigh and began walking back to the village.
“Sorry” you lowered your head and walked behind him. He looked back at you and shook his head. He just wanted to comfort you and tell you everything was fine.
“I wish you just-“ your words came out like a bullet but you bit your tongue yet again. There was so many things you wanted to say to him in that moment.
How angry you were that he never gave you the time of day.
The way you loved having him around. You saw him, all of him, all the time.
His existence replayed in your mind like a broken record and you loved every second of it.
You loved crying about how he wouldn’t ever love you back because it was him, he was worth crying over.
He was worth every thought, every ounce of space he took up in your mind, he rightfully deserved.
But you’d spare him, let him live without the burden of loving someone he could never be with.
The way there were a million thoughts in your head but 99% of them were about him.
You were completely and utterly, infatuated with a boy that you were forbidden to love.
He stopped walking all of a sudden and looked up at the night sky, taking a deep breath in.
“Finish that sentence” he demanded as he turned around and looked at you with glazed eyes. A little bit of dirt created shadows on his face.
“Go on” he added. His face was serious but his eyes were hurting. There was no getting out of this.
“Maybe if you saw me the same way” the words left your mouth. Tears welled up in your eyes, threatening to spill over your darkened face.
“I wouldn’t look to others for love” you finished as a tear slipped down your cheek.
He exhaled what seemed to be the longest breath he had ever held in his life.
The words that he had been dreading to hear came out of your mouth. He couldnt lie to you anymore, you swept the rug from beneath his feet. He had no choice but to be vulnerable now.

dont be so loud
neteyam x f!metkayina reader.
small little blurb of the sully boys
THIS WAS FUNNY IN MY HEAD IDK IF ITS THAT FUNNY NOW BUT I FIGURED I SHOULD POST IT!
happy reading!
-
“when will you quit being so loud baby brother” neteyam came around and messed with lo’ak’s hair.
lo’ak swatted his hand away and looked at him with disbelief.
HE was the loud one?
yeah alright.
he took the comment a little too seriously.
a snarky look formed in his eyes as he began to run his mouth
“yeah as if you and y/n arent all…”
“uhh neteyam..ahh y/n my fish princess” lo’ak mimicked moans while making overly exaggerated faces.
jake overheard the conversation and choked on his fruit, he picked himself up while clearing his throat and exiting before he heard anything else that would knock the wind out of him.
lo’ak turned around, his back facing his brother. he began hugging himself, moving his head in circular motions. the kissy noises made neteyam want to drag him by his tail, so he did.
lo’ak slipped from his grip and pulled at his brothers tail as he was tackled to the ground.
“let go of my tail you skxawng!” neteyam yelled loudly.
“you are the one who started it!” lo’ak screamed in his face.
“y/n is not my FISH PRINCESS!” neteyam said as he pulled lo’ak’s hair. a screech filled the small tent.

words left unspoken: aftermath
part one: words left unspoken
Tumblr media
hii lovelies! i was so happy to see the feedback on “words left unspoken.” it is my saddest story yet. also idk na’vi clearly so plz excuse me if i said smth wrong!
about: more angst, funeral, stages of grief.
do NOT share my work without giving credit!
characters are not mine except for the ones i have created.
enjoy!
-
today was y/n’s funeral.
the world went on but the tribe grieved a great loss. the loss of a young na’vi was excruciatingly painful yes, but this was y/n. one of the youngest warriors of the tribe. devoted to protecting her people, her family.
her death struck everyone she had helped. those families she would spend long hours hunting for. they reminisced on her smile and how she would always teach the young ones how to hunt. her gentle yet fierce demeanor and laugh that was extremely contagious.
since her parents were no longer around to sing her song chord neytiri stepped in to sing it for her. she held the oddly short string of woven beads, bones, and crystals in her hands.
memories of bearing motherhood with her bestfriend, ne’niva. they were both so excited to start a new chapter in their lives. both young and naive.
tears slipped down her face as her finger ran over the arrowhead woven into y/n’s song chord. the letter ‘n’ carved into it. the arrow it came from belonged to neteyam.
her arrowhead was woven to his own song chord that would continue to bare new memories. it served as a constant reminder of the time he fell in love with y/n.
flashback
it was their first time with the hunting party. both of them had a clean shot at a sturmbeest. a rather difficult animal to catch. two arrows right through its thick skin and flesh, one with a green feather and the other a blue one.
“you did it nete!” yelled y/n excitedly.
“WE did it y/n” he picked her up and spun her around with a biggest smile on his face.
they prayed to eywa as neteyam put the animal to rest. they celebrated soon after, feasting with their tribe.
-
neytiri remembered neteyam’s face when he told her how he felt. the stories she would hear for hours after they hung out. his luminescent freckles shining a little brighter, pupils dilated.
no pain could hurt worse than seeing neteyam mourn though. his feelings were raw, stinging like a third degree burn down to bone.
if a walking corpse was possible neteyam would be the embodiment. he didnt care to eat or speak. he had given up on his body.
flashback
he carried her body home, watching his father and the elders take her cold corpse away for good. lo’ak and spider followed after them asking what had happened. kiri’s gut wrenching cry as she reached for her sister. tuk was looking up at her with sorrow and worry. other clan members who had known her screamed, their battle cries filled his ears
he walked away slowly, all the noise drowning out, it felt like he was trapped under water. his stomach flipped and his breathing became more and more irregular.
neteyam couldnt help but throw up. he watched his best friend, his lover, his everything die in front of him, in his arms with nothing he could do.
this wasnt real it couldn’t be real. he put his hand over his mouth and sobbed even harder, not able to catch his breath. neytiri found him and held him close, attempting to soothe him.
“there nete” she said while tears slipped from her eyes.
neteyam pulled at his mother as if yearning for a comfort that he could no longer find. he screamed for y/n hoping she would hear him and come back to him. hold him close and tell him about her day, scold him for getting lulled into lo’ak’s stupid endeavors.
-
he eventually realized no amount of screaming or crying would bring the girl he loved back to him. he fiddled with the blood stained bracelet on his wrist. completely numb, sitting alone on the branch that the two would take their walks on, the place they would talk about their futures.
neteyam fiddled with the plants around him as if contact with them would bring him closer to her. his face was pale, eyes had bags hanging from under them.
jake approached carefully with paint in his hands. neteyam was like a fragile piece of glass, shattered, but awaiting the smallest move to break and disperse.
“hey son” jake spoke softly, the softest he’s spoken to him in a long while. neteyam was not a warrior right now, he was his son, a lover, who was robbed of the one person who provided him consolation and affection. jake understood that.
he had seen a lot of neytiri and himself through neteyam and y/n. as they got older he would get deja vu of his times with neytiri. they were both so young, full of life.
flashback
“oh eywa! what has happened to your face?” y/n ran over to neteyam grabbing his shoulders. eyes furrowed, studying the cuts. neytiri and jake watched and listened silently.
y/n slapped the back of his head and neteyam winced. jake looked over at neytiri and smirked.
“ow y/n!” neteyam exclaimed.
“you skxawng! why dont you watch where you’re going!” she yelled as she sat in his lap. carefully, she applied the healing ointment mo’at had given her. he winced even though it didnt hurt, just used the pain as an excuse to hold her waist.
jake travelled back to the time when neytiri spent most of her time calling jake a skxawng. at that point his name wasn’t even jake.
-
they sat in silence for a moment before jake held neteyams face in his right hand and brought his forehead against his own. they both closed their eyes and took in the moment.
“its almost time..your mother sent me” he gestured toward the bowl of white paint. neteyam nodded slowly and sat up, looking at his dad with doleful eyes.
jake dipped his fingers into the white paint and ran a line down the center of neteyams face and chest. each swipe of the cold paint elicited a tear. the fact that y/n was gone set in for what felt like the millionth time.
-
“nga yawne lu oe a mì soaiane”
i love you, my family.
“ma sempul ulte eyktan, oel ngati kameie”
father and mother, i see you.
neytiri’s voice sang with mo’at as the clans men carried y/ns body in. neteyam and jake at the front. her hair held a flower in it, orange and yellow ones surrounded her body.
“oel ‘efu kameie, eywa”
i feel you, eywa.
“neteyamur, oel ngati kamei”
neteyam, i see you.
a tear left neteyam’s eye as he heard his name. he refused to believe that she was gone. she was the most alive person he had ever known. she couldn’t be gone.
the elders began lowering her body into the ground, surrounded by the roots of hometree. neteyam reached out for her knowing that it was over. his wailing filled the ears of the people along with the others who watched their beloved warrior given to eywa.
lo’ak held his brother in the nape of his neck. he himself shed many tears. he knew his brother needed him, this was the worst pain of his life.
the seeds of the spirit tree began flooding in, landing in the hands of the people. they collectively prayed to eywa together.
neteyam watched as the seed floated into his hand. she had always found these amazing. he loved watching y/n chase after them when they were young.
he lowered his hand and let the seed fall onto his lovers body, lighting up her pale blue skin. he smiled softly at her resting state, she looked peaceful, she deserved peace after everything she had been put through.
he studied her features one last time, taking a picture of her in his mind.
“seiyi irayo eywa”
thank you eywa.
“seiyi irayo”
thank you.
sang the clan in unison.
-
neteyam sat by her burial spot for hours. he was afraid he’d forget her scent, her touch, her laugh, the way her eyes would narrow and gleam when she was focused. the small things she would do like fiddle with his hair when she got bored. how her chest would rise and fall when she slept. the feeling of her soft skin against his.
everything in his life came back to her. his bow reminded him of the nights that the two spent hunting. the beads in his hair were the ones she had carefully chosen. the necklace he wore always drew out a compliment, so he just wore it all the time.
when her belongings were given to neteyam. he felt as if he didnt deserve them, he couldn’t save her but he knew she would want him to look after her things. he hung her bow in his part of the tent along with her head piece. he attached a piece of the bullet that took his lover to his own song chord, he would never forget what the sky people had taken from him.
his lover stolen, his future lying with her.

yawne; beloved
neteyam x reader
neteyam and reader are both of age!
fluff!!!
hiii! thank you for reading my work, be sure to comment suggestions and such! this is just a short blurb!
-
I grasped on to my ikrans saddle, flying alongside Neteyam. Looking over at his smiling face, I yelped with joy. He was everything I could’ve ever dreamed of.
He began flying to the spot we both loved dearly. A cave filled with bioluminescent plants and vines. We both flew into the cave and I smiled at Neteyam as he walked over. He helped me down my ikran like he always did. He intertwined his fingers with mine and we both lied down in the grass.
“Yawne..” neteyam spoke softly.
“Hm?” I looked over at him. His yellow orbs gazed into mine softly. As he stared his pupils dilated and a smile creeped on his face.
“Just wanted for you to look at me” He rolled onto his side and spread his arm across my body. He hummed lightly and traced shapes onto my skin.
“Nete you will be olo’eyktan soon” i said. He looked over at me questionably and picked himself up onto one arm.
“Yes it is the talk of the village” he sighed as he searched my face for a warrant to this question.
“Will that mean I’ll be your tsahik?” I smiled widely and looked at him.
“I dont know y/n” he looked away from me.
My heart sank to the bottom of my chest. My face fell and anger seeped through my veins. I was “his woman” and his “beloved” all for nothing? Rage burned through my skin as I imagine Neteyam with some other woman.
I turned onto my side facing away from him not noticing him turning around slowly with a smirk on his face.
“I was kidding” Neteyam grabbed at my shoulder and attempted to pull me back into him.
“Please” he sighed and rolled his eyes while placing small kisses onto my shoulder and back. I swatted his hand away with my tail. Stupid Nete.
“M’ sorry yawne” he began tickling me and I couldn’t help but laugh. The cave echoed our sweet laughter back at us. Our joy was captured in sound waves that bounced off of the walls.
My neteyam.
