I forgot how anatomy worked so I had to study some figures with Easy-To-Draw Ali

(I'll edit this post if the creator of the last pose is ever found; I found all of these on Pinterest and was lucky enough to find tumblr accounts associated with the other two drawings based on their signatures. The last one just brought up a bunch of posing sketches when I reverse-image-searched it)

It's a little rough around the edges but I'm proud of what I was able to put on display here.

Head turned successfully! Now, I'm hoping to get better at the process as time goes on so including more details (namely the face) becomes viable in later animations. For now, though, we sacrifice what we need to. 🐸

I'm following a list of prompts and "brick falling off a shelf" should've been way simpler than I made it out to be. I wanted Something That Reads As A Brick to fall off of Something That Reads As A Shelf, and not just a rectangle falling off a rectangle. You get me?

This practice actually helped me get a feel for positioning the ball in each frame (without the end result looking awkward). Hopefully tumblr doesn't completely shred the quality, because this was done in 24 fps and honestly I think it's helping me improve my patience w/ lineart more than it is teaching me the animation fundamentals

I'm late and sad about it T-T but in observance of this day, here's two recent Mario doodles I made

I'm long past due for introducing any of my characters on this blog, since I've already shown them off like 3, maybe 4 times already? Ah well. Here's the main two, Jammy & Ali. If you can't tell which is which, check the image descriptions that I spent like half an hour typing out:

They're best friends! Since I'm such a big Mario & Luigi fan, I often use the plumber brothers to compare to the personalities of these two: Jammy is the taller, more easily-frightened one, Ali is much more willing to stand up to a challenge. However, Jammy is also the jollier fellow (whenever he isn't acting shy) while Ali can store more facts in his brain. They're both somewhat like Mario, but also both somewhat like Luigi. There's not really any significance to me making this comparison, since they're supposed to be their own characters and not just half-Mario, half-Luigi frankensteins 🐸🐸

Above is the full version of the profile pic I've been using on here and ArtFight for the past month - Yea I graduated highschool this year!!! 🎉

I graduated just this June, decided that "heck yeah I'm proud of this," and put the cap & gown on my mascot throughout July. Though I'm not sure if anybody noticed it at icon size, I mean you'd have to really pay attention...

...anyhoo! As for the future of this blog, I still have nothing planned. There's nothing queued or drafted after this post. I don't wanna make any promises because it'll eat me alive trying to keep even one, but I do intend on drawing more.

Honestly I already draw a lot; the problem is that I don't polish things enough to where I'm comfortable posting them.

I might make a poll for everyone's thoughts if there's enough notes to convince me that I'll get more than just a couple answers. We'll see 🤷‍♂️

Here's some extra sketches I did early on! Originally the running pose was my main focus, but I had to change a few things so it would fit into the car window composition I had going. Shame because I LOVED how this was looking

Fifth attack this season! This time on @charetchi because they absolutely CHEESED me earlier this month and I needed REVENGE >:)))

The composition's based on this weird phenomenon where folks, especially kids, imagine a figure running alongside a car.

(Hopefully what I drew passes as a car interior lol) Normally you wouldn't imagine yourself as the figure (like I drew Kismit doing), but I'm an idea-sapped artist so it is what it is 🙂
