I used to work at a web development firm that built webcrawler tar pits by accident just by using really nonstandard url patterns for searching shop pages. Over 16 million procedurally generated "pages" that just showed the same couple products over and over again, and every now and then we'd have a server go down because one of the sites hosted on it didn't include that pattern in its robots.txt

The way I interpreted it was that the curse was on Zelda and Link, and that Ganon is the curse, not a person afflicted by the curse.
I feel like there could be an interesting angle in thinking of ganondorf as a reincarnation of demise rather than as someone cursed by demise. It would explain the hell out of why he has so much beef with a ten year old, theyve met before, not that he remembers that, but he sort of does?
As for how he reincarnated when he's supposed to be sealed in the master sword? *shrugs* idk, fi was asleep and he leaked out. That could be why hes not a demon anymore?

I'm only casually familiar with 40K so take this with a grain of salt, but I think that they'd start out on the back foot but as long as they could avoid going extinct early on, they'd end up doing at least as well as the Imperium.
My reasoning is that for all of Super Earth's dogmatism, one thing they don't have any qualms about is stealing other factions' tech. The biggest thing holding the Imperium back is that they're ideologically opposed to both improving on their own technology as well as scavenging alien tech from battlefields, and there's a decent chunk of their own tech that they don't understand the inner workings of, but despite all that, they haven't gone extinct yet. Between having better FTL capabilities and actually possessing electronic computers, super earth would be pretty heavily outgunned at the start, but could potentially catch up.
if super earth and all of its forces got suddenly tossed into the warhammer 40k universe how do y'all think they'd do?
so suppose like. super earth and every bit of their forces and ships got zipped into a random spot of the 40k universe and immediately got to work on diving on stuff how well could they fight against other factions?

The entire right wing has turned into this. At every opportunity, their "thought leaders" turn to their constituents and say "you're a bunch of stupid bastards, aren't you?" and receive a resounding "we sure are!" in response.

Exmormon here, it's not quite as explicit but that line of thinking very much shapes mormon theology. Mormonism is essentially "downstream" of evangelicalism; every time the evangelicals get something into their heads, it ends up in mormonism within a couple years too.
Hey so I still see people utterly baffled by how religious fundies (still a majority in America and moreso its senate) react on certain issues so uhhh is it actually not common knowledge what the antichrist is all about? You guys know his defining characteristic is ending war, right? That he’s foretold to unite the world under his leadership by preaching global peace and solving basically every single problem in the world? So you know when you try to talk to these people about equality and togetherness they literally believe that’s what makes you an agent of the devil right???

Hey, that was pretty good! Is this a pilot for a longer series, or just meant to be a oneshot?
Hello! I've been working on a comic for about 8 months and I'd be pleased as punch if people were to read it for my birthday today! It's a work that channels quite personal feelings, but it's still something I want to share with others.
It's a bit of a long ride, so I've put it up on Cubari for easier reading. Thanks for checking it out if you do!

This is either real or a very elaborate hoax.
so you're telling me that the Catholics have a new mascot that's a cute anime-style blue-eyed teal-haired anime (girl(???) or boy, possibly???) and her name is Luce? As in latin for light, so they're a bearer of light? like... Lucifer? Okay.

Yeah, I work in social media analytics (🤢) and it's clearly dying. Like, it's public knowledge that daily active users are down like 11% over the last 2 years, but on top of that even the people who are still visiting regularly are posting and interacting way less (like ~45% less!) than they used to.
This is what happens when Elon Musk becomes CEO of a company and doesn't have his hand slapped away from the steering wheel.
Man obviously there’s a bunch of really unfortunate consequences to Elon’s mishandling of twitter but the thing that really got to me after a while was how lonely it feels to use the platform now. I only follow my friends and a couple of artists yet my whole dash is filled with total strangers and blue checkmarks trying to farm engagement. There’s an unblockable ad every three tweets (two if you’re counting the bots trying sell me something). There’s no lingering on interesting videos cause they all autoscroll tiktok style (with ads every 3 vids). Following someone means zilch so if I wanna see what the friends I use the platform for have been up to I have to manually go to their accounts & half the time the first tweet I see is an announcement that they’re leaving. It’s such a dead mining town of a website, but instead of dying because the mines just naturally dried out and people left for greener pastures, it’s dying because the newly appointed nepobaby Sheriff got really into building a 7-story mall in the middle of the desert without ever stopping to think what it’d do to the local economy and wildlife, or even if anyone needed an apple store and three taco bells in the middle of the outback.
