'Cause anytime you want me (I'll be) Right here where you call me (I'll be)
youtube
Just popping on here to say how much I love Jimin's new song. I'd sit this one at the same table as Promise in terms of how it makes me feel when I listen - it just feels like a big warm hug from Jimin to his fans.
I haven't had much time to sit and read up on the song, but I did take some time this morning to read through the lyrics. This part in particular stuck out to me:
Don't have to worry now Letting go of your hand for a moment But it's only a small comma in our story Just call my name out loud Until the days tinge purple once again
The part about this separation just being "a small comma on our story" makes want to tear up a little. This may just be my interpretation, but it really reminds me of how we all deal with these difficult or sad situations that can feel impossible and never ending while you are in the middle of it, but eventually it ends and then we move on to the next chapter.
I'll need to sit and process my feelings more before I can come back and say anything else about the song, but I hope that wherever today finds you that you are having a good day and get a chance to take some rest 💗. I know this time of year can be hectic and stressful for most people so make sure to take care of yourself!

Make it right, it's gonna be all right
Tumblr media
I'm just going to include this gif at the top because its one of my favorite Jimin gifs from this past year.
I had meant to come back here sooner, but to be honest my life is kind of a mess right now and work has been killing me so I haven't wanted to spend any more time on the computer than I have to during the day. But as we approach enlistment week, I felt like it made sense to come back on here and share some of the feelings I've been trying to process since news of Jimin's enlistment first dropped.
There are a couple of things that I feel like are important to preface before I share the rest of my feelings:
I am not Korean and have never lived in South Korea, so I don't have an intimate understanding of how the enlistment process or military service in South Korea works. I will do my best to just share my feelings and opinions without getting to deeply into things that I don't really have a place to comment on.
Generally speaking, I am a pacifist so I wish that we lived in a world where no one had to serve in the military, voluntarily or involuntarily. I also understand why that isn't always a reality.
I am a woman, so in most cases mandatory military service isn't something that would apply to me and therefore I can't really speak to how this would make me feel if I was in his shoes.
Obviously we knew this day was going to come eventually, especially once Jin had started the enlistment process, but it doesn't make it any easier to sit and think about not having Jimin around for the next 18 or so months. It's a weird set of emotions to process the absence of someone who you don't know personally, but who has been a constant in your life for years. The fact that this comes during December, a month which many people (including myself) find to be a difficult time of year, only makes it harder.
Because a conversation around whether or not the members of BTS should have to serve is basically irrelevant at this point, I'd rather focus on some of the conversations I've seen around whether or not Jimin will "do well" in the military.
Now, some of what I've seen posted is coming from PJMs or other Jimin fans who are concerned with his welfare and whether or not he will be subject to bullying or harassment like some other idols have experienced. I've also seen some really unhinged takes saying he is too "weak" or won't be able to cope due to some imagined mental health issue (obviously this is not coming from anyone who really cares for or supports Jimin). I even saw posts detailing Jimin's martial arts prowess meant to defend him against those accusations.
So let me be real for a sec - I think Jimin is one of the most dedicated and hard working people I have ever come across and I'm including people I know IRL in that calculation. That isn't just about his martial arts background (even though he could definitely kick some ass if he wanted to), how many hours he spent on his own practicing his singing and dancing leading up to and after his debut, the amount of work he put into FACE, or even how grueling the life of an idol can be. I think it comes down to the type of person he is at a fundamental level - no one can keep up that level of effort on an ongoing basis unless it's hardwired into them. Ultimately, this is what I think will help Jimin to survive and even thrive during his service.
Beyond all that, seeing how well Jin and Hobi seem to have done during their service so far also gives me a lot of comfort. Knowing that Jimin and JK will be stationed with Jin for the next few months gives me hope that he can show them the ropes and help them get settled in. Having those familiar faces will have to make things easier, especially in the beginning.
Even though I'm sure Jimin will be fine, I am wondering what the best way to cope with all of this will be. It feels a little weird to be worried about his fans in a situation like this but at the same time I know I'm not the only one who cares deeply for him and will be impacted by this situation. I think my game plan right now is to light a candle that day for Jimin and send out some positive vibes for his happiness and a safe return, but if anyone has some good suggestions please share.
I probably won't be able to be super active on here until after the holidays are over, but if I think of anything slightly interesting to share I will try and post that when I can. I've also been thinking of what I might want to do in the new year to continue to celebrate Jimin until he comes back. I was considering doing some posts discussing some of my favorite songs or music videos of his, but would be open to suggestions if there is anything you would like to hear my thoughts on. I'm also happy to be here to listen if you need someone to chat with about missing Jimin.
Hope wherever you are you are having a good morning/day/evening/night 💗.

Feelings
Tumblr media
I've written and deleted and re-written and edited this post a few times trying to figure out how I want to convey my feelings (mostly because my brain is mush after having a nightmare week at work), but I think I've finally figured it out.
It's been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster lately - enlistment news, Jimin and JK's Japan trip, MAMA award win for Jimin, Jimin getting put on Spotify Wrapped Top Tracks of 2023, JJK's or Taekookers trying to get the government to investigate Jimin...the list goes on and on.
I also saw today that "Like Crazy" finally got certified (although I'm not going to give Hybe any credit for this - I'm wondering if it was one of the other writers who requested it).
Tumblr media

Turns out this is the first solo song by a K-soloist to be certified platinum in the last decade and only the second overall (which tbh is kinda wild).

I don't know what exactly has caused this year to be so insane, but as we inch closer and closer to the end it becomes clear that there are still more surprises in store. We still have Jimin's yet to be announced music (I heard something about December 15th the other day but I am always the last person to know what's really going on so that could be wrong), official enlistment date announcements, and more that I'm for sure forgetting (it's been a very long day, forgive me) that will probably come out over the next few weeks.
Even though Jimin is still here, I've already seen people start to talk about leaving or deactivating their accounts. Obviously this is a personal choice and I don't begrudge anyone taking a break from social media, but I do think that we all need to make the most of the time we have left before he enlists and not give up on him while he is gone. Obviously with less to react to or consume it can be less fun to be a part of a fandom, but after spending years being Jimin's fan and supporting him I want to make sure I'm still doing what I can for him while he's away.
So I've decided I am going to make a promise to Jimin and to myself right now - I will continue to stream, post and support him for as long as I can. I may not be the most consistent on here but I will do what I can when I am able to and behind the scenes I will always be rooting for him.
We've got a lot to look forward to, so I hope you all will be here with me to see what comes next 💗

A brief open letter
Tumblr media

As we get close to Thanksgiving here in the U.S., I just wanted to take a second to say how grateful I am that I've been able to be a fan of Jimin and be involved in his fandom this year.
I know it sounds really silly to say that you are thankful for someone you will never meet or interact with, but the reality is that being a fan of Jimin has brought me a lot of joy, especially when I didn't have much to be happy about. I've been through a lot of different life changes and struggles over the past few years, and even something as simple as listening to his music has been a big comfort to me.
Tumblr media
Seeing how hard he works and how dedicated he is as an artist has inspired me to try and work harder at the things I feel passionate about. I especially loved getting to see a glimpse of his thought process and feelings during his documentary, which only made me appreciate him more. He really is one of a kind.
I am also grateful for the different people I've met as a result of Jimin, even if we only know each other by our screen names. I've been able to make connections with people across the globe that I never would have met otherwise and that is something I will always treasure. Life sucks sometimes, but having something positive (like a love of Jimin) that we can share makes it all worthwhile.
Even though I know this year has been a struggle for Jimin's fans, I still think we should celebrate the fact that he got to release his first solo album and make history in so many ways. That's something that no one can ever take away from him.
I'm not sure who (if anyone) will read this, but I'm all up in my feels today and it felt right to take a few minutes to post this. So, wherever you are I hope you are having a good day and just know that I am thankful for you too.

In keeping with my trend of posting about things way after they happen and that everyone has already talked about, I am coming back now to talk about Jimin's relationship with Tiffany & Co. and share my thoughts on their partnership.
I think out of all of the relationships that BTS members have had with different brands (both as a group and as individuals), Tiffany & Co. is my favorite. While I don't have diamond money, I have spent time in their stores in the past to gawk at all the beautiful jewelry and pretend that I'm there to buy something fabulous. They are an icon in the luxury brand space and that tends to be reflected in who they choose to represent them (ex: Beyoncé). This is definitely not a brand who would choose just anyone to be their spokesperson.
When Jimin became a House Ambassador back in March, I was so excited to see that Jimin would be working with them and couldn't wait to see what would come out of this relationship. It was also great to see him attend the re-opening of their NYC Flagship location and getting all the love and attention he deserves.
So far, their partnership has produced some of my favorite Jimin photos to date:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think the fact that they chose Jimin to represent the ‘Love Locked’ campaign which is "an all-gender collection that makes a bold statement" and features the tagline “No rules. All welcome" is also very fitting - he's got the kind of singular charm that allows him to shine no matter what he is wearing.
When the first photos from his recent Elle Korea cover and spread dropped and it was mentioned that he would be wearing Tiffany & Co., I was excited to see how they were going to style him for a more editorial look.
In my opinion, this spread is far superior to the GQ Korea/Dior shoot because it allows for Jimin's to show off his softer side:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(it also gave us another sweater Jimin - my ultimate weakness).
These are the kinds of photos that I always end up saving to my phone to use as drawing inspo, only to realize there is no way that I can ever do him justice.
I'm glad that Tiffany & Co. (like Dior) seems to understand the massive opportunity they have in their relationship to Jimin and I can only hope that there are more great things to come from their partnership in the future.
Side note - I've heard rumblings that we might be getting new music soon and I am crossing all my fingers that things go differently this time and he gets the promo period he deserves 🕯🕯🕯

An essay no one asked for
It was a long stressful day today so when I was taking a break from work I decided to do a quick scroll through social media to see what had been going on today.
Unsurprisingly, I almost immediately came across a number of posts trying to shade Jimin or make fun of his fans along with the typical "fuck solos" type narratives that seem so popular these days. All I really wanted to see were cute pictures of Jimin on his way to Hungary or hear some theories on what he might be doing there.
In fact, here is a cute Jimin pic to thank you for taking the time to even read the rest of this:
Tumblr media
credit to @UpdateParkJimin
So here is a short list of a few of the things I saw just today:
Jimin is obviously copying JK by going to film something in Hungary (such a stupid theory and I saw someone post that Seventeen actually went there first)
Jimin isn't as popular as JK because he didn't get mobbed by his fans (tbh they seemed very well behaved and I was proud that they didn't act like absolute fools and put Jimin in danger)
Jimin and the remaining members should just shave their heads already and go to the military so that we can get the promised 2025 reunion (absolute nonsense and a highly problematic take)
Solos are the worst and should be eradicated from the fandom (just because you are a solo it doesn't make you toxic, just like being an ARMY doesn't mean you are a good person)
Obviously I'm sure there is a lot more than that but that is all I had the pleasure of seeing on my break. Now most of these aren't totally new, just the same story with a different font, but it doesn't make it any more fun each time they go around. I could go into detail on any of these but to be honest most of them are so shallow and stupid that it's not even worth bothering.
What I really want to focus on today is the narrative that solos are toxic and something that needs to be removed from fandom spaces. The reality is that almost everyone in the fandom has a self-professed bias that they proudly display in their bio or profile pic. Even if they have a tiny seven somewhere in there, it doesn't make that fact any less true. I think it's natural to be more drawn to one person, one type of food, one pair of shoes, etc. as your favorite and it's incredibly rare that anyone can honestly say that they "love everyone equally" (even if it's your mom saying she doesn't have a favorite child, I don't believe her).
Like I said above, I know that some solos are toxic just like I know some ARMY are toxic. Again, I think that unfortunately it's natural that some people are going to just be shitty people no matter what. What it really all comes down to is how you treat others and how you conduct yourself in these fandom spaces. I said this in my first post but I'll say it here again - you and I don't have to agree on everything to treat each other with respect and decency. But if you come into a space and harass others and generally act like an idiot then yea you should be barred from those spaces. Painting a whole group in broad brushstrokes, however, is not the solution.
Saying you "hate solos" (which let's be real - it's often just a thinly veiled way to hate on PJMs or other Jimin supporters) just means that you are stereotyping a whole group of people that hold a variety of beliefs, feelings and behaviors. If you see something truly problematic that someone is posting or saying do what you are supposed to do - block and report. If it's just that someone doesn't agree with you or if you have some sick obsession with Jimin and his success - do me a favor and turn off your phone for a bit. Calling other people names and harassing them because they don't think your fave is the greatest thing ever is just pathological.
We live in a really messy world and I will never understand the desire to make it messier for others by being a dick. A much better way to spend your time and energy in a fandom is to actually do the things that help support your bias - stream, buy, vote, and share them with others who might not have found them yet. Or be like me and write multiple paragraphs that people may never read in an attempt to call out some real bullshit that is going on.
If you read this, I appreciate really it 💗.
Here is another Jimin for your time:

Very interesting...
I am currently waiting for a pie to bake and was doing a quick scroll through the hellscape that is Twitter when I saw this post:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
credit to @FJiminData
So out of all the songs that BTS and it's members have released that were eligible for RIAA certification, the last song that wasn't a JK-led project to receive certification was "My Universe", which had an eligibility date of 9/27/22. Of the 15 songs on this list that became eligible this year, only one has actually been certified - "Seven". That means that not only was "Like Crazy" not certified Platinum, but even BTS songs like "Fire","Save Me", and "Life Goes On" (which all became eligible this year for Platinum certification) weren't certified. I checked on the RIAA website and "Life Goes On" was previously certified Gold but the list is surprisingly short compared to what has been eligible. Even "Spring Day" hasn't been certified, and it became eligible in 2022.
I'm not sure exactly why this happened (anyone who has some knowledge in this area please feel free to jump in and comment) or why it has now become a priority to certify "Seven" if this is seemingly unimportant to Hybe.
It doesn't make me feel any better to see that other songs have also been neglected by the label, but it does seem to confirm that the bullshit that PJMs and other Jimin supporters have been calling attention to isn't limited to just him.
I am a firm believer that a fair and even playing field is the only way that achievements can truly be judged against each other, and there is nothing that has happened this year that leads me to believe that is what we are working with.
I'm sure ARMY/"OT7" will continue to say this doesn't matter but if they won't stand up for Jimin, shouldn't they at least stand up for the group they care so much about?

I'm glad lots of people are done defending this company and are still demanding answers.
Hybe has gotten away with so much and hasn't been held accountable. Their lack of action has led to injustices that have affected Jimin in all areas of his life.
If Jimin is getting hate, if his album wasn't as successful as it should have been, if his career was affected, it is because of Hybe.
Hybe is responsible for the downfall of this fandom and today was a prime example of what happens when a fandom full of hate towards a member is allowed to run rampant. But they allow it because those fans they protect bring in the money.
It's hard to imagine a BTS in 2025. How? How can anyone go back to that when the hate has intensified towards Jimin, when his mistreatment is obvious, when there are differences in how each member is treated, when an entire fandom treats him like an enemy and drags him daily. I don't want to be part of that.
The downfall is because of them.
Hybe needs to be held accountable.
Ps. The trucks are playing Set Me Free. pt. 2. Poetic.
And they seem to be located in other parts of Seoul.

I'm tellin' y'all, it's a sabotage
I have been trying to figure out how to talk about the ongoing mistreatment/sabotage/fuckery that has been happening to Jimin this year and there is so much to cover that kept hitting a wall when I tried to write how I feel about it all.
This is one of the main reasons that I decided to create this blog, beyond just wanting to scream into the void about how amazing I think he is. I have been lurking on Twitter and Tumblr for long enough to see how few people have chosen to continually speak out about how Jimin has been treated. This is especially true of "OT7" accounts (and honestly who is even surprised at this point about that), but I've also seen it happen in accounts where I thought they would have cared more about Jimin (this mostly applies to shipping accounts where Jimin is supposed to be half of the duo they are supporting).
All of this has lead me to the point where I can't in good conscience support anyone who doesn't continue to bring these issues up or recognize the blatant unfairness that continues to happen.
In what is just the latest example, Jimin's "Like Crazy" reached the milestone of selling over 1,000,000 units in the U.S. back in August. He was the first K-Soloist to achieve this in 2023 and the fastest to do so.
Tumblr media
credit to @PJM_data
This means that he would have met the requirements to go platinum, a great achievement for any artist. Unfortunately, getting certified involves the record label and clearly they haven't made it a priority to certify Jimin's achievement.
This alone is a problem, but the fact that Jungkook has now been certified platinum for "Seven (feat. Latto)" shows that the label clearly knows that this is something important and understands how to make this happen for their artists.
This tweet by @jiminiemelody really sums up my feelings:
Imagine being the first to achieve this impressive milestone 3 months ago and entitled to be the first Korean solo artist to get RIAA platinum certification but the label intentionally neglected and giving the record to their chosen one??? What would so-called armys say? Jimin… pic.twitter.com/fnQrLwIpKr
— JIMIN NOONA🪽 (@jiminiemelody) November 7, 2023
How anyone can not see how this is a problem is beyond me, but then I remember that ARMY/"OT7" never want to acknowledge any real issues that are happening with BTS or within the fandom, especially when it comes to Jimin.
I'm not naive enough to think that anything I say on this blog is going to change anyone's opinion who doesn't already agree with me or magically make Hybe (or whoever it is that has a vendetta against Jimin) stop their bullshit. But I do think it's important to call it out when we see mistreatment happening, regardless of how many people want to ignore it.
I know that Jimin Karma will come back to bite them all in the end, because while I don't have faith in much, I do have faith in him.

Sweater Weather
Even if these pictures are already about a week old I still feel the need to talk about these.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's cold, rainy, and gross where I am right now so instead of facing down the impending darkness of winter, I am choosing to focus on this cozy sweater Jimin and how amazing he looks with his new silvery blonde hair.
Park Jimin might be the only man in the world that I can say genuinely brings out my maternal instincts. I just want to cuddle him up in a blanket and bring him a nice cup of tea. This is especially the case when he is wearing a sweater like this one, but really almost any time I see him my immediate reaction is to say to myself "Ah Jimin, so cute!". Obviously I know he is a full grown man and only a few years younger than me, but it is what it is.
I also saw earlier we might be getting some new music soon courtesy of Ryan Tedder which really made my day. Until then, I am just going to keep living in Jiminland and avoiding my real life responsibilities.

j'adore dior
youtube
When the members of BTS were first starting to be courted by brands for endorsement deals, I had high hopes for whatever brand would be able to snatch up Jimin.
I am by no means a fashionista in my everyday life, but I am a big fan of fashion and enjoy keeping tabs on what the latest trends are. A sizable chunk of my YouTube history is watching reviews of the latest collections and seeing who wore what best (along with Jimin dance compilations, but that's a post for a different day). Generally speaking, the men's collections are never as eye-catching or as interesting to look at when compared to the women's collections (I'm using gendered terms here because that is typically how they are referred to by the fashion houses, obviously anyone should be able to wear whatever they like and feel comfortable in), and to be honest I've found most men's collections to be pretty underwhelming.
Dior in particular was never a fashion house that I paid much attention to in regards to their men's fashion because I am typically more drawn to their womenswear and accessories (not that I can ever afford them, but a girl can dream and if anyone has a spare Lady Dior bag they don't want please call me). I remember when Jisoo became an ambassador a few years ago and thinking that it was a smart choice to capitalize on her popularity and bring that brand into a whole new market. Designer fashion ain't cheap (obviously) and historically has been targeted towards an older audience because they were the only ones who could afford it. I know lately that has changed quite a bit and I'm happy to see more diversity in who is a spokesperson or ambassador for these brands.
When I saw that Jimin was being announced as their newest global brand ambassador I was so happy that he was going to be with such a reputable brand. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the clothes themselves but figured Jimin could wear a paper bag and look good so it almost didn't matter. What really mattered is that he would be treated like the icon he is and pampered as much as possible (if I can't remind him how amazing he is every day someone needs to).
Seeing the latest campaign photos and videos, it's clear that Dior values him and continues to recognize that he “exemplifies the timeless spirit and singularity of Dior” (source). He brings a freshness and vibrancy to these clothes that is all his own. Seeing any of the same items he wears on the rack or on a model in one of their shows just doesn't have the same impact.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now no shade to this model whatsoever and obviously I am always going to think Jimin looks the best in something, but I really do think Jimin just adds a certain je ne sais quoi that can't be understated.
I am going to come back on here soon and talk about his work with Tiffany (because tbh that partnership had produced some of my favorite Jimin photos to date) but I will leave you with a few more of my favorite Jimin/Dior images and dream of the day I can afford something from Dior that isn't one of their (overpriced) lip oils.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Au revoir!
(p.s. all French in this post is courtesy of Google, I only speak English and very mediocre Spanish so I apologize in advance if any of the spelling is incorrect)

All for Jimin
Writing a blog isn't something I ever thought I would find myself doing, even though I've spent a fair amount of time lurking around on Tumblr. I have always had a lot of thoughts and opinions but never thought they merited being shared with the world.
So what brings me here now?
Park Jimin.
I was introduced to BTS in late 2018 and was immediately drawn to Jimin for his talent and charisma. I had never been a fan of K-Pop before and had zero idea what I was getting myself into when I became a fan of BTS. I can honestly say that being a fan of Jimin and BTS as a whole is something that brought me a lot of joy and happiness over the years, along with a lot of frustration in Chapter 2.
Even with all of the bullshit that has happened and continues to happen, being a supporter of Jimin has allowed me to connect with some amazing people I never would have had the chance to meet in real life.
So what is my goal here?
Now, I know that there are a million places out there you can go to for news or updates on Jimin and I'm not promising that I will be the best or most up-to-date source for that kind of information. To be honest, I'm not sure how often I will even be able to update this blog but when I get the chance I will be here.
I'm just hoping to create another little corner of the internet where we can talk about Jimin, whether that is how cool he looks in the latest Dior campaign or his ongoing mistreatment by Hype or Scooter or whoever else I need to add to my shit list. We all need places that allow us to find a sense of community now more than ever, so if that is something that sounds good to you please join me!
Like I said I can't promise to be the most up-to-date blog, but one thing I do promise is to always give my honest opinion on whatever it is we are discussing. So if you have a question feel free to send it in, all I ask is that we keep it respectful. You and I don't have to agree to treat each other with kindness and compassion. But let's be clear, I won't tolerate anyone specifically coming here to start shit or be hateful towards Jimin or myself.
I will try to add some more posts soon, but until then all I can say is be good like Jimin ❤️
