A Woeful Christmas

I saw her brooding on the corner

Depressed and full of Scars,

I mustered courage to talk to her

Now her eyes glittered like stars

Then time flew so fast

How long has it been?

I've so wanted that moment to last

So long I've made myself unseen.

Christmas is fast approaching

The kid in me is so exited,

Yet why am I crying?

I didn't know that I'm already dead

It then hit the 24th of December

"Disperas" as they say,

I called her to say "Hey! "

She answered and said she's going away

Although it's a selfish act

He then faced the fact,

And said Merry Christmas

With just another happy act.

Didn't want her to know he was broken,

So he kept on smiling

And left the pain unspoken.
