Am I crazy, or is there legitimately a possibility of there being two knights? Or at least the Knight representing a team up between two people.

We all know there's evidence for Dess being the Knight, the antlers, the lost girl motif, the bat, and Asriel parallels. But it feels off...

Like why is the Knight so distinctly Papyrus shaped? Why is a point made to show their ribcage?

WHY DOES PAPYRUS LITERALLY VANISH RIGHT AFTER CHAPTER 3??? WHY HAS HIS ABSENCE BEEN POINTED OUT SO MANY TIMES?

It's not that big of a stretch honestly. In chess you play with two knights. In the cutscene about the roaring we see two titans that resemble the Knight.

I have a very long Google Doc detailing all the evidence I've gathered. I might end up sharing it when I'm finished idk.

MASSIVE DELTARUNE SPOILERS

I need to talk about that ending.

Correction- WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THAT ENDING-

This is…such a genius scene that seems so simple, but HAS SO MUCH BAGGAGE WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT. When I first saw it I felt the weirdest combination of emotions ive ever felt in my entire life and now I can’t stop thinking about this moment, so heres an attempt at putting those thoughts into words!

What makes it so interesting is that… yes, it is VERY FUNNY, AND an epic win for Soriel shippers…but…it feels so WRONG,

Kris and Susie were presumed MISSING well into the night, and Toriel seems to not even notice because of her drunkenness. Its incredibly irresponsible on her half, as she’s so distracted by “just having a little fun” (Queen Mom theorists be winning, Toriel has a drinking problem confirmed/hj)

The entire time I was laughing while going “oooooo….” Toriel thats not it girl. And when Susie left, the way Sans completely dismissed her and went “party back on yippee” also felt very off. Kris’ reaction to everyhing makes me so sad and put on edge by the whole thing, IT IS A GREAT SET UP TO THEIR OPINION ON THEIR HOME LIFE, THATS FOR SURE. At some point when Susie looks at Kris, they look away too, and when Toriel falls down they just walk away and refuse to go anywhere but their bedroom. which is just UGHHH I feel so bad for them, they’re tired of this shit

Tenna saying “We’re a happy family RIGHT KRIS???” and the whole Dark World in their house being centered around ACTING and being an ACTOR… hm.

AND DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON PAPYRUS- This bits more my own biases, but it makes me sad imagining him being all alone in a messy house all night like this poor bastard 😭

theres just SO MUCH TENSION from Kris’ end, its so…ugh. The entire thing screams irresponsibility. It is insane tonal whiplash, but not for the funny reasons some may think on first viewing i think. From my perspective it went from somber pain, to more like…oh god. this sucks. so hard.

My opinion on Soriel has never been strong in either direction, but now I am just FASCINATED cause from this scene it feels like- toxic??? they’re enabling each others bad habits, like on the surface it seems innocent but in hindsight its incredibly irresponsible on Toriels half, and only maybe on Sans’, we still dont know his and Papyrus’ whole situation or anything.

But yeah I love when relationships are complicated and not always healthy! gives ME MORE TO ANALYZE

I honestly kinda hacked the system in that fight. I had a bunch of leftover TP items I never used and they still boosted your TP to the same amount. When I figured that out I ended up being able to start with max TP!

heartbreaking: the irl friend who is getting into undertale & deltarune found the jackenstein fight difficult and annoying but was able to finish it in like less than an hour and gave me the exact strategy that i had already been doing (defend ffor ten thousand turns) as advice

Hey, guys I just wanted to ramble about one my Deltarune “theories” before the next two chapters come out tomorrow.

So we know that there is some sort of “knight” that’s creating the fountains, and we know that Kris very clearly resembles a knight. So, I don’t know how much of this rambling is well-accepted or already theorized but I’m just spilling my thoughts haha.

But I feel like it’s a well accepted concept that Kris is the “white knight” and the roaring knight is the “black knight.” In story though it would probably be refered to as the “lighter knight” and the “darkener knight.” We also have a darkener King and Queen. And we even have a lighter king and queen (if Toriel and Asgore hypothetically take those roles). This suggests Deltarune is some sort of big ‘ol chess game. I would assume between the player and Gaster. Though, the level of “importance” to the pieces seem to be different then in a IRL chess game.

Additionally, I feel like this concept could even be seen in Noelle, Ralsei, Susie, and Berdly.

I feel like Ralsei and Noelle could easily symbolize “rooks.” As Ralsei is quite literally a prince, and design speaking, Noelle’s antlers kind of look like a crown? Also, they both share the same role in the party.

And Susie and Berdly both have an axe as their main weapon, so I wonder if that symbolizes them being the same piece, which with process of elimination would make them both bishops.

Obviously Susie, Berdly, and Noelle would be automatically labeled as “lighter pieces” and hypothetically Ralsei would be a “darkener rook” but that doesn’t make the most sense considering he is directly working with the player (hypothetically)? So he might just be defined as a lightner rook even if he’s not actually a lightner (I think this could apply to darkner pieces as well)?

Here’s the thing, if Susie and Berdly are both characterized as “lightner bishops” that sets cards on the table that there’s two lightner knights, two darkner knights, two darkner bishops and so on.

I feel like some more darkner pieces could be the characters like Spamton and Jevil, I don’t necessarily know what the frick they could be but they clearly have something to do with Gaster.

Basically what I’m saying is… if Deltarune is one giant chess game then there should be two other knights that we don’t know about. And the two main theories I’ve seen about who the roaring knight is Dess and Papyrus, and just thinking about this whole thingy, what if it could be them both? And it would be funny if they both thought they were the only darker knight haha. I don’t really know who could possibly be the other lightner knight. My first thought would be Undyne, but I only say that cause she’s quite literally a knight in Undertale. Otherwise, I don’t think that makes much sense. I don’t think it would be anyone from the classroom. I mean, I guess there’s also the fact that we created a vessel at the beginning of the game, so it could have something to do with that? Or maybe the Angel? Or maybe this is a dead end haha. It could just be very slightly based off chess and I’m slamming myself into a wall.

I don’t know if I’ll do anything with these ideas on this blog, but we will see! This story concept right now is really just a concept haha. I like to prioritize my personal stuff, but I’m in a bit of a UTDR mood rn cause of Deltarune hype!
