@hannahcbrown months later, I decided to bring the water outside during snowfall and got... Mixed results.
1) Here is a moment where a snowflake falls without creating a ripple, and just melts in the water (see above the lil triangle)
And
2) Here is a moment where a snowflake creates a ripple.
(Don't mind the flashing triangle... I have no idea why it's doing that...)
Overall there was more rippless snowflakes than ripple-creating snowflakes.
I tried.
Would you happen to know if snow makes ripples on water like rain does?
Sorry for the random ask but you seem like someone who might know and I can't find the answer anywhere.
I'm trying to remember, and I feel like it doesn't- individual snow flakes are very light.
Although, on a very calm and flat surface of water (aka not the Sea), they might make very small ripples, probably depending on how roughly the wind is blowing them on the water. But then the surface won't be as calm/flat anymore in that case...
I just discovered your blog, but I'm a nova scotian currently living on the west coast, and all the videos of home make me remember how much I love and miss it.
Keep up the amazing work! <3
Hi there <3 such a lovely message! Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoy my nova scotian videos! One day I'll get to see the west coast too, I'm sure its beautiful...
