“To be empathetic means to be so tender with your imperfections that you don’t get angry when other people’s limitations begin to set you off. Instead, you ask them how their heart is doing. If there’s anything they can share that will ease the pain in the present moment. Something the both of you can gently work on to co-exist in peace with simply being human.”

Poetry (or lack thereof)
Go on and spill out the contents of your heart
It hurts, they say, but only for a moment
Bringing your soul to bear
Parting like the Red Sea
You wade through the depths
Trying to find all that's kept
You locked within
Letting go is the only key
To setting yourself free

Deep thoughts on unemployable skills
Yo,
So this is the thing I put here as a blog post opening for a blog about writing. Not sure if it’s going to only be about writing, but that’s definitely an essential focus. A hodgepodge of thoughts regarding being really into something that’s an unessential noncommidity.
Let’s face it, if you’re not into advertising, writing doesn’t pay for much else these days, much less breakfast cereal. And yet it’s a necessary skill, one that many people explore one that allows us to communicate more effectively with each other. Like any art, it’s got its starving creators, and spotlight allocators.
I guess the bottom line in all this is: If you’ve got something to say, then say it. Do what you love and forget the money.
