Moringa tea for men // Kama Kat Yoga
Many times when clients come to me for help with dysfunction, I see that their dysfunctions are just symptoms of general poor health. Sitting all day, eating processed foods, feeling so stressed.
Simple lifestyle changes make it easy to overcome dysfunction. Regular exercise, eating lots of fruits & vegetables, feeling relaxed. 
Another simple tip is to have a cup of moringa tea.
Moringa is a plant native to India that grows in tropical climates around the world. Drinking moringa tea helps with lowering blood pressure and blood sugar, enhancing digestion, protecting the kidneys and liver, fighting bacterial infections and cancers.
Researchers found that moringa eases the effect of stress on testosterone, enhancing penile blood flow and erections (Prabsattroo et al 2015).
Every simple change we make has a cultivating effect. Growing, growing, growing...

Plant-based eating // Kama Kat Yoga
Many of my clients come to me for help getting into shape. Growing strength, endurance, pleasure, and relaxation.
The first thing I recommend is to eat as many fruits and vegetables as possible. Researchers found that plant-based eating increases your metabolism and weight loss, even without cutting calories (Medawar et al 2019). Filling you up with vitamins, minerals, fibers, and high vibrational frequencies.
Plant-based eating also increases your circulation and sexual energy. Essential for flowing pleasure to our genitals. Researchers found that plant-based eating can prevent and even reverse erectile dysfunction (Yang et al 2022).
Try these three simple ways to eat more foods that grow...
1. Start your day with fruit. Try eating bananas, berries, grapes, oranges, melon. Filling up with nutrients first thing in the morning, jumpstarting your metabolism. My favorite breakfast is a bowl of oatmeal with cinnamon, banana, berries, and mango.
2. Have a large salad before your regular lunch and dinner. Try eating a salad filled with greens, vegetables, fruits, and raw vinegar only. Filling up with nutrients before your regular meal, helping you eat less of what comes next. My favorite salad is spinach, carrots, tomato, cucumber, grapes, apple, with raw apple cider vinegar.
3. Snack on whole foods. Try eating fruits and vegetables that are easy to take on the go. Bananas, apples, pears, mandarins, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, small cucumbers. Raw nuts and seeds. Filling up with nutrients, your energy pulsing all day long. My favorite snacks are bananas and raw peanuts. You can get them at most mini markets.
Plant-based eating makes our lives more simple. You don't have to read labels, count calories, or limit how many plants you eat.
You don't even have to worry about your health. Researchers found that plant-based eating can prevent and reverse cardio-metabolic diseases like heart disease, stroke, obesity, and diabetes (Kahleova et al 2017).
Eat foods that grow and you will grow too...

Natural antidepressants // Kama Kat Yoga
Several of my clients have shared with me that anti-depressant drugs wreak havoc on their sex life. That they feel no desire for sex. I have also had clients who are married to people on these antidepressant drugs and are wondering how to have a sex life with a spouse who feels no desire for sex…
Many of the most popular anti-depressant drugs were created as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI). Drugs based on the theory that depression stems from low serotonin. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that regulates our mood. It works with our circadian system to regulate sleep and digestion. It brings us the feelings of joy and happiness.
Researchers have now found that there is no evidence of a causal link between depression and serotonin levels (Moncrieff et al 2022). Although they did find evidence that long-term antidepressant use is actually associated with lowered serotonin levels.
Yoga has been practiced across space and time as a fountain of joy and happiness. Researchers found that yoga reduces the symptoms of depression and anxiety, and that yoga by itself can help you overcome depression (Saeed et al 2019).
Sex has also been practiced across space and time as a fountain of joy and happiness. Researchers found that regular to high sexual activity reduces the symptoms of depression and anxiety on libido, and that this sexual activity can even help you overcome depression and anxiety altogether (Mollaioli et al 2021).
Meaning that even if your mental health has you feeling like your libido is low. The more you have sex, the less likely you feel those effects on your libido, the less likely you feel anxiety and depression. The more likely you feel that joy and happiness…
I always tell my clients that it’s better to practice a little bit of yoga every day, instead of just one time per week. Because the brain always wants to stay the same. The more frequently we practice, the better we can train the brain. Feeling more relaxation. Feeling more pleasure.
Regular yoga and regular sex are instrumental for overcoming and preventing depression.
How about instead of trying to resist the feeling of depression, we use it to guide us to where we can find joy and happiness. Yoga, mindfulness, meditation, sex are time-tested practices that help us remember the flame of passion has been burning inside of us all this time...

Reducing work stress // Kama Kat Yoga
Most of my clients come to me for reducing stress—a common ailment that affects most Americans. Researchers found that our biggest stressors are related to work and responsibilities (Almeida et al 2020). And we’re not just talking about getting laid off or closing a million-dollar deal. Modern stress is more about daily hassles than major events (Kanmer et al 1981). It’s the emails, the calls, the meetings, the deadlines, the everchanging nature of all of these that wreaks chaos in your mind.
Yoga is an excellent elixir for stress.
Because when you’re chronically stressed, performing high intensity exercise triggers your body to increase cortisol levels. You are constantly running the sympathetic nervous system, fight or flight, even if it is a fight at Cross-Fit.
But when you’re chronically stressed and performing a low intensity exercise like the yoga I teach, your body can finally reduce cortisol levels (Hill et al 2008). Yoga triggers the parasympathetic nervous system. Putting the brakes on the stress response so you can rest and digest. Stilling the mind.
This is probably why we hear about big companies promoting yoga for their employees. Because why ever disconnect work for something like exercise? Researchers found that workplace yoga is an effective method for increasing employee health and decreasing employee stress (Della Valle et al 2020).
(Those researchers also found then men aged 40-54 report the highest work stress.)
But have you heard about big companies promoting sex for their employees? Researchers found that employees show a more positive affect and higher productivity rate at work, the day after sexual activity (Leavitt et al 2019). It doesn’t matter whether they’re happily married, unhappily married, single, or something else. Regardless of how satisfied the employees were with their intimate relationships, experiencing sexual activity has positive benefits.
(Remember how Napoleon Hill suggests that most men are not successful in business until their 40s or 50s, because that is when they finally learn to transform physical sexual desires into metaphysical creative inspiration.)
When our body is flooded with the hormones of sexual pleasure, it drowns out the hormones of stress. Especially those toxic work stress hormones. But you will definitely have to disconnect from work for this one...

The stress & sex connection // Kama Kat Yoga
Imagine that you’re on a hike in a luscious green forest. From behind a tree, you notice the golden eyes of a jaguar. Your sympathetic nervous system triggers hormones that increase your alertness and arousal. Fight or flight.
Imagine next that your lover walks out from a small waterfall, soaking wet and so turned on. They want to feel your body rubbing right next to them in that fresh flowing water…
Imagine that you decide to take the plunge with your lover because you just love to see them dripping like that. But now your body is secreting cortisol. It’s a hormone triggered by the HPA (hypothalamic pituitary adrenal) axis that constricts your blood vessels, pumping more blood to the cardiovascular organs so that you can fight or flee for your life.
The penis and vagina are made of erectile tissue, meaning that they expand when filled with blood. That expansion is what gives us the sensations of arousal. When the blood vessels are constricted, it’s harder for the body to pump blood to the sex organs. No blood, no arousal, no dripping between your legs.
When our body is creating stress hormones like cortisol, we don’t have the bandwidth to create sex hormones like testosterone and estrogen. The HPA axis works with the HPG (hypothalamic pituitary gonadal) axis to ensure our survival—the stress response ensures the survival of our body, the sex response ensures the survival of our species. We need to protect our body first so that it’s possible to protect our species.
It’s why researchers have found that chronic stress is associated with most sexual dysfunction like low libido, low arousal, infertility, distractability, erectile dysfunction, and premature ejaculation (Bodenmann et al 2006; Hamilton & Meston 2013; Pressman et al 2018).
Imagine now that the jaguar jumps into the pool with you, lunging to clamp her piercing jaws around your skull, your HPA axis is working overtime.  You are exploding with stress and not one drop of pleasure.
The jaguar is your thoughts, roaming the forest of your mind, waiting to creep up on you when you least expect it, especially when you’re dripping wet...
