OH CAN YOU IMAGINE regulus whos never had any experience of romance before except from romance novels wanting to try that stuff eith james except James doesnt know that hes trying that stuff with him.

like for example, james is ranting and regulus kisses him to shut him up, and obviously james a very eager? so regulus is like mmMm. im going to need to do this more often. except as regulus continues to do it, james notices the pattern and thinks that regulus doesnt like him ranting, so he stops. and when regulus notices that hes stopped, he thinks that james doesn't want regulus kissing him so often. amd then for a week theyre both on eggshells around eachother until one of them cracks and they both just laugh.

and then james teases regulus saying that he bets theres other, more enjoyable things in the books he reads that they could recreate. (regulus turns into a tomato)

regulus wearing remus's jumper ONE TIME and sirius going absolutely feral thinking they're dating.

and when sirius finally calms down, he immediately goes full matchmaking mode.

but instead of helping, he just makes it worse.

fast forward to a gryffindor party.

they get drunk

they go upstairs

and yeah, they fuck.

and the best part?

sirius thinks he made it happen.

meanwhile remus and regulus are like “we would’ve shagged ages ago if he just stayed out of it.”

Regulus and Remus are baking a cake for Sirius's birthday.

Remus tries to flirt. It’s tragic.

Remus: “So… Regulus… your hands are… very… um. Competent.”

Regulus: “Competent.”

Remus: “And I’m… not immune to them.”

Regulus *blink*:

Remus: “Okay I might be in love with you and I’m trying to flirt but you’re so composed and hot and I don’t even know if you—”

Regulus *grabs him by the apron strings and kisses him against the counter*:

One night, when Remus comes back to the flat he shared for a month with Sirius's little brother, he finds Regulus’s private journal left open on the counter.

He can't help but take a look.

He reads one line: “Remus Lupin has hands that could ruin a man.”

Remus slams it shut, knocks over a candle, dies inside. And then Regulus walks in: “Did you touch my book?”

All Remus says: “No. I can’t read.”

They fuck for the rest of the night.
