i'm trying real hard not to burn myself out and to take a break from writing to just like recharge a little, unfortunately that leads to me digitally pacing where i hop from app to app trying to figure out how to spend my time
#i played around with a bunch of the lines and ideas that i had written down during my hiatus#and was able to write enough to fill up this month's schedule but now that i'm not i'm just standing here with my hands in my pockets

Collar & Leash by Kara
Protection was your offer, but Restriction is the promise To accept is not a question, but A command spoken softly And though I have broken the chain Of the leash you called sanctity I still the wear the collar you gave Clinging to that which is no longer there

in my old intro post i had my poetry in a sort of directory organized by month and i had decided to not include it this time, but i keep going back and forth on that choice
i just don't know how useful it was ya know, if people want it, i'm willing to put in the work and tag everything by month (the mass post editor makes that easy enough so it doesn't even take that long)
idk, i think i'm just rambling, i've been staring at my desktop for like 20 minutes wondering what i wanna do lol

Black Box by Kara
In passing times In silent times You'll find the beast In its black box The beast Has a hunger that doesn't growl With eyes that can only see itself And claws that it can't retract From its black box The beast awaits the next meal Chewing its fingers, never satisfied For the beast only consumes without tasting
