📍Iron Mountain with Ellie Lane Trail . We're 4 weeks into the Trailblaze Challenge! Today was my official 2nd training hike with the group, though I did manage to get some miles in last week with a few other Trailblazers. The weather was great and it was awesome to see so many people out on the trail, all training for such a great cause. I'm excited to have these hikes to look forward to every week until the big day. Ran the Hot Chocolate 15k this morning! I didn't PR, but I beat the time I thought I was supposed to beat. 😅 Finished the race in 01:35:09. So I guess next year will be my year! . I got to start the race with fellow members of @trailblazechallengesd. Continuously showing our support for Make-A-Wish and running for the kids! . Trailblaze Training Hike #4 to Cowles/Pyles Peak! ✔ . Forecast predicted rain this morning. I'm not going to lie, I worried about wet socks. 😅 But then, I reminded myself.. that this challenge is about being part of something much bigger than myself (& my worry of wet socks)! So, I am glad I woke up early on this rainy day and made it out there with @caroleeeeeeena and @trailblazechallengesd. It turned out to be a beautiful morning.. Clouds rolling in on the hills, great views, new friends, and best of all? Practically empty trails to enjoy the hike with my fellow TBCers. We did not let a little rain or mud stop us! .
