The Inkey List PHA Toner
The Inkey List PHA Toner
I’ve really been loving using the PHA toner from The Inkey Listas I find it to be a lot more gentle on the skin in comparison to using products that contain AHAs and BHAs. I don’t mind using BHAs, salicylic acid is an ingredient that I swear by and has helped my skin out a lot in the last few months, but my skin is too sensitive to use a glycolic acid toner all the time; even just a couple times…

Ole Henriksen Truth Juice Daily Cleanser
Ole Henriksen Truth Juice Daily Cleanser
I’ve seen this Ole Henriksen cleanser all over my feed so I picked it up from Boots a couple months ago when it was on offer. My favourite cleanser is the Fourth Ray Beauty BFD cleansing oil so I always compare back to this one and there are definitely a couple of differences.
This is fragranced and smells of oranges (although Ole Henriksen did reach out to me and explained that this contains no…

The Body Shop Tea Tree 3 in 1 Wash Scrub Mask
The Body Shop Tea Tree 3 in 1 Wash Scrub Mask
I haven’t used The Body Shop tea tree range in a while as my skin has been quite sensitive recently and this can be quite harsh on my skin. However, I am trying to use up products that have been opened and stored on my shelf for a while now before opening all my new stuff in my drawers, so I’ve been using the 3 in 1 wash scrub mask for the last couple weeks.
I don’t use this as a wash or a mask…

Pixi Hydrating Milky Peel
Pixi Hydrating Milky Peel
I managed to pick this up a few months ago from my local boots for £12 in their clearance section, which usually contains products that are close to their use by date or damaged goods, but honestly there was nothing wrong with this and it was completely sealed and brand new so it was definitely a bargain buy.
I always cleanse my skin first using the vitamin c juice cleanser just to make sure my…

The Inkey List C-50 Blemish Night Treatment
The Inkey List C-50 Blemish Night Treatment
The first time I tried this, I wasn’t really that impressed. My pump didn’t seem to work at all as no product came out, the texture was a little thicker than I would’ve liked and it did pill after application (I did wonder if it was due to other products I used at the time).
Fast forward a couple weeks and I’ve tried this again; my pump works fine and the texture is like a thin jelly, completely…

Revolution Skincare Hydration Boost
Revolution Skincare Hydration Boost
I never really normally suffer badly with dry skin but in the last month I’ve had a few dry patches on my cheeks, so I’ve added the Revolution Skincare Hydration Boost back into my routine.
Almost instantly the dryness had eased up and keeping on top of using this along with other products in my skincare routine, my skin isn’t as dry as it used to be and instead feels soft and hydrated after…

Fourth Ray Beauty BFD Cleansing Oil
Fourth Ray Beauty BFD Cleansing Oil
I did used to prefer a cleansing balm to take off my makeup but recently I have been loving using the Fourth Ray Beauty BFD Cleansing Oil instead. I take a cloth/flannel first (usually a Danielle Creations Erase Your Face Cloth), run this under some luke warm water and squeeze out the excess water so it’s just damp. I then apply 2-3 pumps of the oil into my hands and then rub them together to…

Ole Henriksen Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub
Ole Henriksen Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub
So I’ve seen Ole Henriksen all over my feed for a while now and since this is stocked in Boots, I did pick up the balance babies mattifying oil control set to try a couple of bits out. Included in the set is the pore-balance facial sauna scrub and as you can see, I have repurchased this in the full size tube.
Initially I never checked the ingredients of this and this contains glycolic acid,…

The Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser
The Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser
This was sold out for the longest out for the longest time and I’m honestly not surprised. It really is a staple in my skincare routine but I don’t use it everyday, I use it once a day every other day and use other products in between.
I have the worst skin at the moment; combination, acne-prone and sensitive is not a great mix, but this does such a good job at keeping my skin clear and helps to…

Pixi Zero Zit
I’ve had my eye on the Pixi Zero Zit for a while now and Look Fantastic had this on sale for £11 just after Christmas, so I decided to pick this up to try since I suffer from breakouts quite a lot.
Not going to lie, I’m a little disappointed with this product. When I first used this, it seemed as if the tube was full of air as nothing initially came out. Eventually when the product did come out…

Superdrug Me+ Hyaluronic Booster
Superdrug Me+ Hyaluronic Booster
I’ve been using this hyaluronic booster from Superdrug for just over a week now and have a couple of first impression thoughts about it.
Comparing this to the hyaluronic acid serumthat I usually use from The Inkey List, I would say that this product is definitely a little more thicker in texture and whilst I do prefer that this has a dropper system to it, it doesn’t really make it any easier…

If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen me discuss my skincare routine in a summarised post as part of my ‘skincare week’ takeover. This blog post will pretty much be the same as the instagram post but it will be more detailed as I ran out of room in the caption.
The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter and Eye Makeup Remover
When it comes to removing my makeup, these are the only two products I will use. They’re both perfect for sensitive skin and remove pretty much every bit of makeup from my face.
Pixi Vitamin C Juice Cleanser
I tend to use this instead of the camomile cleansing butter when it comes to creating my eye looks that I post on instagram as I don’t apply a full face of makeup for these. It’s mainly my right eye I will apply eyeshadow to and again, this is really soft on my skin and it doesn’t irritate my eyes when removing the makeup.
Pixi Milky Tonic
This is an extra step I add into my routine to make sure I have removed every trace of makeup from my skin before I use more products. I apply a small amount onto a cotton pad and rub this over my face to ensure my face is clean.
Nip and Fab Salicylic Fix Day Pads
I’ve just finished my first tub of these and I really have noticed a difference to my skin. I only need to use one in the morning so my skin is refreshed and cleansed before applying makeup.
Pixi Vitamin C Tonic
Another tonic I will use alongside the milky tonic but instead of making sure my makeup is removed, this one helps to brighten up my skin.
Nip and Fab Salicylic Fix Night Pads
I’ve also finished my first tub of these and again, I only need to use one on a night. However, I’ve been using so many other products recently so I haven’t started my new tub yet. It’s still a product I would recommend to everyone as I did notice improvements to my skin when I used this alongside the day pads and I will use these if I don’t need to deep cleanse my skin or if I’m too lazy to complete my full skincare routine.
Pixi Vitamin C Lotion
I love this moisturiser. It doesn’t feel sticky after application and it sinks into the skin leaving it feeling lovely and soft.
Pixi Vitamin C Caviar Balm
So I think it’s pretty clear that Pixi is now one of my favourite brands when it comes to skincare. Everything I’ve tried has worked wonders for my skin and I will definitely be purchasing all 3 minis in full sizes as soon as these are empty. The caviar balm is probably my favourite from the range as I don’t own anything else like this; it’s a leave on mask that leaves my skin looking brighter and feeling moisturised at the same time.
Revolution Skincare Niacinamide Essence Spray
The last step in my routine. Once I’ve allowed my Pixi vitamin c caviar balm to sink in, I’ll give my face a quick spritz of this spray as this is also perfect for helping to prevent breakouts. I also used this a lot when we had the heatwave as it did help to refresh my skin.

I didn’t bother uploading a June favourites blog post as I didn’t really try anything new out since I went on holiday for a week, so I didn’t want to start any on any new skincare or makeup products in case my skin had a reaction or a break out. I’ve definitely made up for it in July though as I’ve constantly been buying and testing out new products so keep reading to find out what I’ve been loving this month.
I’ve been using the Revolution Pro prime and hydrate primer since the end of June and it’s definitely my current favourite primer to use at the moment. I’m sure I don’t need to remind everyone about the heatwave we’ve just had but this worked well for my skin during these hot periods. I did also use this on holiday and it really is perfect for those who have dry skin and are looking for a hydration boost. It also smells like coconuts so that’s another bonus.
The ultra satin lip formula from Colourpop has always been one of my favourites. It’s not easy to get a hold of in the UK as you can only order these direct from their website but you don’t have to pay those dreaded extra customs charges anymore as it’s all included at checkout. I have a few different shades in my collection but I’ve been wearing the shade aquarius for most of my looks and I just love it. It’s part of their collaboration with Kathleen Lights, who is one of my favourite youtubers, and aquarius is my star sign so it’s definitely a thumbs up from me. If you haven’t tried this formula out yet then I highly recommend that you do.
For £4, you really can not go wrong with these eyeshadow palettes from Revolution. I’ve been using the newtrals 2 eyeshadow palette a lot this month as I can create so many different looks with it. It’s pigmented, doesn’t really have much fallout and the colour payoff when applied to your eyes is better than some of my high end palettes.
I’ve been struggling with my skin for a few months now due to some medication I’m on for a condition I was diagnosed with in December. As I shared in my May favourites post, I’ve been using the Nip and Fab salicylic fix day and night pads and these have really helped with my skin, so when I saw the range on special offer I just had to pick up the rest of the products. I’ve only used the tonic a couple of times as it does say extreme on the front of the packaging but this hasn’t irritated my sensitive skin at all, instead it’s actually quite refreshing. However, the 2 main stand out products for me are the gel cleanser and facial scrub. I use these every other day and honestly my skin has never looked better. I don’t usually like using a scrub as I find them too harsh on my skin but this one applies more smoothly than ones I’ve tried in the past. Once I’ve applied this and washed it off, I then apply the cleanser which again leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.
I have way too many highlighters so it’s actually hard for me to believe I’ve managed to pick just one to feature in a monthly favourites post. I’ve found myself reaching for the Revolution dare to divulge reloaded highlighter over my high end highlighters (Ofra, Stila, Ciate and MAC) as the pigmentation of this is so good for only £3. You really don’t need to apply a lot to your brush as a little does go a long way but it can still be built up if you do really love to glow.
Another skincare product I’ve been loving is the Revolution skincare aloe vera and water lily soothing face mask. I actually wasn’t planning on testing this out yet but after having a really bad reaction to a biore face mask, I applied this once I’d removed the other one and instantly felt relief. It really does help to sooth and calm down the skin so I know this is going to become a staple for me, especially during hot weather and on holiday.
I never really use bullet type lipsticks as I prefer to use a liquid lipstick but Revolution Pro have definitely got this formula right. As I’ve already stated above, the Colourpop ultra satin lips is one of my favourites so as soon as I saw Revolution Pro announce they were releasing 6 satin matte lipsticks, I just knew I had to pick these up. Stripped is definitely the colour I will be using everyday as it’s such a perfect pinky nude shade. They do dry matte but they feel comfortable on the lips and you don’t really need to reapply throughout the day.
Revolution have obviously dominated my monthly favourites this time but I promise I have been delving into other brands ready to put together my August favourites. Let me know what you’ve been loving this month.

May Favourites
Tumblr media
As well as keeping you all updated with what I currently have in my makeup collection at the moment, I’ve decided to start doing my monthly favourites posts again as I don’t think I’ve done this since 2017. There’s so many products that I’ve been using this month and therefore I have quite a few favourites to share with you. Originally I was just going to talk about what makeup products I have…

Makeup collection - primers
Makeup collection – primers
Tumblr media
After a good year long break away from blogging, I’m finally getting back into it and figured what better way to come back than to go through my entire makeup collection. I did share my collection 2 years ago but I have obviously updated my collection since so thought I would share what I currently own now, plus add in my thoughts about each product and whether I will repurchase any of these…
