Working on an Article for Niagara-News

Really excited, I've been wanting to write about this for ages! Just sent the proposal to my Journalism teacher, and I'll e-mail the subject matter about asking some questions soon.

I'm sorry. All I can say is that I thought that you guys were busy with school and stuff, and blame my cell phone, but I'm still really, really sorry.

Hey, answer your phone! You've completely fallen off the face of the earth!

Heh, I probably do seem like it if you're whoever kept texting me the word 'hey'! My newish cell phone was messing up badly and I only noticed when it did more then only let through a few texts (mostly just from numbers I added after starting this school year) and I took it to get fixed. So I've basically been missing a LOT of texts. My email is kendrapg@hotmail.com and my cell phone SHOULD be in commision again! (I'm using a loaner phone from rogers, but it's my old phone number. Plus my real phone is working again, I just need to grab it from the Rogers store.) Try and contact me again, seriously! I've been kind of wondering why some people weren't contacting me at all. >.< Turns out they probably thought I was dead/being a bitch! I'm really sorry, whoever anon is, and if you're one of the many many people I know in the Niagara region (...okay, by which I mean "Alex"), we should hang out soon. If not, then e-mail me and we can talk. c:

EDIT: I forgot to say how I know someone was texting me 'hey' repeatedly. When I started up my loaner phone it had a notifier that said I got like a huge amount of texts saying 'hey' and I think it had more then one number (no names which made it complicated) and I could only text one of those numbers back. I wasn't able to get that notified back, though, and couldn't text anyone else back- plus those messages weren't even kept on the phone. Eurgh! xP Plus of COURSE none of my contacts are on this stupid Nokia flip phone.

Haha, I've been so busy with school lately that I didn't even notice this had gone up! Womanthology is one of the most exciting projects I've ever been a part of, and I am so, so happy to have gotten this opportunity, to be published with so many talented women!

Womanthology is proud to feature a page from the book! The spotlight today belongs to a story written by Kendra Pape-Green, Illustrated by Vanessa Satone and with colors by Kimberly Ann Black.

First up Kendra is an attendee of the Journalism Program at Niagara College. She is an avid writer on her Tumblr and Her Blogspot. She will also be published in the Niagara News: The community paper for Niagara College.

Vanessa Satone has self published 2 volumes of her webcomic Wasted Minds as well as 2 collections of short stories, and several mini comics. Besides Womanthology, Vanessa has created stories for the anthologies: Broad Appeal, The Girls guide to Guys Stuff, and Sugar Ninjas: Sweet: Vol 3. In addition Vanessa is a letter and touch-up artist for Viz.

Finally Kimberly Ann Black contributed the colors for this story. She is now doing color assists on Mythica, a comic  created by Matt Campbell and written by Willian Tooker. Mythica will be releasing one page a week every Monday on Matt Campbell’s website. Kimberly will also be working on a comic called Black Alpha created by Tom Rasch. While coloring for comics, Kimberly keeps a Deviant art page and you can follow her on Facebook as well.

My teacher was almost in serendipity apparently

Two of my cousins were fighting over a chance to use my camera, and a bit of wrestling happened. Thank god no one was hurt! Of course, by no one, I mean my camera. I have another semester of photography classes after all.

But I kinda liked how this picture looked, so I thought I'd post it.

Back in classes

And I'm looking forwards to getting into a routine this time. Even if I have two early-morning classes. xP English is apparently focusing more on diction this term which should make it slightly more interesting, despite the continued presence of the teacher who won't let me ask questions. And we're learning pagination, which while the learning curve might be a bit dull at the moment, I'm hoping to get a handle on since my mom mentioned she might know a way for me to make some money this summer if I learned it.
