Hello! Friendly reminder that if you're going to get a buneary, PLEASE learn about their body language. Buneary, especially if they're wild-caught or poorly socialized from a bad breeder, can be very temperamental and spiteful! Their popularity as pets means that breeders don't always have their best interests at heart, or trainers catch them thinking they got a cute new friend. Sorry to break it to you, but wild buneary hate you with the passion of a spiteful God.

A LOT of their body language is shown through their ears!

One ear curled, one up

This is the most common position you'll see a buneary in. Since they're prey animals, they'll nearly always have one ear curled up in case they need to hit something. This doesn't mean they don't trust you, but ALSO doesn't mean they're fully content or not weary of you. Consider it neutral to positive learning. If nothing else, your buneary is feeling confident in it's ability to protect itself.

Unless it's extremely cold or windy, this is an EXTREMELY BAD SIGN! Even when asleep one ear should stay up. Your buneary is defensive! This might mean that it's sick or feels extremely unsafe in their current environment or with the people/Pokémon around it. Do not attempt to pick up the buneary, a hit from it's ears can literally break your bones. If it won't come to you, please transport it in a pokéball, its the safest option for everyone involved.

One curled, one half raised

Still bad! This might mean you have a spooked buneary where it might not totally sure if it's in danger or not and doesn't want to sacrifice too much hearing. If your buneary is friendly with you, but has it's ears like this, they might have anxiety or feeling confused. Might be a sign it's getting unwell.

Both up

A buneary might briefly raise both its ears to hear better, but if they stay up, it's typically a sign if great trust! It's ears are it's weapons, uncurled ears means they feel completely safe, enough so to overwrite their prey-instincts to be prepared to protect itself.

It's mostly because youve got this like. Aura of power tbh, your reputation really is that of one of the strongest champions of like, all time anywhere. It's hard to get over the nerves!

It also might be a case of that uh? Multiverse thing? I've heard a ton about. I have a feeling your universe is way kinder than mine.

Either way though, maybe I'll actually pull the trigger on that this year...........

Hey I'm Key and I made this blog to continue to procrastinate challenging the Pokemon league in Sinnoh. I'm 28 now, genderqueer, and use they/them pronouns. Buneary fan for life. I grew up in Sinnoh, tried to challenge the league as a kid but couldn't follow through, then went back at it again when I was like 25. Now I sit outside the E4 building doing fuck all.

Behold my team-

Phoenix the Crobat- team flier, and my ace. We have a whole flight harness apparatus set up and often soar together to kill time.

Milk the Mamoswine- Newest addition, strong powerful and thinks he's smaller than he is.

Big Mama the Gyrados- Team mom and mentor to Milk, hits like a freight train.

Communism the Blissey- Healer of the team and the sweetest pokemon you've ever met.

Benedict the Togetic- Funny Jokester type guy who considers Phoenix his best friend and in-battle partner. Crazy good synergy together.

And my sweet baby son who hates the universe, Binted the Buneary- thinks the world is beneath him (it is) and that he's the most powerful badass Buneary in it (he is). We used to not get along because I couldn't communicate that his allergy to potions was why he got herbal meds that tasted like shit, and not because I hated him forever. Now he's got moomoomilk instead which works better and tastes better and he loves me. Hates everything else though so watch out.

Made by the same guy who runs @actualtrainerred , Key is an oc based on a nuzlocke I ran of Platinum that I haven't finished because I'm scared of Cynthia, which reflects in Key's behavior of not challenging the E4 yet despite having qualified since they were 24. They see this as procrastination, but they're just genuinely afraid of losing more teammates, because in the world they come from pokemon regularly die in battles due to both corruption at the league and poor infrastructure for medical care, both human and pokemon.

Key is also based off of a now mostly defunct RP blog, @nuzlocke-n-key , where I more traditionally roleplayed them. I might do that again at some point, but for now here's this.

Key is also bisexual and intersex, but doesn't feel inclined to put it on their rotomblr blog.

No DNI, I don't feel like they're useful for me, just know I block like I'm married to the block button. Magic anons are off and I'm not? Sure? What all the other things are and at this point I'm too afraid to ask. You can send them stuff in the mail though I'll allow that.
