I cannot even begin to explain just how utterly unhinged Tim is about Kon in this entire arc, he's literally ready to burn his entire life and career to the ground for Kon, he absolutely refuses to budge on that Kon didn't do it, that he knows Kon, that it doesn't matter if he has to stand up against every single other one of his friends and the entire government, he is READY TO FUCKING GO BECAUSE IT'S FOR KON. Just so, so many instances of everyone else going, "Tim, this looks bad, this looks like he did it, we can't jeopardize everything like th--" While Tim just glares at them and is holding up a container of gasoline and a match and going, "I will burn this world down for Kon, don't fucking test me." And then bonus scene of, "hunky teen with godlike powers" because, look, I know Johns probably didn't really intend Tim to be read this way, but woof does Tim come off as just absolutely, utterly in love with Conner, especially when he's narratively pitted against Cassie, who isn't even as central to Kon's story as Tim is, she cares, but the emotional heart is on Tim, that Tim is the one who loves him so much that he can't let go, that the emotional climax is that Tim has to be the one to let him go, that Tim is the one dealing with his emotions about this. It's not just that Tim's unhinged, because Tim's always unhinged about things he cares about, but that everything centers around how desperately Tim loves Kon, how he cannot be rational about this person despite that he's a Bat, that this person just undoes Tim, cuts him to the core, that this is the one person that Tim will burn everything to the ground for. That's the narrative arc of this story, that this one person is everything here, greater than everything else for Tim.
