We may get what we want after going through challenges or not get what we want due to challenges. At this point in my life, I expect to be faced by challenges daily mainly because I don't expect everyone to like me case in point my father.

He dislikes the fact that I visit my uncle's house every weekend.

I go swimming in my uncle's pool and afterwards I stay one or two nights. My uncle doesn't mind me staying at his place but my dad gets so jealous and angry.

I am faced with an issue of gastritis and I need to find ways of exercising. My uncle's swimming pool is at my disposal and I enjoy making use of it. But I have failed to understand my dad's choice to forbid me from going to my uncle's place.

The way I have handled this is by continuing to go to my uncle's place because I can't stop doing what I love over my father's childish tantrums.

I have learned that I don't have to listen to what the naysayers have to say but I should trust my gut instead because I am wise and I don't wish harm on other people.

I respect people's boundaries but my father has crossed the line by thinking he could break up the relationship between me and my uncle.

There comes a point in life where we get frustrated and fatigued by nonsense.

There are things that are just not meant to be.

There are things that are not meant to happen to us.

There are useless things or things that we consider useless.

We value some things more than we value others.

Many people want to think for us..They want to plan for us but we want to plan for ourselves.

We want to set the standard. We want to live beyond limits, beyond our means.

We want to transcend status quo.

We want to be above the normal range.

We want something else. I want something more.

I want to be great. I refuse to accept the bare minimum.

I choose to follow my heart and chase my dreams.

I choose to move on and move forward.

I choose to be led by my gut. I choose to follow my gut. I know what's best for me and I won't let other people dictate my life.

I choose to stand tall, to live above the rest of the crowd, to be unique, to be myself, to be a winner, to follow my call and be a man of value.

I won't devalue my standards for a degenerate.

You get sorrounded by toxic people who say lies about you or things you don't agree with. It's an ambush and a war of ideas.

This happens to be my mother much of the time and my father the rest of the time.

I try not to give it any attention so that this situation calms down but they keep coming back to me, bringing up falsehoods and things I don't agree with.

With many African societies, you are not allowed to be a free thinker, a liberal, a free spirit, an independent person, someone who can make decisions on their own, to look after themselves, to make their own friends, to live out their lives freely, to be free like a bird and fly, to be innovative, to create a path of their own, to breathe in and out, to have their own space, their own life, their prestige, respect and a name for themselves.

Many elders even my own brother fear giving space to the young ones to shine, to let their lights shine bright, to give up power to the next generation, to pass on the torch, to allow continuity, to allow progress, to let people be themselves, to create harmony, to be their own selves.

People don't want to respect human rights, to respect people's decisions, their privacy, their notions, their perspectives and their free will.

Free will is a gift from God but they take that away from the powerless.

It is absurd how things function in some communities.

The fight for freedom is a battlefield of the mind and heart.

Don't let anyone take it from you.
