It’s been a year.
We are forever indebted to all of you who submitted and made Sibol “pos-sibol” (pun intended). We definitely want to deliver more (like magazine issues, fun virtual activities, and stuff) for you, but we are currently short-staffed.
It goes without saying that our being short-staffed is the reason why we haven’t been responding to those who are having difficulties reading/downloading the first issue of Kintal Folio. Worry no more! Just click the links below and rediscover Sibol. Don’t miss out this time.

A lot has changed since the start of the year-- some changes we expected, some we never imagined could be possible, some better be ignored, but some should be given attention.
Christian Patricio, whose work we already featured before, once again reminds us to be vigilant and to have the courage to invoke our rights when necessary.
Watch his recital of the poem Hindi na Ito ang Panahon and prepare to have your eyes opened.

Sibol, the first issue of Kintal folio, is a product of the raw talent of its contributors and the hard work of our small team. Its creation is indeed an arduous but gratifying journey in itself.
While we wait for its launch on the 23rd, let's watch one of Sibol's contributors recite her poem from the folio.
Robelle Cordova's First Step is the green light you need today to start your journey.

Hi, ano na pong updates tungkol dito sa Kintal? 😅
Hi! We are already in the process of editing the folio. If you submitted your work/s, please check your email to see if your work/s made it to the folio or not.
If you haven't received any email, it's either because: (1) you submitted an artwork, and it was selected; or (2) you submitted a written work which was selected, and no revisions were needed.
If you want to double check if your work/s was/were really selected, please send us a private message here or email us at [email protected]. Please also check your spam and junk mails before asking us about your submissions. Thank you!

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we, like everyone else, would like to ask you all to stay at home, practice social distancing, take your vitamins and wash your hands regularly. On top of that, we recommend all of you creatives here on Tumblr (especially those who are in battle with the anxiety caused by the lockdown in Luzon) to DO YOUR THING.
For those whose responsibilities were somehow reduced, this might be a good chance to finish your passion projects. Take time to find some inspiration by reading the books on your to-read list or watch films you have been wanting to watch.
We also encourage you to help kill COVID-19 with passion. Through your writings or art, you can help in informing the public on the things they need to do to stop the spread of the virus. You may create a photo essay on social distancing, a poem on handwashing guidelines, or a comic strip to combat fake news. Let your creativity overflow and flood your anxiety.
If something has to die today, it’s our procrastination. We survive as a nation, and our passion lives with us.

Missed watching spoken poetry live? We do, too!
But for now, let's all be good citizens and avoid gatherings. Just chill at home, reminisce about the good times you had with your friends, and play this bingo challenge with us!
