Kiradormi background info
Lovely art posted below are done by the amazing and talented @dorksofwarcraft Thanks for bringing my girl to life! <3
This is Kira’s humanoid form. The tail helps her with her balance ;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kira is a heavenly golden cloud serpent who takes up roost on the Timeless Isle near Pandaria. She is a very young cloud serpent due to the mysterious time nature of the isle. She is very curious about the world in which she lives. Ever since she was a hatchling she has been on her own, never knowing her mother. Having to fight for scraps from the other cloud serpents she has learned to hold her own and doesn’t back down from a fight. Respectfully her upbringing makes her compassionate and resourceful. Being bigger and more developed as a heavenly cloud serpent, she has earned respect among other cloud serpents and they tend to shy away from her.
Kira’s body is a light gold all throughout, not ombre like other cloud serpents. Her narrow and agile serpent body allows her to weave through terrain easily, and can fly faster than most other cloud serpents. In comparison to the male could serpents Kira’s features are: her face is narrower with no hair under her chin, and no strips of hair project from her snout, she is just a bit smaller for a cloud serpent her age. She can breathe lightening.
Short Story:
When strangers arrived on the shores of Pandaria Kira saw the smoke and heard the clash of metal and decided to investigate. She often traveled away from her roost and knew the Jade Forest very well. Kira was familiar with the Pandaren but never understood their tongue ( It is my theory that cloud serpents understood draconic similar to other dragon flights; the Pandaren didn’t speak it because the only dragon they have come into contact with is Yu’lon and she is an entirely different being from a regular cloud serpent). When Kira sees the races of the Horde she goes in for a closer look. Keeping her body low to the ground and in tall grass she comes up to a Horde encampment. As she creeps forward she hears a shout coming from behind her “Look out!” Being too late she steps in a trap that snaps shut on her front claw. Roaring in pain she began to panic, and bite at the trap. She heard rustling behind her and was bewildered when a human came out of the tall grass hands raised as to show no sign of aggression. Kira quickly whipped her tail around trying to knock the human off his feet. He dodged with ease saying “Woah! Easy there, I am just trying to help!” Still trying to break free, Kira paused for a brief second because she could understand what the human was saying. He reached for the trap and Kira hissed in retaliation. “Stop making so much noise or we will both be dead!” Kira was so dazed at the fact that she could understand this tiny man but heard noise from the encampment. She stopped tensing her body and looked at the man, “Please hurry, little one.”
The man laughed and began to cast a spell. Magic surrounded them encasing them in a bubble. Looking in wonder Kira watched as the men from the encampment began to walk backwards, running back toward the camp, fronts still facing where the bubble was. Projections of both Kira and the human began to move back in time. Kira looked down at the human and saw a cheeky grin. When he was done casting the spell Kira was creeping forward in the grass again. She paused and looked down at her claw which was previously encased in a trap. Nothing was there. Inching her head forward she saw the trap and backed up.
Her tail brushed up against something and Kira snapped around to see the human who had just helped her. “Are you okay, little one?” he asked and laughed in a mocking manner. Kira squinted her eyes and looked the human up and down, “How is it that you speak my tongue? Where did you come from? What magic did you use to help me?” The man chuckled, turned around and began to walk the other direction. “You are quite the curious little serpent.” Kira was annoyed at how she was being called little when she could tower over the tiny creature. “Serpent? This ‘serpent’ is a lot bigger than you!” she hissed at him. “I mean no offense my friend. In the world, your kind is known as a cloud serpent. Another type of dragon. Though you are a bit different from other cloud serpents, are you not?” Kira was walking next to the human now and she paused as the man looked up to her. “Yes I am. You still have not answered my questions.” He shrugged and continued walking. Kira tilted her head, never has she seen a thing so sure of itself…yet so tiny. Sounds of waves crashing against the cliffs were becoming less distant and Kira wondered where he was going. “I am your kin. At least I believe I am. Distant relative potentially. That is actually what I am here to find out.  I helped you by turning back time and placing us in the moment before curiosity almost killed the cat.” Kira noticed they were at the rocky cliff on the edge of the Jade Forest. She quickly snaked in front of him to stop him from walking off the edge. “Kin? What does that word even mean! What is a cat?”
The human smiled and laughed “You are a strange, yet delightful creature. I have talked too many of your kind yet you are the first to show interest beyond your instincts. You make me wonder…I have to go now. The others are waiting for me. What is your name, little serpent?” Kira had so many questions and still wondered if this was all just a dream. “I am known as Kira.” The man looked up to her and reached out his hand to touch the scales on her body. “Kira. That’s beautiful. I am known as Narsdormu but you can call me Nars. We will meet again friend.” He walked towards the edge of the cliff, turned around and motioned ‘good bye’ then jumped off the edge. “Kira gasped and darted and took flight over the edge. She paused in the air because she couldn’t find the man anywhere.  “Nars!” she called out. Her roar echoed against the rocks and was then lost in the sounds of crashing waves. Still scanning the water below her ears picked up a noise she had not heard before. A thunderous thrum of air going up and down. Off in the distance golden scales shimmered against the sun and off the blue waters below; the creature was flying towards the Timeless Isle. Kira raced after the gold spec in the distance.
This was a short into story of how Kira first met Narsdormu roughly around the beginning of the Pandaria expansion. Kira finds him at the Timeless Isle and is overwhelmingly fascinated by his stories and asks thousands of questions. Kira wants to learn about everything and Nars is happy to help her. Over time they grow very close to one another. She learns about his flight and is duty as a Watcher and falls in love with him. Near the end of the expansion Nars brings Kira to the Caverns of Time to talk to Norzdormu about becoming a fellow member of the Bronze Dragon flight. Norzdormu agreed and Kira became a dragonsworn (Watcher in training). Kira was now Kiradormi and was a member of the Bronze Flight. She felt like she had a family now.
Narsdormu was charged with her training and he took Kira to a different plane of existence. It was in this plane, within the Caverns of Time, that whelps and eggs were kept safe, time lines where checked, and members of the Bronze flight would train. There were minutes, days, months, and years in this plane. However a day in this plane of existence was a mere few hours in Azeroth. It is here that Nars trained Kira. Kira learned how to shape back and forth from her humanoid form to dragon form with ease. Nars taught her how to fight in hand to hand combat along with aerial combat as a dragon. Often times she impressed him with her speed and agility. A huge part of her training was learning history, and Kira loved every second of it. When she wasn’t practicing fighting her nose was in a book. When Nars felt that it was right he only started to dabble into teaching her time magic, though Kira caught on quick to healing making them a deadly duo.
Several, Several years had passed in this other plane and when the Legion returned to Azeroth. Kira and Nars went back out into the world to face the threat together alongside the mortals of the world. (Nars takes on the role of a warrior due to his brute strength, Kira is a disc priest because of her healing and deadly damaging abilities.)

Day 3 for #mermay2018 I have been playing a lot of ESO lately and I ran across Nereids! I thought that they looked so different and beautiful so I wanted to draw one.....or try to? This took me about a hour and I am not pleased with it at all (probably the only thing is the forearm fin spikes that took me a few seconds, i was just happy with the perspective! <3) I wanted to try to draw with a different pose and also my camera phone is terrible (it looks semi- decent in person). Some days are better than others! Tomorrow I wont try to do such a big piece.

Quick doodles for the first day of #mermay2018 I did these with paper/pencil and used a negative filter to see them better. Did my best to capture movement, did I do well? 😄 I don't think I am going to follow a prompt this month but rather use this as a opportunity to create and practice digital art. Hopefully with in the next few days I am going to get my first tablet!

Thought games would help but it didnt. Tried some music and drawing but that didnt either. Tomorrow is a new day and I hope a better one.

Welcome to the Horde
I often think about my OC, and my favorite artist’s OC and their potential interactions. While not being the best at drawing yet, at least I can write about it. I started following @Nidarosisart on twitter ( @dorksofwarcraft on tumblr) through a mutual friend when she did a bust sketch give away in Janurary. I am so happy to have, not only won that give away (check out my Zuella post!) but found a artist whom I really admire. Personality and art is just 10/10 and inspires me a lot. So I wanted to show a little extra appreciation! :D Hope you enjoy it.
Stepping out of the portal from Dalaran into Undercity was quiet a rush. It made Lunathel’s stomach churn. Since it was so far away from the city it took more of a toll on her body than a normal teleportation spell Oculeth would perform.  Lunathel’s large mana saber, Twilight, stepped through behind her. The trip didn’t seem to affect her as much. Luna looked in the bag that was hanging off the side of Twilight’s armor to make sure the package was still intact. A quick sigh of relief escaped when she lifted the bags flap and saw a purple light glowing at the bottom of the bag.
Lunathel looked around and saw two undead men looking back at her. She smiled and did well to hide her shock. This was her first time in Undercity, and her first time fully surrounded by the undead.
“Hello traveler. Welcome to The Undercity…” The decaying man with a metal plated jaw looked at Lunathel. She took the awkward pause to speak quickly.
“Hello, I am looking for the town of Brill. I was told it was close?”  Lunathel asked while mounting Twilight.
The man grunted and pointed in a general direction. “If you have the coin, the bat rider can get you there. Also the main sewer exit to the west of here will lead you out of the city. Look to the north-east when you are out and follow to the Zeppelin tower.” He paused and looked at Lunathel with squinting eyes. “You do know what a zeppelin is, right?”
She quickly nodded her head. The man scoffed and turned around continuing with what he was doing before she showed up.
Zeppelin? Indeed I am smart enough to figure it out, corpse.
Trying to hide the annoyed look on her face, Lunathel tugged on Twilight’s reins and they walked down the stairs away from the portals. Seeing an open area ahead Lunathel nudged the sides of Twilight and the saber responded with a hasty run and jumped into the air. Arcane angelic feathers formed from the swirling disks of Nightwell energy located on the shoulder blades of the sabers armor. Following a squadron of bat riders they made it out of the city somewhat with ease.
Upon exiting the sewer tunnel Luna saw a small ship with rope attaching it to what looked like a balloon. Small green creatures scurried about the deck.  And to Lunathel’s surprise it was very quick.
“That has to be it girl. Follow it!” Lunathel held on to the reins as the sabers quick burst of speed pushed her back in her saddle.
The zeppelin came to a halt at a soaring tower. Down below there was a town, and with a slight nudge Twilight dipped down to land at the entrance of it. Forsaken banners rolled down high stone walls that were lined with spikes. Deathguards looked at Lunathel, their blank expressions made her grab her bow from her sabers armor and place it on her back. Though the Nightborne were aligned with the Horde now, Luna still had an odd feeling about this place.
A soft and gentle voice startled Lunathel, “Do not pay them any mind. The guards are a lot scarier than they look! I can tell you are new around here, welcome to Brill!”
An undead woman with crazy spiked hair, and a brown dress looked up at Lunathel on her saber. Blushing and feeling embarrassed at her rude, defensive actions Lunathel smiled down at the woman.
“That I am not quite so sure of. They look very daunting; I am sure they protect the town well. My name is Lunathel Stormsong-“
The undead woman began to pet Twilight. Lunathel could feel the saber purr in response. “Where are my manners...” she quickly interrupted, “I am Doreen Beltis! What brings ya into town? I know it aint the scenery.”  She gave a wink and nudged the air with her elbow trying to be funny.
Chuckling at the peculiar woman Luna replied, “I am looking for a priest by the name of Aliain. Does she live nearby?”
Doreen nodded quickly, “Oh yes! Right outside of town, I can take ya there if you would like the company Luna.”
Her yellow glowing eyes and demeanor seemed too eager to help for Lunathel to refuse. Also not wanting to be even ruder than what she already felt, Lunathel motioned for her to lead the way. Scratching Twilight once more Doreen led them out of the town past a lengthy cemetery to a house.
“Here we are miss. It was a pleasure! Dark Lady watch over you!” Doreen skipped away back towards the town. Lunathel waved good bye and dismounted Twilight. She grabbed the package out of the side pack on the saddle and took a deep breath. She could tell that she was in the right place because plants flourished outside around the dwelling. Walking up to the door Lunathel adjusted her armor and fixed her hair. The door made a creak when opened, and again when Lunathel shut it.
“One moment! I’ll be right there!” a voice called out from the back part of the house. A few moments later an undead woman peaked her head around the corner and smiled at Lunathel when she came up from the back. Her robe was as elegant and colorful shades of blue, white, and gold. She was just as Lunathel remembered her; but the flowers were new. Blue and white buds sprouted from her exposed flesh that had once shown bare bone.
“Hello, I am Lunathel-“
“Stormsong, correct? You were part of Elisande’s council? If my memory serves me well still.” Aliain giggled. A shocked expression came over Lunathel’s face.
“I am surprised that you even remember me, miss. That was so long ago…” her voice trailed off.
A cheerful smile came across the undead’s face. “Yes it was at least several months ago. How is your wound? Is it healing nicely? I can always look at it again if you would like!”Aliain was already making her way over to Lunathel, hands out stretched to look at the scar.
“Again, your memory is astounding! I think it is, but can’t hurt to take a second look.” Lunathel set down the package on the table beside her pulled her chest piece up on the side reveling a pink, puffy scar. Aliain made a “tisk” noise and raised her hand to the scar.
“Oh no, this will not too. Don’t want you to turn into me now do we!” Her eyes glowed as Light magic pulsed from her hands. A warm sensation came over Lunathel as Aliain touched up the old wound. “What brings you out here to Brill Lady Stormsong?”
“My friends can call me Luna, Aliain. I came to find you and thank you for all that you did during the liberation of Suramar.”  Lunathel grabbed the package and began to unwrap it as she spoke. “Though still new to the Horde, you and your healer kin came together when my city was in dire need. You all showed compassion like there were no differences between us at all.”
She presented a flower that was in a glowing arcane pot. Aliain’s eyes grew wide and her hand covered her mouth with a shocked expression. Then she got real close to the flower careful not to touch it.
“Is it-? How did you-? Oh my..”
Lunathel chuckled. “It is a dusk lily; a token of my people. If it were not for your healing I am not sure if I would be standing here before you right now. I ran into a colleague of yours, a big Tauren fellow who made mention that you like fauna.” Lunathel handed the pot to Aliain whose eyes still looked at it with wonder. “Make sure you keep it in the pot! It needs arcane magic to prevent wilting. It will grow a lot over the next few days because the magic is still potent but it will fade soon enough.”
Looking back now at Lunathel, Aliain still seemed speechless but when she finally spoke her words at first seemed thick as if not to tear up. “Your wounds were great when you were brought to Shal’Aran for medical attention. Remember that day?” Her voice back to normal; still admiring the flower as she continued to speak. “You were asking about the other soldiers. Bleeding to death and almost passing out from the pain…you wanted to know how the others in the room were doing and asking about their conditions. Urging me to go help them,” she laughed. “You even said that you were fine and to ‘patch it’ and deal with it later.” She made air quotes with her fingers.
Lunathel laughed. Though she remembered much of that day, the severity of her wounds escaped her memories. “It was a long day for all of us. I made the trip to show my gratitude towards you. You helped saved my people that day...” Again Lunathel’s voice trailed off. Aliain set the glowing flower down on the table. Turned back around and took Luna’s hands in hers. With watery eyes she smiled.
“Our people. Welcome to the Horde, Luna.”

Zuella’s Background Story
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sketch done by the wonderful @Nidarosis on Twitter for me from her giveaway.
During the time period of vanilla and Burning Crusade Zuella was still a child and too young to leave the Darkspear Village. At a young age it was instilled in her that pride of people and the worship of the Loa was above all else. Growing into a very capable and spiritually sensitive resto druid Zuella came into her adulthood during the Cataclysm. When answering the Warcheif’s call to head to Hyjal she decided to stay and help heal the sacred place and became a part of the druid community, The Avengers of Hyjal. Here she enjoys her time and earns the trust of an Emerald Dragon who furthers her teaching.
She stayed there in Hyjal for many years. Even though she was surrounded by a majority of Night elf and Tauren druids she did not abandon her culture. Still very in touch with the spirits and voodoo magic (the altered version since Thrall said the Darkspear must before entering the Horde initially) she found their guidance to be something favored rather than feared and to be weary of.  Zuella, now a fully developed adult, had certain love interest from both factions come and go but none of them she wanted to pursue as a life mate.
It wasn’t until the attempted assassination on Vol’jin that she returned to the Horde. She was welcomed back with open arms from her tribe and earned respect almost immediately. Vol’jin himself even commented how the Loa favored her so. With the aid of the Alliance and the remaining Horde, Zuella helped with the plotting and liberation of Orgrimmar. Seeing Vol’jin become leader of the Horde in the throne room was one of the proudest and most emotional moments of Zuella’s life.
She stayed behind during Warlords to help see to the reconstruction of Orgrimmar and the retaking of Echo Isles for her people. She often returned to Hyjal to seek training with the Emerald Dragon and was happy to see the land of Hyjal flourishing. As a parting gift the Emerald Dragon infused her gloves with his dragon scales and in part gave the last bit of his diminished magic (which was still a lot even after the Cataclysm) before entering the Emerald Dream for eternity. Extremely humbled she returned to Orgrimmar at the request of Vol’jin and heroes to fight the demon invasion at the Broken Shore.
When Vol’jin died after the events of the Broken Shore she swore vengeance and wanted a front row seat to the Legion’s utter annihilation. Not fully trusting Sylvannas and her plans for the Horde, Zuella does what she must on the Broken Isles and leads the Druid Order Hall. Backed by the powerful Loa and strengthened by the potent connection to the Emerald Dream, Zuella is a sheer force of pure and raw nature that makes even Malfurion cautious to getting on her bad side.

Day 1 Draecember2017: A letter to someone
The stars were high in the sky when Kaviri stirred from her bed. Quietly she grabbed her bag and tried as quickly as she could to sneak out her window. Unlocking the window she froze and turned around to look toward her sister’s bed when the widow made a faint squeak. Kaviri’s sister continued to slumber. Kaviri knew she only had a few hours left before first light to get across Shadowmoon Valley to the rendezvous.  Exiting the window, she landed light as a feather from the upper balcony with a speedy levitation spell. The only sound in the night was her hooves hitting the path from her house to the stables nearby. Mounting her nether ray she was soaring over the rolling grasses of the valley in seconds. Kaviri looked back to see her village fading in the distance and looked forward to see Moonwillow Peak on the horizon.  She tightened the reins of Shaza who then responded with an increase in speed.
Upon landing near the great willow, Kaviri noticed she was the first to arrive. Rain drops started overhead and she moved under one of the great limbs of the willow. As time passed she feared that the man she was waiting for was not going to show. It wasn’t every night that he could manage to sneak away from Shaz’Gul. Reminding herself she knew that they were both at risk meeting here, him more so than her. To ease her anxiety she took out and quill and paper to write a note for him to find should he arrive later.
           “My light,
Today marks the third day that you have not come to the willow. I am starting to fear the worst…I have heard reports of dark magics coming from Shaz’Gul. I only have a few days until I am to go back to the markets in Shattrath City. I hope all is well and you are safe. I am not sure of when we will meet next, but I will find a way. Do not lose faith in me my star.
                                                           Kaviri”
The sound of Shaza’s hissing frightened Kaviri as she finished her note. Quickly getting to her feet and drawing her staff reflective eyes emerged from the plants next to where she was sitting. Apprehensive fear was quickly replaced with a sigh of relief. A large brown wolf with a scar on its right eye came up and nuzzled Kaviri’s leg. It was the man’s wolf whom she was secretly meeting with. Taking the animals head in her hands, she scratched behind his ears and looked toward the bushes expecting the man to come after. He did not. The wolf whimpered when he saw Kaviri’s gaze locked with the bushes.
Surely he would not just send Graha…
Continuing to pet the wolf she felt a harness strap with a cylinder attached to it. Upon opening it was the scribbled text from the man whom she was waiting for. Kaviri smiled, for it was ritual celebration that was keeping him away. His letter reassured her that time would not pass much longer before they were in each other’s arms again. As the light began to peak through the trees Kaviri quickly put her letter in the cylinder and Graha nuzzled her once more before departing back into the bushes.  Swiftly Kaviri mounted Shaza and started to fly back to her village. Seeing Graha run toward Shaz’Gul she had hope for the next night to come. A small smirk came across her face thinking of his arms around her again.
Do not lost faith in me my star..

Meet Kaviri, a young and silly (but talented) mage who has a love interest in the Shadowmoon Clan. For this month’s writing prompts I am going to post from the timeline of the alternate Draenor before Garrosh came and messed it all up ;)
