Post-timeskip Inoue
I found a conversation on X where someone was basically saying how “The Lost Agent” arc did a lot for Orihime and how she was at her peak in the “Thousand Year Blood War” Arc *cough cough*.
What do you mean, TLA did a lot for Orihime? In what way, exactly? No, because, post-timeskip she’s the same girl who has a crush on Ichigo and still hasn’t confessed to him (while he is conscious, I mean). Her powers are roughly the same? There is her new shield, if I remember correctly, but it isn’t spectacular, and we don’t see her use it much anyway. The only real moment when she has a bit of spotlight is when she comes to heal Ichigo (as usual, I would say, nothing new here) and bounds with Riruka.
And after that, guess what? She is turned against Ichigo, only to be exited from the battlefield and never seen again until the following arc.
Let’s talk about said arc, in which she’s supposedly at her “““peak”””. At her peak wearing a boob-revealing dress (thanks god, Kubo decided to cut that awful scene in the anime, what was going on his mind when he wrote that, seriously?!) and doing strictly nothing of importance until her final tag team against Yhwach?
Let’s be clear, she wasn’t even there because Ichigo acknowledged her powers or had trust in her strength. She was there because she was the only one left. Uryū was busy dealing with Haschwalth, and Chad was fighting his own enemies too.
And they? Lost anyways? The bread girl fans love to say Rukia couldn’t have done anything during the final fight, but what did Inoue do exactly? Her shielding became useless once Yhwach got serious, sssooo…
And though she repaired Ichigo’s bankai, she couldn’t have done so without Tsukishima. I also read something about how the Horn of Salvation of Ichigo was elevated because of her presence? Please, despite having known him for months even years at that point, the girl was still afraid of his “hollow” appearance and he had to reassure her 🙄.
I’m more than exhausted of people unconditionally supporting Orihime who can’t look at her with a critical eye and always try to find whatever possible reason to put her on a pedestal and prove she extremely well-written instead of admitting she could have been handled way better.

Oh, I never saw that parallel, but it’s so interesting!
Still, it’s not surprising to me. I’ve always found Rukia (and Uryū too) to be the ones to represent selflessness the best. This is just an element that confirms it.
Pretty sure her fans are not ready to hear/see the sad truth though, even less accept it.
~Kubo loves to use parallels in his story telling. Let's look at one parallel I noticed this time during my current reread of the manga.
So first, let's look at this conversation between Ichigo and Orihime that I went over in more detail in this post.
Tumblr media
Pay special attention to her words in the panels below. Remember, she already knew about Rukia's situation from Urahara to some degree! From the conversation, we can gather that Ichigo filled Orihime in with more details, obviously not knowing she already knew.
Tumblr media
We see her initial reaction at hearing the story from Ichigo here. She's expressing doubt that Ichigo should rescue her.
Kubo even chose to give us a cinematic look here, where her face is shadowed and we don't see her eyes...
And it's such an odd thing to say when someone says "Rukia was arrested and taken back to the soul society to be put to death." and her reaction is "Will you take her away from her family and friends and bring her back here?" ... you mean the same family and friends that are going to execute her?
But look - as soon as Ichigo's face shows shock, Orihime does a 180 and pivots!
Tumblr media
Even Ichigo is confused by her sudden shift in demeanor.
Tumblr media
Masking....
Tumblr media
Masking..
Tumblr media
And you can see, the whole 180 was an act. She drops her mask as soon as he turns away. Her smile fades. She approaches Ichigo about this as a way to establish why she is going to the Soul Society in the first place (because she can't just tell Ichigo it's because of him. She barely knows him!).
The doubt she was sowing in the beginning was for what? Who would benefit from Rukia not coming back? Who was feeling jealousy for how close Rukia was to Ichigo?
Now, let's compare that to the panels below - where Rukia does something similar to Orihime...
Tumblr media
We see Rukia's initial reaction - very matter of fact, depressed, resigned to her fate. Someone who's given up hope. You see Renji is upset that he isn't getting his typical reaction from her and is saddened by her response. He's not used to seeing her so hopeless...
So what does Rukia do?
Tumblr media
She does a complete 180 herself! She changes her demeanor, teasing Renji about his eyebrows, getting him out of feeling sadness for her. She acts as if she is considering escaping, which we know she is not.
She goads Renji until he becomes annoyed, effectively shifting his emotion from sadness to the more useful emotion of anger.
Tumblr media
She literally winces when he slams the door.
And just like Orihime, as soon as Renji's gone, her mask drops.
So what are these two conversations paralleling exactly?
Both Orihime and Rukia mask in these conversations by switching their demeanor suddenly
Both Orihime and Rukia are able to pick up on the emotions of the Ichigo / Renji respectively
Both Orihime and Rukia drop their masks as soon as the other party is gone
In what ways are they different? Well, in one of the most SIGNFICANT ways. Their motive - the why behind their shift.
Orihime's motive was selfish. When she masked and shifted her demeanor, who's benefit was that for? Hers. It helped her establish a reason for why she was going to Soul Society under the guise of "her friend Rukia". It helped her talk to Ichigo directly when she's had so little direct conversations with him at this point. If her motive had truly been to uplift Ichigo, she would have approached him from the beginning. "I know everything from Urahara. I have powers now and I'm training to work on them so I can help you rescue my friend Rukia." but that's not what she did... Rukia's motive was selfless. When she masked, it was for Renji's benefit. Pure and simple. She wasn't trying to get him to do anything. She didn't ask him to help her escape or to appeal to Central 46 for her or convince her brother to change his mind. No. What did she do? Joked about escaping to give the impression that she wasn't giving up. She teased him about his eyebrows to distract him. She had Renji focus on something other than her impending death. Lightened his mood so he could leave without feeling utter despair that she had accepted her fate. It was for HIS benefit, purely.
There are multiple parallels with Rukia and Orihime in particular. This is just one. But it's an obvious one. It shows the true nature underneath these characters.
And just for clarification, I'm not saying this makes Orihime inherently evil or makes Rukia a saint. Both of them have their flaws and qualities that shine. But Kubo specifically wrote them to parallel one another in this way.

Such a great post!
“Aiding her” when he just sent her flying the second after his transformation, and yet IH stans keep claiming how it’s supposed to show Ichigo’s “love” for Orihime, when it just didn’t and they were both left traumatized along with Uryū.
Seriously, how can you see that scene with your own two eyes and find it romantic, really? That’s so weird to me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Aiding her”?
Who the hell wrote it there? Beast Ichigo almost kills Orihime with one blow x1:
Tumblr media
Thank Ishida for catching her. I remind you she’s just a human, not a quincy or shinigami. She. Could. Die. You don’t see how powerful the blow was in the manga but in the anime it was terrifying:
Tumblr media
Even Ishida is scared:
Tumblr media
I also believe that Ulquiorra understands that his lanza attacks are dangerous enough for himself and Ichigo’s friends while Ichigo in the beast form don’t give a damn (it’s not like Ul cares about Ishida, but knowing Ulquiorra I think he would let Ishida just go):
Tumblr media
Ulquiorra, the 4th Espada, who is a Hollow, never has been such a threat to Hime as Hollow Ichigo’s become.
Tumblr media
“You will die here“ suddenly turns into “She will be allowed to live until the order comes down“. Aizen wouldn’t have returned to LN or HM due to his prime motives. And I bet Ulquiorra knew that.  But still I bet my a*s Aizen wouldn’t wanted to kill Hime cuz for him she’s just a harmless pretty girl no more. Different story for Ulq’s tho…
Tumblr media
Even after that slap he didn’t do anything to her.
Tumblr media
Just imagine what Nnoitra would’ve done to her were he there instead of Ulquiorra.
Tumblr media
Even Grimm did a better “saving”:
Tumblr media
Beast Ichigo almost killed Ishida. There was no protection at all. There was the desire to fight and destroy Ulquiorra. To destroy anybody on Ichigo’s way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ori’s screams meant nothing to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That’s how close Ishi and Ori were to the fight, to the danger.
Tumblr media
If not Ulquiorra that Ichi’s attack would’ve done terrible damage to everybody. Probably killing all of them.
Tumblr media
THE IRONY:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Funny thing: on the first encounter Ichigo was the protector and Ulqui the attacker. In the end tho Ichigo became the attacker while Ulqui - the protector.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also Ichigo came to HM because he cared about Hime (as a friend) but in the end he forgot about her due to his transformation. Ulquiorra didn’t care at all about Hime’s feelings but in the end he was depicted as the one who still cared about her life, realizing his own feelings towards her. Even Hime’s feelings towards Ichigo.
Tumblr media
By the way Ichigo’s reaction over Hime, despite he almost killed her x2:
Tumblr media
Reaction over Ishida, a quincy with high def and restoration powers:
Tumblr media
Even reaction over Ulquiorra, the enemy:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hime after Ulqui’s death:
Tumblr media
Look who’s in the center of Ichi’s eyes when they all went to save Orihime:
Tumblr media
The fallen Rukia was a primary thought for Ichigo, while saving Hime became just a long subquest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The aiding was great, yeah.

I mean, it’s painfully obvious she didn’t go to the Soul Society for Rukia’s sake. Neither did Chad. The only ones who had their priorities right were Ichigo and Uryū (one of the reasons they are my favorites when the two others aren’t).
And the way she just “encouraged” Ichigo, like, ??? To me it sounds like she’s just jealous of Rukia (she admits as much to Rangiku in the next arc) and of the fact Ichigo is ready to go save a girl he barely knows while he’s supposedly “known” Inoue longer.
And yet her hardcore fans have the audacity to say she’s the purest angel to walk the earth, how she never did anything wrong in her whole life and she’s perfect. Yes, of course… 🙄
I don’t even know if Urahara talked to her about Rukia’s situation but if he did, yes, that’s just… really messed up beyond words. I know there’s the story with her brother and all, but it’s no excuse to behave in such a twisted way. And I’m not even talking about how she nearly kissed Ichigo without his consent in the Hueco Mundo arc.
Her stans REALLY should stop glorifying her without second thought.
[Edit because I wanted to add that in top of being jealous of Rukia, she’s also jealous of Nel, and this is something she doesn’t even grow from, she’s still jealous of her in the last arc, nothing changed… But her fans will talk about what an amazing evolution she has… Well, I can’t see it 🫢.]
~Another hot take from my manga reread that I'm going to share with you all
Orihime did NOT go to the Soul Society to save Rukia!
Her motive was purely to follow Ichigo.
Before I continue, I do NOT think this necessarily makes her an evil person. I think this makes her a human teenage girl with a crush who is self absorbed most likely due to her traumatic past.
The point of this post isn't to hate on anything but rather to look at things objectively as they are presented in the manga.
Let's look at those key panels in Chapter 58, shall we?
Tumblr media
Orihime has not had her memory wiped of Rukia presence. That's clue number 1. Why was her memory not affected? Or Chad's? Or Uryuu's? They all remember Rukia quite clearly. We know that it was not the Gotei 13 that wiped their memories.
The most likely culprit for the memory wiping is Kisuke.
Tumblr media
So you can gather from Orihime's words here, Ichigo has just finished telling her how Rukia was arrested and taken back to the Soul Society. Obviously Ichigo informed her there was trouble because she clearly says "you want to help her". Why would Rukia need help if she was not in trouble? She is aware something is wrong based on whatever Ichigo told her off screen.
Then - in a very odd turn - Orihime starts saying "her friends and family are all over there".... which is a very STRANGE thing to say when Ichigo just finished explaining that Rukia's brother was one of the people that arrested her....
Tumblr media
It get's even stranger! She goes on to say "Will you take her away from her family and friends and bring her back here? Is that the right thing to do?" AGAIN - she KNOWS that Rukia is in trouble and that her brother is one of the people that arrested her!
Tumblr media
We know Renji straight up told Ichigo that Rukia was going to be executed.
So what makes Orihime think that the "right thing to do" would be to LEAVE Rukia in the place where her "family and friends" are going to execute her?
Also, note how Kubo chose to frame her in this panel... Specifically as she says this -
Tumblr media
It's dark. Orihime's shadowed. We cannot see her eyes, only her mouth. It's an odd choice for a seemingly "innocent" scene....
Tumblr media
Ichigo's reaction is visibly SHOCKED by this. As it should be because wtf?!
Then we get a real SUDDEN shift from her where she immediately puts on her "fake" smile (because it literally matches the fake smile she does at the Don Kanonji show) and does a complete 180! And her reason isn't "Well of course what I said is all bullshit!"
No, she says "But you've already made up your mind!" Hmm...
Then we get Orihime imitating Ichigo (because she's studied his body language for a while now...)
Tumblr media
Again, showing a fake smile. Consistently the same facial smile we've seen her use when she's covering up for a saying something odd or lying about her feelings.
Tumblr media
It's only AFTER all of this, that Orihime says "I don't want my friend Rukia to die either."
If someone is your friend and you are told that they are going to be executed and you don't want them to die, your first reaction would NOT be to justify why they should NOT be saved!
Also note how surprised Orihime is to notice the resolve in Ichigo to go save Rukia. Like, she's literally looking at his clenched first with surprise.
Tumblr media
Then Ichigo runs off to go ask Urahara to train him. Orihime looks sad as she watches him go and makes this plea for Ichigo to not get hurt. Not for him to rescue "her friend Rukia". But for Ichigo. Again, I'm not saying this is evil of her. But her motive is Ichigo, NOT Rukia.
Hang on, cause here is where it gets even deeper!
Tumblr media
This very next panel. Right here. We see Orihime decide "I won't let him." Meaning she won't let Ichigo get hurt. Then immediately goes to a phone booth and calls Chad to say she has "made up [her] mind".
Now ask yourself. Made up her mind about what? Ichigo didn't ask her to come along. We haven't seen any indication that he spoke to Chad at all.
So again, I ask... made up her mind about WHAT?
Obviously we know it's that she made up her mind about training with Yoruichi to go to the Soul Society too. To follow Ichigo and make sure he does not get hurt, like she said. But... HOW DID SHE KNOW THAT WAS A POSSIBILITY? Ichigo didn't know it was and certainly didn't say anything...
Orihime knows Ichigo is a soul reaper at this point and only souls can go to the Soul Society. She is not a soul reaper. Why does she think it's possible for her to follow Ichigo to the Soul Society?
The only logical conclusion is that Urahara spoke to Chad and Orihime and informed them that they had a choice to make regarding whether they wanted to go and help Ichigo or not. Otherwise, they would not have known it was a possibility at all.
BUT if Urahara did talk to Orihime and Chad beforehand - he must have explained WHY they would be making this choice at all.
SO ORIHIME ALREADY KNEW WHAT HAPPENED TO RUKIA BEFORE SHE SPOKE TO ICHIGO
Otherwise, she would not have known to immediately go call Chad and tell him her decision.
So now - go back and reread those panels above knowing that Orihime ALREADY knew what happened to Rukia. You see it in a different light, don't you?
She couldn't say she was going to follow Ichigo to the Soul Society. She has no prior relationship with him really. Chad was friends with him for years. But Orihime really only interacted with him on a surface level at this point for two months and mostly through Tatsuki. So, of course, the reason could not be Ichigo. She had to say it was Rukia.
And that first part? About whether Ichigo was doing the right thing by rescuing her? It's manipulative. It's dark. As soon as she saw his shocked face, she flipped real quick.
She isn't honest with Ichigo about herself at all either. She doesn't tell him about what Urahara said. Or that she had powers that have awakened. Or that she has a choice to make about going with him. Nothing. No input whatsoever. She wants Ichigo to be honest with her but does not offer him honesty in return...
And you know? You don't have to take my word for her motive. She straight up says it here:
Tumblr media
The ironic part is that she completely failed in this. She didn't heal Ichigo at all until the very end at Sōkyoku Hill.
But you know what's even more messed up? Rukia believes that Orihime did go to the Soul Society to save her. She really does think that Orihime is her friend and cares about her.
Tumblr media
Orihime's expression in that last panel is intriguing. That sadness in her eyes at Rukia's genuine kindness. One wonders if she was about to tell Rukia the truth about her motives for going to the Soul Society...
TLDR: Orihime is NOT a cinnamon roll character who selflessly went to the Soul Society to save Rukia. She is a jealous teenage girl with anxious attachment style that wanted to follow her crush.

Orihime’s status
[As usual, a warning that if you absolutely adore Orihime, think she has 0 flaws and don’t like her character being criticized, this post is not for you, so block or skip and move on with your life. Thanks.]
So.
With Kubo stating again that Orihime is, indeed, a housewife (and doing a part-time job), and me and someone else talking on Twitter about how she deserved better (nothing against housewives, really, I’m talking about wasted potential here) and could at least own the bakery she works at, an IH fan obviously had to show his/her discontent at our conversation, and I needed to react about it here, because really, the bread girl fans (not all the bread girl’s fans but always a bread girl fan, you know the drill) never fail to amaze.
“Stop acting like you can be a bakery owner at 27, bunch of frustrated people.”
??? Who is the frustrated one, here? Not me.  And yes, it’s possible to own a bakery at 27, especially as Orihime has been working at it since high school, so she has experience? Why couldn’t she?
Also, we are in a work of FICTION, with supernatural stuff and all. Does this point really matter?
Plus, it’s not like she must own it by the epilogue. She could be shown, I don’t know, filling up paperwork and being on her way to inherit/open her own bakery/pastry shop. Even that would be a small improvement compared to what we got.
“Like I said, she and Ichigo are still young — their careers are far from over. Ichigo could become a writer and Orihime inherits the bakery where she works one day.”
“Could”, “one day”, so hypothetical, then.
No, their careers aren’t over, but that’s not the problem (plus, Ichigo seems good with being a translator, so I don’t really think he would become a writer, but let’s put that aside).
The problem is the lack of development from Orihime. At the beginning of the Fullbring Arc she is shown working at a bakery, and in the epilogue… there’s no evolution from that. She did not go to university (because she didn’t have money, how lame of an excuse is that of all the excuses Kubo could have chosen?) to study for a job, and isn’t even the owner of the bakery (seriously, in what way would it have been a trouble for Kubo to at least grant her that?). It would have been way more interesting to see at least an evolution from Orihime in the epilogue, but no. She doesn’t even work (again, I have nothing against housewives, but in a time when women are fighting for their rights and against patriarchy (#MeToo, Roe vs Wade, etc), do you really think it is the best kind of representation we can have for a woman, who is a main character on top of that?)
If you’re thinking about what “could” become, it doesn’t mean anything, you can imagine whatever you want and it still won’t be true. What matters now is that she’s mainly a housewife, when she could have pursued higher education, given her cleverness. And Bleach wouldn’t be worse, on the contrary, even. I think that when you have the capacity to study to have a great job, you do it, because you know it would be a shame settling for less. And Orihime has clearly the capacity for it.
“Being a housewife is perfectly fine for her.”
Darling, wake up. Are we talking about this Orihime?
Tumblr media
Are we talking about THIS Orihime?!
Tumblr media
Are we talking about THIS ORIHIME???!!! (Geez, I really can’t stand that passage).
Tumblr media
So let’s be clear. You read Bleach (although it is clear you absolutely didn’t). With your own two eyes (closed, surely). Saw those passages. And still decided to say: “Being a housewife is perfectly fine for her”. And you think you nailed it.
Spoiler: You didn’t.
You saying she fulfilled her potential by being a stay-at-home mother is literally insulting her. No, it just isn’t fine that she’s a housewife with how smart she is and how many careers she wanted to pursue. The three panels above are the literal proof of it.
“She will work full-time when her son is fully grown.”
Interesting. Are you reading into Kubo’s mind to make such a claim? You know nothing of what the author will do with her character (if he even writes the Hell Arc to begin with, even that is not sure). What is the point of making baseless statements?
“Orihime is supposed to represent the perfect motherly figure that Ichigo lost (Masaki) and needed during his childhood, yet you want to separate her from her son.”
?????????
What. The… ?
First, what are you even basing yourself on to declare Orihime has to be Masaki 2.0 ? Orihime and Masaki are nothing alike. Let Masaki rest in peace. She is her own person and so is Orihime. She doesn’t have to be a substitute to a dead woman just because you IH fans need whatever argument you can find to validate your ship. Comparing them absolutely makes no sense, and I don’t care that in the novel, Yuzu and Karin thought they were similar, it was just super weird and just reminded me of the Oedipus complex. Also, no one is without flaws. Presenting Orihime as a “perfect mother figure” just feels dehumanising to me. She is a human being, not a doll or a toy who is supposed to fit criteria. Your words really make me afraid of your conception of womanhood, motherhood, girls and feminism in general.
Second. When did I ever said I wanted to separate her from her kid? Separating her from Kazui would be wanting her to leave the house and go live elsewhere to never see him again. I never said that.
Do you even know there are families where the two parents work? And yet after work they come home to be with their children again. It’s called a normal life, but apparently you can’t comprehend it. Plus, “separate” her when, I don’t know, Kazui is probably at school during the day anyway? You know, like all children?
Moreover, Ichigo is working from home; he is perfectly capable of taking care of Kazui. Why are you so desperately obsessed about the fact that Orihime should stay at home and be the one in charge when Ichigo is right literally there???
“Narratively, it makes no sense”
Of course, it makes absolutely no sense that Orihime, one of the smartest student of her class, with a huge sense of curiosity and creativity, would go to university to study, find a job that suits her, and then goes to work, leaving the child with his father who works from home. The life of a normal family, in fact.
What “narratively makes no sense”, exactly? Because I can’t see the problem here.
But what I can see is your archaic vision of maternity, that’s for sure. You have a twisted vision of Orihime as being Masaki bis (ugh), and as such, according to your weird conception of motherhood, she should just stay at home to take care of Kazui (because apparently Ichigo can’t do so), and when we say that no, we had every right to expect that she was treated better, you’re upset because it doesn’t fit your crazy criteria and ideal of the “perfect mom”.
Yikes yikes yikes. Orihime really deserves better fans.
(This is why most people don’t like the ending. Not just because of the ships, as IH stans keep claiming, but because of what the characters become, and all the plot holes. And unfortunately, the anime won’t change that.)

Desire to protect in Bleach
[Disclaimer: this is NOT a post for Orihime and IchiHime fans, so I suggest you spare your fragile heart the trouble and skip it. If you’re not content with what you read, just block and move on, that’s easy. With that said, off we go.] Today, I saw Ichihime stans (them again, how surprising 🙃) claiming that Ichigo and Orihime are the two characters that want to protect people the most. The exact words were:
“The detail is that Ichigo and Orihime are the ones who most strongly represent the desire to protect others, there is no one in Bleach who has a desire as great as them and that is why they complement each other personally”
I laughed out loud because while I agree with Ichigo (his name and the whole story makes it pretty clear from the start anyways), what on earth is Inoue doing here?! Some of her fans really don’t know what to invent anymore to give her the importance she doesn’t have 🙄.
Orihime is absolutely not presented as someone whose ultimate goal is to protect others. Ichigo and Uryū are. And it’s not even a debate, it’s plainly shown multiple times in the manga.
Regarding Ichigo, he isn’t introduced as wanting to protect everyone at the very start (though, beating the guys who knocked over the vases with the flowers of the dead girl is somehow a hint of his future status as a protector, I guess?). Once he meets Rukia, he starts by saying he’s not the type to let people die without doing nothing, until it turns into a wish of protecting not just his family circle but “a mountain of people” by the time he meets Uryū (he even tells him so).
Uryū, in a flashback, is shown wanting to protect all people from Hollows from a very early age (you can even say he wanted to protect people before Ichigo (who needed a push from Rukia) did.).
Tumblr media
“bUt UrYū PuT tHe WhOlE tOwN iN dAnGeR iN tHe FiRsT ArC”
1 – The bait wasn’t supposed to attract so many Hollows. It is explained later it was Aizen’s fault. If he hadn’t intervened, Uryū would have dealt with them without problems.
2 – Uryū knew about Orihime and Chad having spiritual energy, so it’s logical to suppose he thought they would find a way to deal with them. Or that he thought Ichigo would come to help them. In any case, it sure wasn’t Uryū’s best idea, I’ll grant you that. But it’s not like he started that competition with the goal to hurt them. Plus, what about Ichigo? He never worried about them (okay, he didn’t know they had spiritual energy, but still).
3 – The Hollow competition diminishes in nothing Uryū’s resolve to save people, in fact it has nothing to do with it, as Uryū stated he would not let a single hollow hurt the citizens. The beef he had was with Ichigo and more largely Shinigami. It didn’t affect his will to protect. This will is strong, and Ichigo having the same ideals, it explains why they bound and became friends this fast.
Now, about Orihime. When did she ever start to say her goal was to protect others? She didn’t, actually. Because it was never the case.
When Rukia was kidnapped, she tried to “convince” Ichigo not to go rescue her (some might say she was “““encouraging him”””… But she did so in such a weird way, it was awkward at best), and when she finally went to Soul Society, was it to save Rukia? No, absolutely not, it was just because of her crush for Kurosaki.
Tumblr media
(Let’s be real, Ichigo and Uryū were the only ones who wanted to save Kuchiki because that’s??? the decent thing to do??? while Chad and Inoue did not care about her safety at all. I wonder how poor Rukia would react if she had known at the time (and Chad saying before they leave Uryū is the weakest of them all really makes me dislike him, especially as Chad almost always lost his fights and Uryū was more skilled than them)).
Also, I have to highlight a fact I feel no one ever talks about, but that still strikes me, though.
Who, in the seventeen months timeskip, took it upon himself to protect the city while Ichigo was without powers? Spoiler, it’s not Inoue or Chad.
It’s Uryū, again.
And not only that, but neither Orihime nor Sado left a single finger to help him during that time. Yet they had their powers, so where were they? Because when Ichigo is here, they sure have no problems coming to help him:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fact that, in the Fullbring Arc, Ichigo himself didn’t ask Orihime and Chad to take care of the Hollows while Uryū was in the hospital (instead asking Uryū how they were gonna do with him incapacitated, as if they didn’t have two other friends, hello?), shows how little faith he has in their capacities. None of the two even suggested to help. It could have been a moment of growth, showing they exist outside of Ichigo for once, but no. Even though they were “training” (all that to be brainwashed by Tsukishima in the end, cough cough) the least they could have done was to offer their help to Uryū to protect the town (it’s also their own???). That’s what real friends do. But there was not Ichigo, so they didn’t feel concern, I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️.
And after that, I’m supposed to believe Orihime represents the desire to protect everyone? 😂 Lol, you’re kidding me. She just wants to protect Ichigo and nobody else. When he’s not involved, she just doesn’t seem to care, and Chad is no better. If I remember correctly, part of her went to Hueco Mundo because she wanted to see if Ichigo would rescue her like he did with Kuchiki? She was jealous of Rukia and Nel? But wow, what an amazing portrayal of the desire to protect everyone indeed!
Let’s be clear: I’m not saying Orihime isn’t nice. She is. But is she as selfless or altruistic as some fans makes her out to be? No, she absolutely isn’t. Being nice is different from being selfless/altruistic. Uryū and Rukia are the ones who are the most selfless with a strong sense of abnegation: Rukia in the first arc when she goes back to the Soul Society with Byakuya and Renji in order to protect Ichigo even though she knows she’s likely to be executed for her crime, and Uryū in the last arc when he plans on destroying the Wahrwelt with him inside in order to save everyone, even though he has to become a “traitor” to his friends. Oh yeah, and this boy also sacrificed his powers during the Soul Society Arc, with the aim to protect, again.
You can even put Masaki in there with what she did for Isshin and Ichigo (this is why I can’t stand people saying Orihime ressembles Masaki, because this is blatantly wrong, they’re nothing alike). Her speech to Ryūken before going to rescue Isshin underlines her strong will, which Orihime doesn’t possess and never will.
Now, tell me, when did Orihime put her life on the line for Ichigo like Masaki, Rukia or Uryū did? Because I can’t remember a single moment when she was ready to sacrifice anything for him while she’s supposed to “love” him. She always ended up relying on Ichigo in the end while claiming she didn’t want to be a burden to him (and failing spectacularly each time), and the one time she actually “fights alongside him” (lol), they lose.
This is what true selflessness is like – putting others before yourself:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Certainly not this:
Tumblr media
With that, I rest my case.
[Edit 16/08/2025:
I said on X how some IH fans claimed Orihime represents the desire to protect the most when it isn’t true, and how she has flaws, and someone said:
“But that's not a claim; it's literally in the manga. She also stated her desire to protect others, not just Ichi, and forgave people like Ulq despite his actions; she even healed Harribel despite protests from Renji & Rukia. I don't ship IH btw
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reading this, I really needed to react to it here. I didn’t answer to that person because it would surely turn into endless debates. Also, the “I don’t ship IH btw”, hmm…
I mustn't have explained myself clearly then. I don’t say Orihime has 0 desire to protect, that would be utterly nonsensical. What I mean is that she doesn’t represent that desire the most strongly. Other characters (such as Rukia and Uryū, as I said above) are shown to represent that desire more than her.
“it's literally in the manga. She also stated her desire to protect others, not just Ichi”
Okay, the one with Tatsuki is a fair point, I’ll grant you that. And, to be honest, I would have wanted to see more of that Orihime ready to throw hands at her enemies, cause this scene shows she’s capable of it. Right, she said she will protect Tatsuki, okay (that must be the only scene when she openly states she wants to protect someone else than Ichigo by the way).
However, when you look at it, the “I’ll protect Tatsuki” is quickly followed by the “to protect Kurosaki” scene when Yoruichi asks them their reasons to go to Soul Society. Pay attention to how she doesn’t even say “to protect my friends”, but “Kurosaki” specifically, as if Chad and Uryū don’t matter. See the difference?
Also, funny to mention Tatsuki when Orihime doesn’t even spare her her last goodbye before going to Hueco Mundo. Again, she picked up a guy she doesn’t know very much instead of her best friend who helped her when she was bullied and has protected her for years…
But I digress.
“and forgave people like Ulq despite his actions”
Okay, and? What is the point? We’re talking about Orihime’s desire to protect and if she’s the one who symbolizes that the best. What is the fact that she forgives Ulquiorra doing here? I fail to see how it has something to do with the whole desire thing. Unless it’s more an argument to the fact I said she has flaws? But then again, I never said Orihime isn’t forgiving or only has flaws. She does have qualities, I’m not denying that, but the fact that she forgives Ulquiorra changes nothing to the fact that she still has flaws (one of her main one probably being her jealousy). So I don’t really understand your point here.
“she even healed Harribel despite protests from Renji & Rukia”
Uh, I don’t remember that. I take it it must be in one of the novels? Which one, I don’t know, and it doesn’t really matter, as the novels weren’t written by Kubo himself.
Anyway, again, what does the fact that she heals Harribel have to do with the desire to protect? Of course Inoue isn’t going to let her die. She has even shown compassion to ennemies who beat her up. It’s in her character. Does it mean it’s enough to acknowledge “Wow, this girl clearly wants to save everyone, and absolutely no one in the whole stories represents this better!”? Well no, I don’t think so.
Moving on to the third picture where Orihime is in Hueco Mundo with Chad. She… isn’t even protecting/helping anyone? They are training. Ichigo fought Quilge to free the Arrancars, all Orihime really did was shield Nel, and even then Quilge disintegrated her shield, but if you really want it, yes, I’ll give you the fact she protected Nelliel, okay. But she didn’t do really more than that.
Also. Why are Orihime and Chad in Hueco Mundo in the first place? Because Ichigo went there, that’s all. Now, imagine that, for one reason or another, Ichigo couldn’t go to Hueco Mundo to help the Arrancars. Do you honestly think Orihime and Chad would have gone there to help without him? Of course they wouldn’t have. After they know the situation, they just say “Ichigo, you’re gonna go help them, right? 🥺”, implying that if Ichi doesn’t, they won’t either. So, yes, Orihime can have this “we help Arrancars and Soul Reapers” speech, the truth is that it’s more complex than that (and if she really wanted to help, why didn’t she stay with the Fourth Division and help heal the soul reapers that were hurt by the Quincies?)
I’ll repeat myself, but I can’t stress enough how Orihime didn’t help Uryū for the seventeenth month Ichigo was depowered, while it would have only been logical and be a good argument in favor of her protecting others because that’s what she wants to do. Instead, she said she “trained”… for Ichigo.
In the end, Orihime’s desire to protect is always somehow tied to Ichigo (and the fact that her character revolves mostly around him is an argument I often see when people criticize her). And that’s my biggest issue: You don’t help/protect others just because your friend do it, you help/protect others because it’s simply the right thing to do. That’s what people like Masaki, Rukia and Uryū (and Ichigo of course) do, and far better that Inoue.]

I found out thanks to that tweet that not only Ichihime fans are harassing IchiRuki fans, but also other ships (and ofc, Arthur/Nagato had to made a tweet about how he doesn’t understand Ulquihime).
Ichihime shippers are really toxic, they can’t even accept a single comic :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I was tweeting how IR were getting mad at this and guess what, ofc the second after I had 3/4 Ichihime stans harassing me in the comments and QRTs while I hadn’t asked them anything).
I can’t with them, really. As soon as you don’t defend Ichihime with your life or have a different opinion, they come at you, annoy you, and are being more than rude (as***les even, sorry for the crude language). They’re so insecure and pathetic, and they won’t block you because they need you to attract attention on them because their lame ship just doesn’t have anything.
Worse fan base ever istg.
very well, many people have said that those who prefer Ichihime only fight with the Ichiruki fandom in general and it's really not true in general because that goes way beyond that. It's really annoying not only to be able to ship two characters quietly but also to be forbidden to ship anyone else involved in the "canon" and let's be honest, is it really necessary to give an opinion that you know doesn't count in a publication where your ship has absolutely nothing to do? because yes, it is not only with the Ichiruki but with any ship that is not faithful to the "canon"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My God, they're so toxic and annoying in such a way that they literally invaded an Ulquihime post like this, it's terrible. Although well, that only proves us right, Ichihime had so little chemistry and such no development that they cannot accept that both Ichigo and Orihime had a deeper connection with other characters, so they take refuge in commenting and hating every post that does not belong to the "canon", to feel more secure regarding their poorly written "couple"
Sorry For My English, isn't my first language

I had said this before, but I’m still baffled by the fans who consider Isshin to be an amazing father, while HE HIMSELF admits he isn’t (I think it’s when he comes to see Ryūken after the latter just discovered Uryū’s left for Hueco Mundo.
If he had, he would have started by sending his children to therapy after Masaki’s death, told them her (and also his) real identity, wouldn’t have left Yuzu to do all the house chores, would have helped Ichigo to deal with his power loss (Isshin being the only one with Uryū to know what being literally powerless means) and that’s only a beginning. Not saying he’s the worst but, he has flaws.
I feel like, of the Karakura Four, Uryū was the only one who always had Ichigo’s best interests at heart. In the novel ‘The Death Saves the Strawberry’, Orihime was happy of all things Ichigo did not have his powers anymore, despite him agonizing without them, and didn’t even tell him Rukia was working on a way to give them back to him. Like, what?! Chad? He joined XCution without telling Ichigo despite being his supposedly ‘best friend’. Ichigo did not even know what he was doing.
But Uryū? He was the first one to actually believe Ichigo would get his powers back, even refusing to take his place and only acting in replacement of Ichigo when Urahara suggested he took his role. You might argue he did not tell Ichigo about the truth of the badge, but Ichigo told him himself he wouldn’t have paid attention to it anyways, and Uryū’s will to protect him made no doubt here.
Also, funny how Uryū was the one who stayed by Ichigo’s side during the Fullbringers Arc, and even teamed up with him against Ginjo at the end. While Orihime (the supposed future wife, may I remind you 🫢) and Chad turned out their back on him. You would have thought their friendship (even love from Orihime’s part, the most powerful emotion) would have been enough to break the spell or overcome it (look at how Byakuya dealt with Tsukishima despite being under the influence of Book of the End) but no. Such a strong bond those two have with Ichigo indeed.
The fun fact is, I’m convinced that had it been Uryū Tsukishima had cut, he would still have stayed loyal to Ichigo, like Byakuya. This is why Kubo didn’t put him under the spell, cause he knew it wouldn’t have changed anything 😌.
So, back to the topic, yeah, pretty much everyone manipulated Ichigo, by Urahara, Isshin, Ginjo, Yhwach and co, with a few exceptions. Not talking about how Soul Society is a dystopia and how they have no shame to trick a boy into solving problems they are responsible for 100% of the time.
Anyone ever thought about how Bleach's greatest tragedy is Ichigo's desire was to fight fate but has never had a shred of agency his entire life?
Even when Ichigo sincerely believes he's acting of his own accord; he's merely the puppet dancing to another's strings?
Aizen manipulated his parents into meeting, manipulated Rukia into meeting him.
Kisuke manipulated Ichigo from behind the scenes while Ichigo tried to save Rukia, forcing him to learn skills waaaay above his paygrade before he was remotely ready to further Kisuke's own plans. It could be argued that Ichigo's entire existence was planned according to Kisuke's designs.
Isshin manipulated/forced him to learn Deux Ex Saigo no Getsuga Tenshou without telling him the cost, because apparently it was the 'only way' - despite having Kisuke "I plan for ten thousand scenarios" Urahara on his side. And did little in the way of helping his powerless literally soul-torn son cope with the monumental sacrifice after the fact.
Ginjo Kugo and his followers manipulated Ichigo by stringing along the prospect of gaining Fullbring, so they could steal it to have their revenge on Soul Society. Made easier due to the aforementioned apparent lack of support from Isshin.
Sword!Yhwach has manipulated Ichigo the entire time by turning him against his own soul, sabotaging his growth and ability to harness his powers.
Ichibei manipulated him into undergoing that trial to turn him into a Soul King vessel with the intention of chopping him up as the replacement.
Yhwach manipulated Ichigo into killing the Soul King.
"Give me a blade to shatter fate." is a sad joke and poor Ichigo is the walking punchline.
No wonder why no one told him anything about himself until the last minute. An ignorant tool is an easily manipulated tool.

Ichihime stans about Ichiruki
A while ago, I found a Ichiruki video on YouTube (made with the infamous “Caption Gift” website) where Hitler was in favor of IchiRuki and I found it well done, so I decided to make mine, with Hitler as a representative of IchiHime/Renruki stans. They’re always bothering those who don’t like their ships, and I wanted to make fun at them.
Here’s the link:
https://www.captiongenerator.com/v/2310880/the-ichihime-stans-about-ichiruki.
What else can I say? It’s always my pleasure to show my discontent for the CaNoN cOuPlEs Kubo doesn’t give a damn for (Are IH/RR stans really thinking he’ll start to magically give them full of content because of the cour 4/ending of the anime…? Hope dies last as they say.)

Honestly, it will never not be funny to me how it rained when Rukia and Uryū left Ichigo in their respective arcs but it never did with Orihime, the so-called “love interest” and “future wife”. When you know rain is always associated with Ichigo’s worst moments…
What a peak writing from Kubo’s part 🫢.
It rained when Rukia left and it rained when Uryū "betrayed" Ichigo but it didn't rain when Ichigo discovered Orihime was missing my only logical conclusion to this is that Ichigo has two hands and they're meant for Rukia and Uryū look at my vision boy

“Ichigo’s Puppy eyes to Or!h!me!”
What puppy eyes lol.
The eyes he gave her in the chapter after he fought byakuya during the soul society arc? lol ok Jan.
Those weren’t puppy eyes lol
Mainly a look of pity but whatever
(This post is not for IH/RR fans, so I kindly suggest you to leave now. If you still want to read and end up not liking it, just block and move to other content, I don’t intend to argue with you.)
Ah ah, thanks for the laugh, anon!
By “Puppy eyes to Orihime”, I guess you mean that scene?
Tumblr media
Such “puppy eyes” indeed. To me, it’s nothing special (Ishida too is making a soft face, if you go that way). I mean, she’s just telling him she’s glad he’s okay, of course he isn’t going to look at her with an angry face, that would be stupid. In any case, I don’t see what that’s supposed to mean. But certainly not that he has feelings Orihime, that’s for sure. Ichigo never looked at her with love or any kind of intense emotion that might have suggested he had a thing for her.
(And don’t start me on the ridiculous new TYBW anime scene where Orihime supposedly “faints romantically” in his arms (let’s not forget that when Ichigo woke up just before that, the first thing he did was shout Uryū’s name and completely ignore Inoue 😏)
Tumblr media
Ichigo and the others are just: ?????????????????
I’m still not over the fact he was more lively and had more chemistry with KON AND RIRUKA LMFAOOO
Tumblr media Tumblr media
No, seriously, who are we kidding here. It’s one thing to add scenes/change dialogue lines because the canon ship is so underdeveloped that it needs it to be believable, but please, put some effort into it, I don’t know. Even the new added scene is badly made, with Ichigo inexpressive face 😭:
Tumblr media
I’m on the floor right now. Same goes for the new Renruki scene (if you can even call it like that) by the way.)
While with Rukia:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(And there are so much more, I can’t find them all, but you get the idea.)
Please, Ichigo had more intense and meaningful looks with Uryū:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(There again, there are definitely more~)
Whatever puppy eyes Ichigo makes to Orihime just doesn’t mean anything 🤷🏻‍♀️. Rukia and Uryū are certainly the ones he shares the most significant eye-contacts and chemistry with if anything. We were robbed from this golden trio, I swear.
Just look at how completely devastated and a total mess Ichigo is when those two aren’t by his side during the SS arc and the TYBW arc respectively (and I have to mention it was raining when Rukia was brought back to Soul Society by Byakuya and Renji, and it was raining as well when Uryū’s “betrayal” was revealed. Was it raining when Orihime left? Nope, not one bit, and we know how it rains in Ichigo’s life’s worst moments… Draw your own conclusions 🫢). Not saying he absolutely did not care about Hime being gone, of course not, but she isn’t more special than any of his other friends at all, despite IH stans desperately claiming the contrary.
I’m tired of IH and RR fans desperately grasping at straws to validate/justify their underdeveloped (and yet CaNoN, why the insecurity more than ten years later, I wonder) ship, and still wanting what IR has for itself (the special Sun Ichigo/Moon Rukia for the Bleach Brave Soul tenth anniversary is a perfect recent example of it) and at the same time pretending to be surprised or shocked when people ship IR “iN tHe BiG 2025” 🙄. You can’t go anywhere saying you prefer IR to IH because there will always be an IH stan annoying you. Even for non-shippers (and I count myself amongst them), it’s exhausting. Yes, IR fans behavior hasn’t been always perfect, doesn’t mean you have to hold the whole fanbase responsible for it, and there are definitely bad behaviors from IH stans too.
Going back to the topic at hand because I digress, it’s not because Ichigo and Orihime have some… scenes? moments? together (including the scene you mentioned where Ichigo supposedly looked at her in a “special way”) that it’s enough to make it a good ship. Quality matters. I’ll repeat myself, but he exchanged more intense looks with Rukia and Uryū. The “moments” IH potentially has, IchiRuki and Ichiishi have them x1000 better.
(The “Ichihime romantic moments” in question:
– Hime confessing to an asleep boy and nearly kissing him while unconscious,
– Turning Ichigo into a Vasto Lorde monster, making them both traumatized,
– Failing their only final tag team against Juhabach.
Need I say more? I respect all ships, so I have nothing against people shipping IH/RR. It’s just really not the type of romance I’m rooting for, personally. The fact that it is canon doesn’t mean I have to find it great, and I have plenty valid and rational reasons not to. Poor Orihime deserved better, and it’s not even just about ships.)
Well, this post is starting to get long and I think I made my point clear, so I’ll stop here. Thank you for having sent me this message! I like ranting like this from time to time, eh eh.

Uryū’s choice career
This will probably be a hot take, but anyways.
I think Uryū becoming a doctor in the end of the series makes sense (although, I saw him more as a cardiologist than a pediatrician but it fits him nonetheless).
Some people are upset because they saw him as a fashion designer just because he likes sewing (I’m more upset about Kubo’s non-answer about his love life, but everyone has his priorities I guess). But a hobby can stay a hobby, you know? Not everyone works in the field of their passion. Plus, post-timeskip I don’t remember Uryū sewing anything anymore, which makes me believe he never seriously considered being a fashion designer as a career. He even never explicitly said in the manga/anime that it was a job that interested him.
Besides, it’s not like Uryū never wanted to be a doctor to begin with. He tells Ichigo on the roof in the Thousand Year Blood War flashback that he doesn’t want to be a doctor anymore. Which means he wanted to, when he was little. What discouraged him was seeing his dad autopsying his mother.
Tumblr media
By Kubo’s own words, Uryū and Ryūken settled their differences since Uryū works with his father at the hospital, and I take it as the fact they talked and Uryū overcame (or started to) his trauma. So him deciding to pursue his initial choice of being a doctor doesn’t seem really surprising to me in the end. And it fits his personality perfectly: Uryū has always been a caring and gentle soul, wanting to protect and help others even at the cost of his own life. I honestly can’t see a job reflecting those aspects better than being a doctor.
(Can’t say the same for Chad, though. I’m still trying to comprehend why Kubo made him be a boxer of all things when it literally goes against his promise to only use his fists and strength to protect.)
I feel like people wouldn’t have minded that much about Ishida being a doctor if they had seen him actually really talking about his trauma and slightly overcoming it to end as a pediatrician, rather than suddenly going from “I don’t want to be a doctor anymore” to “busy working at the hospital” in the span of a 10 years timeskip. This is why I don’t like the timeskip and would have preferred an open ending. With a timeskip, you can’t develop anything and can’t see things progressively develop and this results in some weird things (like how two characters with no chemistry ended up married with a kid or how characters have a job that doesn’t seem to correspond them), while you don’t have to worry about such things with an open ending.

Note
This sums up my thoughts exactly.
Somehow some IH/RR stans who got their undeveloped endgame ship don’t understand why people want to see Uryū marry cause he “is much better alone”, “not everybody needs to marry to be happy” and other arguments like this (but are okay with Chad who manifested like 0 interest for romance, I fail to see the logic here). Also, I’ll definitely never understand the appeal of some for the Nemu/Uryū ship when their interactions had zero romance or chemistry. Sharing some screen time together isn’t what makes romance. Kubo didn’t deny the possibility of Ishida marrying, so we’ll have to see what he’s up to for Cour 4 and Hell Arc.
Also, yeah, Isshin was acting weird here and there, I’m surprised not many people pointed that out and that he was viewed as a perfect father when he never told Ichigo what happened to his mother until the Thousand Year Blood War Arc while he had every right to know (probably it was to protect him, but still, I’m not over it yet.)
If you want to see IH hypocrisy without bringing IR or UH, just see their statement over Uryuu Ishida :
They said is make a sense Uryuu remain single because "Not all being married equal to be happy. Being single can be happy too" and "Uryuu deserve to focused his career". When they hear someone said "Orihime deserve a better career or focused on her own life instead of marriage" or "Orihime deserve a scholarship", they get mad and said we are so heartless misogynist
They love make HC Uryu become Kazui doting rich single uncle and they hate when Ishihime shipper draw Uryu or write a fanfic as good father
They claim Bount Arc is boring and worst filler which deserved to be forgotten but still consider Yoshino Soma as Uryu first love. And they mad at fans who ship Ichisenna or joke Senna as Ichigo first love.
They said Kubo is a goat for not support Watsuki since he is a p3do. But wanted Uryu to be a groomer for waiting Nemuri Hachigo grow up so Uryu can marry her since she is still Nemu
They said Orihime didn't deserve Uryuu kindness and praise her choose Ichigo over Uryuu because she isn't gold-digger. Forgeting that Orihime never grow her obsession toward Ichigo
They said IR makes no sense and zero romantic and UH is toxic and abusive. But ship Ishinemu who barely any kind of meaningful interact. Uryuu spare her not out of love, but she posed no threat unlike Mayuri. Ishinemu is zero romantic and Uryuu doesn't consider her as a one of his beloved friends in his friendship speech at Haschwalth
Not sure if it's you who sent me a similar ask so I'll answer both here.
Dudebros sure are hypocritical. They wanna force everyone to accept the canon Kub0 gave us at the end yet they themselves pick & choose what they consider canon. Anything that directly goes against the "perfect, planned end" Kub0 created is a high offense to them.
I think they also deep down don't want to see/accept that Ishida ending up with Ori would've made sense. They don't think he "deserved" her but don't wanna admit it ("H-How could he be a better prospect than our badass MC? Kub0 can do no wrong!"), so it sounds like they're just self-inserting into him or pretending they care about him. He clearly looked unhappy in that final color spread & didn't Kub0 say recently that he didn't see Ishida getting married? (Hmm, it couldn't be cuz Ori is out of the question & he'd rather be alone than to pull a "married to someone I don't love" stunt like Ichigo in order to defeat Ywach?)
They call Kub0 a GOAT while conveniently forgetting the weird stuff he also did in his manga, like Isshin acting perverted towards his own young daughters...

This!!!
As much as I don’t want Uryuu to be alone/lonely (especially since there is no real reason to me why it should be so when every other member of the fans has their special someone), I don’t see him with Nemu or Yoshino either. Even if I may understand the appeal, here were no romantic interactions between them (well, at least there were interactions, can’t really say the same for Uryū x Bambietta). Maybe more with Yoshino, but it was not canon, and she died… like Nemu.
I see him well with a new original character that Kubo will introduce later, in the Hell Arc. Maybe one of her colleagues, indeed, or a surviving Quincy? I think I would prefer somebody spiritually-aware/with powers, but a normal woman is fine too, I guess. As long as my boy has his happy family 🥹.
" Of course Kubo make Uryu single because Nemu and Yoshino are dead "
Are you freaking serious ?
Tumblr media
First of all, none of these women are Uryu "love interest". Let me explain from Nemu :
Both Uryu and Nemu in CANON only interact TWICE. After Uryu succeed defeated Mayuri and after Mayuri killed Szayelaporro. Both these interaction shown absolutely zero romantic and no intimacy. Uryu spared Nemu because she posed NO THREAT. Nemu offered him antidote to curing the poisoning to stopping Uryu chasing Mayuri. Yep, no romantic or intimacy here. Is purely pragmatic reason.
"But Uryu blushed at her after being muffled with her boobas and seeing Mayuri "healing" her" . And so Renji, a man who loved Rukia, also blushed too. That's blushing of embarrassment
" She help him by gave him a temporary Quincy power in Bount Arc". In FILLER ARC which consider to be MOST BORING ARC of BLEACH. Not count !
Uryu never consider her as one of his friends, teammate or ally. And so Nemu too. She only care about Mayuri. If she such an important for him, Uryu should include her on his "friendship" speech during his battle with Haschwalth
"Uryu could change her" OOOH ! Stop fantasizing about this ! I know Uryu is a good man and polite with the women, but THAT NOT HIS RESPONSIBILITY to change her. You just wanted this because you want projecting yourself onto him to fantasizing about Nemu
And here Yoshino Soma :
You said that Bount arc is boring and dull, with uninteresting villain. And so Yoshino. She is boring, dull and uninteresting. What is her character about ? She just wanted to die because she hate Jin ? Uryu can't change her mind ! Yeah... that is ! In short, she is NOT CANON. Simple answer !
If Yoshino is such a popular or interesting in boring filler arc, why she isn't include in Bleach Brave Souls ? They even include freaking Rurichiyo in Brave medal character and also revamped Makoto Kibune and Amagai player character despite comes from an underrated filler arc. Yoshino doesn't included means that she just as dull as her arc.
" So, you wanted to see him alone and lonely ? "
No ! I would rather to see Uryu happily married or together with his fellow doctor colleague who can accepted him and break Ryuken cold parenting cycle by becoming a doting father. He deserved understanding and loving partner, not an empty husk who only loyal to their creator

Reminder
Daily reminder that people are allowed to have an opinion on something and be vocal about it. It can be an opinion different than yours, doesn’t mean you are necessarily right or your opinion is the only one valid, no matter how many times you claim it.
Not liking a ship and expressing it is not “bringing negativity or hate”. As long as it is done respectfully and without insults (“bad” or “boring” don’t count btw), there’s nothing wrong with it. You finding a ship (even canon ones, yes) great or super developed doesn’t mean everyone thinks it is the case. Same for a character: your idea of what you think is best (whatever trait, goal, love life, etc.) for him/her isn’t the same for everyone. Shocking, I know.
If you don’t like a ship or a view about a character, the best is just to ignore and focus on the ones you like. Please don’t force people to accept your vision of things.
