I think the gays should lowkey engage with the show. Every tweet of that woman is a subtle insult for the real fans na matiyagang naghihintay ng improvement. Ang unfair lang para sa inyo(fic and video creators) na nagsusuggest lang naman ng mga ideas.
The cons would for sure a punch for JaneNella career, maiiwanan sila. Kaya rin siguro ang tapang magdrop ng mga subtle insult kasi alam niya the gays are down bad. Ah basta, nakakainis. Akala ata nila dahil puro suggestions ang fandom eh gusto na agad ihighlight ang dalawa together like their agenda with their integral main character. Hehehe.
Salute sainyo na very vocal sa pagsupport. Swerte ng JaneNella sainyo.
Ps. Aabangan ko na lang po sa a03 ang inyong mga fics hahahaha galing niyo po magsulat, very creative ang ideas and engaging ang narration. More smut pa po HHAAHAH
Honestly, JRB and the show is lucky that the fans are still willing to watch despite the insulting way the prod team interacts with their audience. I have seen and been part of fandoms that mercilessly drops shows and fully stop supporting the cast just because the network/executives were disrespectful to the fandom. Ultimately, it comes down to - how much are we as a fandom willing to take in support of JaneNella? Worth it naman to show support for just the two in recognition of their talents and efforts.
To be honest, I watch the show cause as a writer, I want to see how the characters I write about change and evolve in the canon media. I do think there have been some improvements lately, but the production is balancing several interests - not just our fandom's but also the other shippers and of course, the general public. This would lead to those "Teleserye" moments that appeal more to the casual viewer. For some, that's a big turn off, and for others it's a pain they can stomach. I'm clearly in the second camp.
I engage with the prod team whenever there is room for good discourse, but there's no point in exhausting ourselves fighting them when we can utilize our energy supporting JaneNella and the cast instead.
