tbh i'm grateful for the flashback episode of the ahsoka show now as a proof of concept of live action clone wars anakin and teenage ahsoka, like i'm much more excited now by the idea of those figures showing up in longer scenes during s2 kenobi show. i think ariana greenblatt did a really good job and i'd like to see her expand the role, plus like... if i only had the first season kenobi show terrible wigs and mediocre deaging, i might been dreading it a bit to have more extended sequences lmao but now i really do think they could pull it off to have the team together with "their" padawan during the clone wars

the scale of the mustafar miniature they made for revenge of the sith is so impressive to me. it's cool to know that the environment was not all a digital composite, that they did indeed film a physical model of this scope and complexity, like so much effort went into this, rinzler reports it was six months of shooting, which is wild, but the end result was worth it.

Miniature Coruscant sets from ATTACK OF THE CLONES (2002). I never realized how much the prequels relied on practical effects. I’ve shown some of THE PHANTOM MENACE sets before, and Mustafar, and now these. Even more later.

I haven’t watched any of the prequels in about 15 years. After seeing all these images of miniatures however, I do see the films in a different light now.
