I did this thing for my sketch group at work. I just thought it turned out pretty cool.

So I drew this picture of my dog.  He’s never looked so elegant. The double-chins really get me, though.

Next on the list, the madame with a heart of gold; Mercy O'Donnell. Nobody can resist the charms of this one known as "The Eyes".

Hey man, I saw your awesome take on Jim Nightblade and I was wondering if you draw comics at all? I write my own web comic, it's a small town crime anthology. I'm always looking for artists to work with, and I really dig your style. If that at all sounds interesting, feel free to shoot me an e-mail at luke.fleishman@gmail. Either way, keep drawing awesome stuff!
Thanks for the love!  I do, but not so much recently.  Check out my portfolio at kurthershey.com, and I have the pages I did for that.

My take on the Shadowrunner, Jim Nightblade.  Nobody mess with him, he's a man with nothing to lose

My poor car isn't handling Canada so well.  It's out a headlight and we need to jump the battery every morning

Just a fun sketch, experimenting with some different techniques.  Ali helped me with the colors, I'm not super great at colors.

Video

A little while back I was contacted by the awesome folks over at Soul Pancake to do one of their Art Attack videos! It was such an amazing experience, and definitely a challenge to come up with a painting out of thin air in about four hours. It’s funny, inevitably there are things about this particular painting that I would have changed had I had time to step back from the process of painting it, but I sort of like having this time-capsule of what my initial thought-process is like. It’s certainly enlightening, and I think has helped me to fix some bad painting habits I had developed. Just goes to show you, sometimes you need to see your work through the prism of another medium, in this case, video!
The Soul Pancake crew were wonderful, and I want to give a shout-out to Jacob Menache, Ethan Coco, Gary Haroldson, and the director, Bayan Joonam - you guys ROCK! Also, many thanks to Anabella Casanova for contacting me about this opportunity.
I also did a short interview about what I do, my process, and my thoughts on art and adventure, which can be viewed here!

hi :) so you never had a problem with it ? i'm kinda scared of buying that app. once i brought a similar one and it was waste of money... lol
Oh, I didn't realize they charged for it now.  Yeah, i think it'd worth it, they always have really good and varied artists, and I've never had a problem with it, technically speaking

Twitter: The Comic is a collection of comics based on the greatest tweets of our generation. The source material is used verbatim, typos and all. Despite the seemingly random nature of the tweets, the comic has reoccurring characters and story arcs that aren’t fully understood unless experienced through a single reading. With explicit permission from the writers of each comic, Twitter: The Comic could be a pretty rad book.
