How to Romanticize Studying Alone & Actually Stay Focused 📄‧₊˚🖇️✩ ₊˚🎧⊹♡
Idk about you all, but I love being around others when i’m studying, but others either aren’t studying or you keep yapping until you realize whoops! Hours went by!
1. Set the Vibe with Music or Ambience
• Lo-fi beats, piano instrumentals, or soft indie songs? Pick a playlist that makes studying feel cozy.
• Try a background café ambience, library sounds, or even rain noises for extra ✨ focus energy
• Noise-canceling headphones? A game changer.
︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶
2. Create a Dedicated Study Spot
• Even if it’s just clearing off your desk or making a cozy corner with a blanket and pillows.
• Light a candle, grab a warm drink, and pretend you’re in an aesthetic study montage.
• If your usual spot feels meh, try moving locations—your brain loves novelty!
︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶
3. Romanticize Your Study Materials
• Use colorful pens, cute sticky notes, and make your notes look good (but don’t get lost in ✨over-decorating✨).
• Handwrite key points to help your brain process info better.
• If digital notes are more your thing, organize them neatly with a color-coded system.
︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶
4. Use a Timer to Stay on Track
• The Pomodoro method (25 minutes studying, 5-minute break) keeps you focused without burnout.
• Try “study with me” videos to feel like you have a virtual study buddy.
• Don’t trust yourself? Use a website blocker to keep distractions away.
︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶
5. Romantic Study Breaks Only
• Stand up, stretch, make tea, or look out the window and daydream like you’re in a Studio Ghibli movie.
• Avoid doom-scrolling—your break should feel refreshing, not like a black hole of social media.
︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶
6. Make it a Solo Study Date
• Wear comfy clothes, make your favorite drink, and treat your study session like an act of self-care.
• Reward yourself after! A good meal, a cozy movie, or a walk outside = motivation to keep going.
︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶
7. Remind Yourself: You’re Romanticizing Growth
Studying alone isn’t boring—it’s you investing in yourself, your knowledge, and your future. Even the small efforts add up. Keep going, and soon you’ll look back at this moment with pride. 🤍

I need to find the fun in studying again.
It’s all interesting, there is a lot that I don’t know and I have the privilege to be able to invest my time in learning some of these things.
I just have to sit down and start. The fun will come along the way.

Healing feels surreal sometimes. I can vividly recall all my worst moments. Crying and sobbing on the bathroom floor, wishing for all of it to be over, covering my mirror so I didn’t have to look at myself and so many more. I feel so much empathy and sorrow for this poor creature I used to be and I can’t believe that these memories aren‘t my life anymore.
Walking by a mirror, looking in my own eyes, seeing my reflection, accepting and loving every part of myself, even the imperfections. It‘s a whole new life I am living.
I don’t have to ask others for approval anymore, no more „Am I cute, beautiful, smart, strong, wonderful?“, I can truly and wholeheartedly say for myself „I AM cute, beautiful , smart, strong, wonderful!“ and I believe every word of it, because I trust myself.
It truly does get better. Not only better, but good.
Trust yourself, be kind to yourself and look for the good things in life. Everything will fall into place and you will be okay.
Believe me, because I lived to see it for myself.

All my life, I loved maths. Studying for math exams? FUN! You have a type of problem and a logical way and structure of solving it and it works every time. Sometimes you have to think about it a little bit, solve it like a puzzle. But since I got to university, math isn't so fun anymore. Often times, the problems seem to be solvable with the same strategy as the last 24 problems of the same kind, but then it just doesn't work anymore. You get nowhere for hours until you finally are frustrated enough to look at the solution and it's some shady trick some mathematics professor pulled out of his ass, which is only applicable with this exact problem. It's so frustrating.

I just finished "The Orange Girl" by Jostein Gaarder (I read it in German as "Das Orangenmädchen"), and I loved it!
In the end, I had to cry so hard that I now have a headache.
It talked about the idea of life, love and loss. Not only the loss of a family member, but of the loss of life itself as a person. It touched me deeply and made me think about my family and life, and also made me question a lot of things.
It is just overall a great read and I can only recommend it to everyone, who has a beating heart.
First, I wanted to list some of my favourite quotes from the book here, but they were just too many. So I decided on my favourite quote.
"I realized, that the world is beautiful."

YES, THIS!!! Absolutely. Finally, someone put it into words.
the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.
if I used this word in a sentence, would it make sense? absolutely. if you asked me what it meant, could I tell you? absolutely not.

Don't you hate it? When you're so ill, that you can't do anything? All those books on your shelf, all this studying you could do, all those trips to the café and all those walks through the park, everything has to wait for you to get better.
Instead of doing everything that you love, you have to lie in bed, drink tea that tastes like penguin feet and everything hurts. I hate this.

Sometimes, Time doesn't flow like water, doesn't crash like waves of the stormy sea, just isn't the liquid fabric the universe is woven from. But sometimes, it does and it is.
Sometimes, Time is like sticky Jelly, glues together life and purpose and free will. It traps you, makes you walk through morass and pulls you under three inches for every one you're walking. But sometimes, it isn't and it doesn't.
Time is not our friend, but not our enemy either. It is itself. It is life and death, creation and destruction. It does what it wants, and it does not listen to our begging pleas.
